Back to the 70s
Barbie was caught taking a soap opera break, when her friend popped by for coffee. She suggested that they take their coffee out by the pool.
Superstar Repro is on Looks 13 body.
**Is anyone’s memory tickled by the window? I created the window from a frame, detail tape, and a print of the graphic from the original Townhouse, 1972.
I love this girl! Hands down one of the best dolls Mattel has produced in awhile…..of course, I still had to customize a bit. she got some new hair plugs in one of my all time favorite colors, frosted brunette from Restore Dolls’ Katsilk Saran, and a boil perm.
She is wearing an outfit harvested, yet again from a poor ILY doll. I have had my eye on this outfit for hers before the doll was released….it finally went on sale at Target this week.
These are the same frames I used the other day. For that backdrop, I kept the frames (with the detain tape to create the panes) clear and put a fabric backdrop behind them, adding a patio in between for depth.
Because the cheapest 11 x 14 frames I could find were in a 10 pack on Amazon ($16.99), so I have plenty of spares. I knew I had some calendars tucked away in my craft stash, so today I dug them out and created 2 ready to go windows.
Quick, easy, and inexpensive. I am hoping to find some inexpensive location calendars, and I did order a large print of my own backyard, because I thought that make be a fun backdrop.
I am loving this!
I have been caught between two mostly finished projects, a store and the Frozen castle make over…..not very motivated to finish either….so let’s start another.…
Cheap frames and some detail tape and viola, some floor to ceiling windows. I used a backdrop here, but will also just add in photos/posters/calendar pages for quick and easy backdrops.
Details for those interested….
Teela got a new side part. I added plugs in Restore Doll Katsilk Saran: Autumn Blonde and Sun Kissed. She stole the snap hand from the new Deluxe Style doll, and her body from Barbie Basics #2….even though she had articulation, as soon as I started taking pictures, I knew… I need a full MTM. Her outfit is from XianXian Princess; I added the trim.
Jinu is wearing his own pants and shoes. His top in light lavender to co-ordinate with Teela is borrowed from Barbie’s ‘Suits Me Fine’ a 1999 club fashion (back when there was actually cool perks to the Barbie’s collector club), and his jacket is an action figure suit jacket from AliExpress.
I don’t think we have an episode discussion started yet. If we do, I apologize, and please, delete.
If not, here we go….just a few minutes to go…
