Long time CCG player here. I'm a little bit tired of the MtG system and how luck based and powercrept it feels sometimes. What is the most fun and complex system you know? I am interested in Sorcery, FaB and Digimon.
New player. The one I had and used my initial wildcards to craft was basically a combo deck with a Craterhoof finisher. Did any new list that uses her appear after the bans?
So, I was looking for a TCG to start the hobby, the reason is because digital CCGs are in a really bad spot nowadays. CCGs scratch both my desire of collecting things and the desire of playing card games.
I was looking into the best tcgs in the market rn and the ones that picked my interest were: FaB, Lorcana, Riftbound, Sorcery and Digimon. Eventually, I want to go play it in person, but for now I'm just playing MtGA.
The tools available look really incredible tbh, but they don't scratch my collecting itch since every card is available. Do you feel the same? How do you use these tools?
I'm thinking of starting the hobby but I'm very unfamiliar with the available tools.
So, I've been learning about MtG a lot the last week. As a new player, I'm trying to find a format that is more affordable. Some people recommended pioneer.
Standard attracts me more but people say that playing standard as ftp isn't a good idea. Is it possible tho?
I don't want to buy pre orders every new set (since like 6 are released per year), but what if I bought one once every two sets (3 per year), would I be able to play standard just fine? Should I use my wildcards for standard itself or should I save them for Pioneer? ty!
Hi! I'm a new MtG player. I started playing a few days ago but I've been playing CCGs for the last 15 years. I'm enjoying the game and considering buying the pre-order for the new set just to help me kickstart my collection.
I wouldn't mind buying a pre-order every 3 months or so, but apparently a new set releases almost every month? Do you buy pre-orders for every set? Are they just not worth it? Ty!
I've been playing PoE for the last 10 years. The last PoE 2 league was the first one I played properly. I must confess that I liked it so much that I barely felt like playing the new PoE 1 league. I'm watching some people play it and I feel like this sentiment of something missing is there for everyone. Am I imagining things?
I love digital ccgs, they are my favorite type of games. They scratch my competitive and collector itch.
Unfortunately, the competitive digital ones are in one of the worst states ever. I think I'm just gonna pick a tcg and go to some local meetings and play other people.
I like balance and fairness. I enjoy knowing that the best player won and that randomness wasn't a big factor deciding the win. I don't like spending a lot of money to play a single deck, I enjoy having multiple options of decks to play.

A few weeks ago I posted here about being 30 and deciding to learn to draw.
For now I'm doing the drawabox lessons. Although they seem pretty good to learn the basics, I miss actually trying to draw something.
Should I just stay strong and survive the first lesson (apparently I will draw more stuff after lesson 2 starts) or am I supposed to mix those lessons with others? Ty!
It's something I want to do for the next 30 years. Is there anyone here who started around that age and can share their progress? Or the names of a few artists who did?
A few questions about aphantasia too:
When I was a kid (8–11), I used to like to draw. I was really good at copying drawings, I could almost do a one-to-one reproduction of them. I even remember this one time when I was competing with a friend in school: we tried to copy a drawing of Vegeta. His drawing ended up kind of weird, with trembling lines and mistakes, but mine, when a friend saw it, he went, "Damn! His is the same".
Unfortunately, I have some difficulty generating images in my mind. If I think something like, "Let me imagine an apple", I can kind of see the apple, but it's fuzzy, like it's in a dark room. It's hard to imagine details. I rely more on my memory than my imagination.
Does this ability to copy something mean anything? Can I learn to draw well with this difficulty in imagining things?

Minha irmã vai se casar, terei que ir para a França em setembro. Não tenho planos de comprar nada para mim, em específico, então estou pensando em comprar minha quota em algum tipo de produto e revender aqui.
Parece que existe uma taxa de até 1500 reais em compras que não são taxadas, certo? Vou pesquisar isso direito.
Mas, tem alguém que faz isso com frequência? O que vocês trazem?
