Whin Hill - Medium Sparkling Norfolk Cider (Batch 495 / 6.8 % ABV) 🍺

Firstly I have no affiliation to Whin Hill but I love every cider I've had fron there.

This one for me was very much like a good quality vintage.

Perfect balance of flavour and dryness.

Vocation Brewery - Life and Death Classic IPA 🍺

6.5 ABV pale ale

I actually think this is a nice refreshing beer.

Not too heavy on the hop flavour and certainly sessionable in my opinion

Homemade Beef Biryani and Onion Bhaji 🍲🧅

Delicious biryani and bhaji my wife cooked in the week.

Perfectly seasoned beef with a balanced level of spices 😋

Finished off with a superb onion bhaji with I left til end and dipped it the minted yogurt

Football Beers 🍺⚽

Picked up these world cup novelty beers

Haven't tasted them yet.

Am intrigued by the hogs back beer.

Any one else got any thoughts ?

My clubbing mates favourite drink 25 years ago💜

Had this whilst out for a meal a few nights ago.

Thought it would be a reminder of my old mate.

Still a fairly decent beer. Flavour was ok , but not the same as I remember. Strangely enough I used to find this beer a bit dry but even that seems to have gone.

This version was brewed in UK.

Be interested to hear about the original versions of this beer , Which is probably the one my mate used to like to drink while we were out in town.

Fish , Chips and Peas @ Boatmans Rest in Barnsley 🍴🍺

Never have I been disappointed with Boatmans Rest.

Staff are always friendly too.

Lovely little place nestled in the town of Worsborough on outskirts of Barnsley.

Ordered this from specials board earlier in week.

Homemade chips, succulent fish in batter and school dinner style mushy peas 😋

Delicious from first bite to last.

(I have no affiliation to Boatmans Rest. This is just somewhere I like and wanted to share)

Visited Milk From The Hills 🥛🐮

I've heard the hype and seen stuff on social media so decided to visit Milk From The Hills this week.

Unfortunately the desert parlour wasn't open as I'd look forward to that. But they looked to be taking a midweek opportunity to do some renovations , Can't blame them for that.

As for the place. It's clearly a place that's heading for bigger things and I enjoyed the novelty of getting locally sourced milk in a variety of flavours from the vending machines

I like the Merch and that they had other 3rd party items on offer such as cheeses and cakes.

I got a strawberry shake and a bottle to bring home to use as a vase later.

I enjoyed the tranquil setting in the midweek sunshine

What are your thoughts ??

** I have no affiliation with Milk from the hills. This is just somewhere I visited in the great borough of Barnsley**

Island's Premium Apple Cider (Aldi UK ) 4.5 % ABV 🍺

First time trying this.

It's not artisan or craft but for a budget option in mid week sunshine here in UK I didn't mind it at all.

The carbonation was balanced with a rounded apple flavour. Sessionable in my opinion.

Belhaven Black - Scottish Stout (4.2% ABV)🍺

Picked this up from Lidl a few weeks ago.

I think it may have replaced Brewdog Black Heart ?

Always enjoy this on draught and was interested to see how the can version measured up.

I actually enjoyed this brewed. I had it at nearly doom temperature and found the taste malty and smooth and certainly sessionable.

Grimbergen Dubbel-Double (6.5%abv) 🍺🇧🇪

Fantastic Belgium abbey beer.

Nicely rounded bitter flavour which I found very moreish.

Despite the 6.5 %abv I found this ale very easy to drink.

Whin Hill Single Variety Norfolk Perry (Thorn) ALC 5.5% Batch 481🍺

Fabulous craft Perry right here.

Very crisp fruity cider with a hint of dryness

Big fan of Whin Hill cider (Yes I know this is Perry but I will have a cider post to follow)

Certainly recommend if you in Norfolk 👍

Rheinbacher Weissbier in sunshine with friends 🙏🍺

Just a pretty standard Aldi UK wheat beer here.

Had it a few times in bottle. But this was my second bottle in can form.

You know wot. I thought it was just fine. I mean I was sat with friends so wasn't really in full beer critic mode and this went down just right.

Not as flavoursome as most mainstream wheat beers. But on a budget it worked and the sunshine helped 😋😎🍺

McEwan's Export ( 4.5% ABV 🍺)

Not sure what to say about this .

Had this on draught in Scotland many years ago and thought it was spot on.

This version I picked from B+M isn't the same in my opinion. Looks to now be brewed by Carlsberg in England.

Thought this beer tasted very basic , Not much going off with flavour. Got one can left from the 4pack I bought. Going to give it a short chill and see if I can release some flavour.

One of best beers I've had in a long time.

Northern Monk - Bobbi Abbey Hazy IPA 6% ABV

One from back the of beer cupboard.

You know wot , I try loads of beers and have my fair share of rubbish ones.

This isn't one of them.

Great citrus and hoppy flavour. Does wot a good beer should and takes you on a journey

North Riding Brewery - Citra Pale 🍺

Fabulous 4.5 %abv pale ale here from North Riding Brewery in Yorkshire England.

Had this over bank holiday in sunshine.

Fine balance of hops , smooth and just general moreish flavour. Very sessionable in my opinion.

Would certainly gravitate towards in future

Rheinbacher Weiss bier (5%abv) 🍺

First time trying this Aldi wheat beer since it's move to cans.

I didn't mind the previous bottled version and found it value for money when on a budget.

Obviously it wasn't really going to compete with Erdinger or franziskaner and other not so mainstream wheat beers. But it was fine.

This new can version seems to have lost a little flavour. Whether that's just the can I'm not sure.

I have another can which I'll have later in week for another opinion but for now , What are peoples thoughts on this ??
