It's no secret that the app is a buggy, malfunctioning piece of 💩 which freezes, doesn't have any continuity in terms of picking up where you left off, search option not always present. The help selection under settings doesn't lead to anything.

I have the app on my phone but have yet to use it. Does it work any better than the streaming app on your TV?

BLQ needing a lawyer for not coming to the aide of an accident of which she had no knowledge, possible jail time for scraping a guardrail (which she wouldn't have had to do had smooching Jordan kept her eyes on the road) is sloppy, fantastical writing. It's so unbelievable. A misdemeanor for scraping a guardrail while trying to avoid an accident?

And they keep doubling down on the storyline, despite truckloads of negative fan pushback.

NYS has no Good Samaritan law. Legally BLQ could have seen the accident and done nothing. If she had tried to help and inadvertently caused harm, she could have been sued. No Good Samaritan shield laws.

Now BLQ (who seems to be very different from the BLQ I have heard about), is doing the grovelling tour.

Curtis of course blaming BLQ because he can't resist the impulse to berate Isaiah without proof, even assaulting him. How is his lack of self control anyone's problem but his own? If there was better writing, Curtis would be in anger management.

Also, enough with Saint Willow and double jeopardy. Willow could be prosecuted in federal court, for the attempted murder of a sitting congressman. No statute of limitations. Just idiot writing and they double down

On 2012 show Major Crimes, S1 Ep4 he plays a cheesy life coach (" intuitive life strategist") who sleeps with his clients, wives of Israeli drug runners.

Major Crimes just started a run on Netflix.

On the show Suburgatory (2011-2014) S2 P11, he plays a new age guru named Yoni.

I lived with it for a bit and decided I don't like it. All the tiles for what I watch are small so they can fit in ads for other shows. Most are available on streaming networks with commercials, which I rarely if ever watch.

I have to scroll for twice as long because the content I actually use is displaced by ad tiles, including tiles twice the size of others. I doubt I can use the * to get rid of them.

Edit: I went into settings and removed the recommendations listing. So much better, thanks! Also going to remove the "quick" option.

Does anyone else skip the Pria episodes? I think she's annoying and shady.

My brother and SIL bought a house on an isolated rural hill in 2017l, in the US. I also moved in, renting a walk out basement apartment.

There was a very friendly cat wandering the neighborhood. We learned from the neighbors that he had been dumped there 2 years ago. He was living on what he killed and an occasional can of cat food.

Nobody had taken him in, so my SIL decided to. He's a very affectionate cat, got along really well with their older cat and dogs. Taught manners to a kitten they later adopted.

Six years later, their elderly dog passed and they unknowingly adopted a reactive dog off the internet. So I went from cat Auntie who never had a cat before, to cat mom.

He's the best possible starter cat, but my dog is terrified of him. Family had another cat who killed everything, scared my dog, and was eventually killed by the reactive dog after attacking him twice. So my dog remembers that cat. Buddy the cat gives him lots of space.

Here's where the problem comes in. In about 2 years they're selling the house and retiring to Spain. They can't take Buddy with the reactive dog.

Buddy has spent 11 years roaming this isolated area. In good weather he's outside more than inside. In bad weather he really wants to go out, goes briefly because he hates using a litterbox. But he is not the type of cat to be a strictly indoor cat.

Nobody in the neighborhood wants to take him in after the house is sold. I will be leaving about 6 months to a year earlier, so they can redo my space before they put the house on the market.

Any apartments even remotely near civilization doesn't come with outside space. I would be lucky to get a place with a 3'x 5' balcony. Being a single senior woman, I don't want to look for an isolated place out in farm country. The places where you can't get food delivery or a ride share. If I can find one. But I will if I have to. Buddy needs outside space.

Buddy was a couple years old in 2017, so he's around 12-13 now. I know it's going to be hard for him to adjust to a completely new outdoors area. People are saying I should list him with a rescue, but rescues are swimming with cats.

And I don't trust people. Someone who seems to have cared for him (judging by how friendly he is) ditched him. The family I got my dog from looks to be a picture perfect nuclear family, but they kept him crated for 12+ hours a day and hit him.

Am I doing the right thing? I can't see any other alternative. Maybe not the right thing for me, but I have a responsibility to Buddy. I don't know if he will stay in whatever isolated rural place I find, or will he try to work his way back to the old neighborhood?

My TV has has been background for awhile, while I was doing something else. So I put anything which I needed to pay attention to on hold. That included Starfleet Academy. I had started it but went into my background tv phase.

I just watched S1 E8 The Life of the Stars. It was very moving, had a lot to say and think about. Well worth paying attention.

My mom was strict in that if you were going out in the evening you had to have a destination and a return time. And she had to have specific names as to who with. My dad less so.

But the micromanaging of millennial helicopter parents would have been suffocating!

I have notifications for 23 chat messages. I can't tell the old from the new and really don't chat anyway. There was one on July 23 which said hi. I never clicked on it but it's greyed out like an old post notification. Like all the rest. If I even felt motivated to respond I wouldn't notice something new. Awhile ago I noticed one I might have responded to, but by then it was several months old.

Is there any way to get rid of these old messages so that the new ones stand out?

Also, there's a number above messages saying there are 23 messages. There aren't 23 new messages. I've been on Reddit for years. That's a lot of messages. It's such a visual mess that I don't even look anymore. The 23 number is a relatively new thing, so it drew my attention.

I received an email for a 30% off sale on everything. I ordered a bunch of things, but after checking out I discovered that 30% had a maximum amount of $10. My bad, I didn't notice that under the graphic which took up 3/4 of the email was a notice that said the maximum discount was $10, very unlike Vitacost, which had no limit. A lesson to look for the fine print, especially when a business changes hands.

I'm a woman. I pretty much know immediately (if not shortly thereafter) upon meeting a man whether anything is going to happen. Not every woman is like this, but quite a few are.

If a man isn't on the same page then or within a short amount of time, my brain sort of reclassifies them as a friend. I have many brothers so am used to being around guys.

I admit I may be an acquired taste, but a year of hanging out as friends, then springing the romance out of nowhere? It's destabilizing. If they were back then where they are now, things would have progressed differently. It's all timing.

I did a Zumba class at a gym. The ac wasn't working in the room and it was hard to finish.

As we walked out, I was talking to another woman about complaining. She said we should say it's an unsafe environment for senior members. "I'm 54 and you're what, 45? Together we make up a senior", she said.

I'm 69 years old. Sunblock since I was in my mid-teens and accepted that my fair skin would always burn and never tan. It paid off.

It looks as if there are 2 apartments per floor. Imagine having good friends or a compatible sibling living close enough to walk across the hall, but separate enough to have your own lives. Best of both worlds.

My mother used to start us off with a homemade egg nog for breakfast. Eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon, all into the blender. We had it with toast. If we were lucky, it was a cinnamon toast morning. It was a quick and nutritious way to feed us before the school bus came. It was an easy thing for us to make when we were young kids, around 8 or 9.

Now there are so many warnings about it, but we never got sick. Were store bought eggs different way back then?

I remember all the guys during my teens. I had brothers who had friends. Neighborhood guys. Guys I and my friends dated. Does anyone remember not just a random guy, but guys in general having hairlines starting to receed in their teens, hair on top noticably thinning?

I was on another sub which I found through my feed. So many teen guys visibly losing their hair at age 16 and thereabouts. I don't remember this being a thing at all. Lots of jokes about someday looking like your dad, but nobody actually lookinging as if they were heading in that direction.

Am I misremembering?

Every parking place is full. It's like trying to find free street parking at an event. Drove through twice, cars in bus spots. But there's turnover.