Both of them actually belong to my parents, and they live on a small farm. They're two mutts. One is that classic medium-sized caramel-colored dog, but fluffier, and he's my favorite. The other one is huge, white with black spots all over his body, very handsome. The problem with mutts is that you never know what's in that mix. The bigger one's head looks a bit like a pitbull, but his body is much larger.
The smaller one is 9 years old and the bigger one is 3. We got the bigger one as a puppy, and when he arrived, the other one was already here with two other female dogs his size. The smaller one's life was very peaceful, and everyone here loves him a lot. The other one is also very loved, the problem with him is that you can't do anything with him that he doesn't want to do. He really got huge. If you try to do something with him and he starts growling, it's hard to ignore.
My parents are not used to training dogs. They had dogs all their lives, always these mutts that run free in the farm.
When the bigger one grew up, he started acting strange toward the smaller one. The problem is that he doesn't just snarl, lunge, and back off, he attacks for real. He goes for the neck and absolutely does not let go.
My mother is crazy about the smaller one. When the bigger one attacked him for the first time, we were sure the smaller one was going to die. My mother loses all her strength in those moments and just cries. My father had to throw water in the bigger one's face to get him to release. He doesn't respond to shouts to stop.
The bigger one has attacked the smaller one about three times in the last two years. He spends months treating him really well, and then, out of nowhere, a violent attack. Since he gets beaten up badly every time it happens, as soon as he comes out of that attack trance, he lowers his head and slinks away slowly because he knows he did something wrong.
He has never acted aggressively toward a human being, he only behaves this way with other animals. He's never acted aggressively toward a female either.
I find him kind of unpredictable, to be honest; he doesn't bark before attacking, for example.
Honestly, if it were up to me, I think I would have already had him euthanized. It doesn't make sense to keep him locked up somewhere his whole life, and I'm afraid he might one day turn on a person. But my parents have the mindset of two 60-year-old adults who love their dogs and live in the countryside, that's never going to happen.
What would you guys do?
Os dois são dos meus pais, na verdade, e eles moram em uma chácara. São dois vira-latas. Um é aquele clássico caramelo de porte médio, só que mais peludo, e meu preferido. O outro é enorme, branco com pintas pretas pelo corpo, muito bonito. O problema de cachorros vira-latas é que a gente não sabe o que tem ali naquela mistura. A cabeça do maior parece um pouco de pitbull, mas ele tem o corpo bem maior.
O menor tem 9 anos e o maior tem 3. Esse maior nós pegamos filhote e quando ele chegou o outro já estava aqui com duas outras cachorras do tamanho dele. A vida do menor era bem tranquila e todo mundo ama bastante ele aqui. O outro também é muito amado, o problema com ele é que não dá para fazer nada com ele que ele não queira. Ele ficou enorme mesmo. Se você quer fazer algo com ele e ele começa a rosnar é difícil ignorar.
Quando ele cresceu começou a estranhar o outro menor. O problema é que ele não estranha de ranger, ir para cima, e depois sair, ele ataca para valer. Ele vai no pescoço e não solta de jeito nenhum.
Minha mãe é apaixonada pelo menor. Quando o maior atacou ele pela primeira vez, nós jurávamos que o menor ia acabar morrendo. Minha mãe perde a força na hora e só chora. Meu pai teve que jogar água na cara do maior para ele sair. Ele não ouve os gritos para parar.
O maior já atacou o menor umas três vezes nesses últimos dois anos. Ele passa meses tratando ele super bem, aí, do nada, um ataque violento. Como ele apanhou feio todas as vezes que aconteceu, assim que ele sai daquele transe de ataque ele já abaixa a cabeça e vai saindo devagarzinho porque sabe que fez algo errado.
Ele nunca estranhou um ser humano, só age assim com outros animais. Nunca estranhou uma fêmea também.
Acho ele meio imprevisível, para ser sincero; ele não late antes de atacar, por exemplo.
