Image 1 — Man, I love walking toward this stupid little thing. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile. It’s tiny, ridiculous, and completely unnecessary, and I’m obsessed with it.

Unexpected Bedtime Conversation With My 7 Year Old About Why He’s Here

One of my favorite parts of the day is putting my kids to bed. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 7 year old son.

Last night while getting my son ready for bed, like I often do, I started asking him questions about his day. But this time I changed it up and asked him something different. I asked him what he was before he came here.

He told me he was an alien from another planet and that he came here to love everyone in his life. Obviously, as a Law of One adherent, I was a little stunned. I asked him what he meant, and he said he came here to love everyone around him.

I told him I knew exactly what he meant and thanked him for coming here.

I never talk to him about LoO, aliens, or anything related to that subject. Pretty neat, and I figured I’d share it with you guys here.

From chasing success to practicing awareness

like a lot of us here, after spending most of my life attaching purpose and meaning to the things society and culture define as success, like money, family, social standing, I’ve realized those things left me feeling hollow and unfulfilled.

About five years ago, I started meditating and found that the only real constant in my life has been awareness. I know awareness isn’t something you can possess and hold. It was always there, open and unbiased. My practice has become more about loosening my identification with thought, fear, status, and self image.

Instead of trying to manufacture meaning, I’m learning to let it emerge naturally.

I also try to keep an eye on the ego so it doesn’t rebuild itself into some kind of “holier than thou” identity.

For those of you who’ve gone through something similar, what did the next stage of the journey look like for you? I know it’s not a race, but I wanted to share my experience and hear from others.

Thanks.

Just Finished Crimson Desert Story and Apparently I Was Saving My Elixirs for Crimson Desert 2

Any other Elixir hoarders out there? At this point Kliff isn’t an adventurer. He’s just a traveling Costco.

The best thing about Crimson Desert is how it raised the bar for other developers.

Crimson Desert set a new expectation for what modern RPGs should look and feel like. The vast exploration, cinematic combat, and MMO like single player addiction make other studios rethink how ambitious their games need to be.

That kind of pressure is good for players because competition usually leads to better games. I for one can’t wait how other devs respond.

Given that we are in an infinite journey of discovery, does anyone else ever do something kind of random, funny, or quirky and then immediately think, “I wonder if the Creator has ever experienced this before?”

Like in those small, oddly human moments where you surprise yourself, do you ever wonder if that’s something entirely new in the grand scheme and how cool it would be if it was?