Sinceramente, se dependesse de mim, acho que já teria sacrificado. Não faz sentido manter ele preso em algum lugar a vida toda e tenho medo dele estranhar alguém um dia. Mas meus pais tem a mente de dois senhores de 60 anos que amam os cachorros e moram na roça, isso nunca vai acontecer.
O que vocês fariam?
Eu queria saber como vocês lidam com essa questão.
Nós odiamos a ideia da morte, odiamos o fato de que um dia morreremos. Por esse motivo, imaginamos um mundo perfeito onde ela não existirá. Mas, se nós pararmos para pensar mais sobre ela, a morte é parte fundamental do mundo em que vivemos. Sem a morte, esse mundo se destruiria, na verdade.
Se nenhuma planta morresse, elas lutariam por espaço até consumirem cada metro quadrado de solo disponível. Como ficaria a questão da disponibilidade de nutrientes no solo após alguns milênios? Parte desses nutrientes vêm justamente da morte de outras plantas e animais.
Se nenhum animal morresse, encheriam a Terra até cada fruta que nasce em uma floresta ter seu próprio dono. Mas e depois?
Ao invés disso, temos um sistema que depende da morte para existir: a planta e o animal que morrem se tornam nutrientes para novas plantas e animais. Existem seres especializados em transformar a morte em algo proveitoso: animais carniceiros, microrganismos decompositores, etc...
Se você parar para pensar mesmo, com o fim da morte, viria também o fim do mundo. A morte é um dos pilares do nosso mundo.
Mas, a bíblia parece claramente indicar que a morte é consequência do pecado humano:
>Por um só homem entrou o pecado NO MUNDO, e pelo pecado, a morte; assim também a morte passou a todos os homens.
>Romanos 5:12
Se a morte não é parte do design, como seria um mundo sem ela?

Algumas pessoas nos marcam de formas estranhas. Quando eu tive a minha primeira namorada, nós dois estávamos na igreja. Ficamos juntos por 4 anos e terminou pelos motivos óbvios que envolvem igreja e relacionamentos modernos. Terminei me sentindo muito culpado e tal. Culpa e namoro não são duas coisas que deveriam andar juntas, foi meio traumatizante. Nós éramos bem jovens, se eu tivesse a maturidade que tenho hoje teria conseguido lidar com tudo bem melhor.
Eu já lidava com depressão desde a adolescência, então, quando a gente terminou, a minha depressão ficou bem sinistra. Eu evitava bastante contato, por não querer ser o ex chato que fica indo atrás, mas quando a depressão pegava muito forte, eu acabava tentando saber como estavam as coisas. Ela sempre foi bem seca pós-término, me tratou bem mal. Apesar de estar mal, torcia por ela. A vida é curta e o mundo tenebroso demais para desejar infelicidade para os outros.
Tive outros relacionamentos, fui superando e minha depressão melhorou. Apesar disso, sempre tive uma sensação muito esquisita em relação a essa mulher. Sensação de uma ferida aberta estranha. Eu amava muito ela, então foi uma rejeição muito profunda.
Já fazem uns 8 anos e sempre que alguma notícia sobre ela chegava em mim eu ficava sabendo que ela ainda estava solteira. Ficou solteira uns 6 anos. Papo de pessoa da igreja procurando um par perfeito. Eu não acredito em pares perfeitos. Acredito em conexão e esforço.
Soube que ela já tá namorando há um ano e meio agora. Mas, estranhamente, ao invés de me sentir mal, eu me senti aliviado. Como se uma porta tivesse se fechado completamente e já não tivesse mais motivos para pensar nela. É como se eu sentisse que o ódio que ela demonstrou ter de mim já não pudesse mais fluir na minha direção e agora tivesse um novo dono.

Moro no interior de SP, mas estou viajando e vou continuar pelas próximas duas semanas. A amazon está tendo umas boas promoções e eu queria comprar uns livros. O problema é que queria que só entregassem daqui a duas semanas, mas se eu comprar agora a primeira tentativa vai ser feita na segunda, provavelmente. O site não mostra opções disso. Alguém já passou por isso e resolveu?
