I also made a design sheet
I also made a design sheet
Also a design sheet
Also added some buildings and a vintage comic feel
The signature is just a cheeky joke, I would never presume I can even come close to my art being confused for John Romita's
I asked myself: What if... new movie... but comic? And this is the result
I made this a little while ago but I wanted a new profile picture so I repurposed it and also gave it a vintage comic vibe since it looks fitting. I don't know why I went for a star for the background
Does this armor have a model number or a nickname? Idk what it's called but it's got a great color scheme
I've been drawing and posting my stuff online since I was a teenager (I'm 25 now) and I've never known how to build a following or how to get my art to be seen by people. I have tried a couple platforms before; I posted on Facebook until Facebook itself got too invasive and I decided to delete my account, same with Twitter, I now post on Bluesky and here on Reddit. I've never had luck with getting big numbers—or any kind of numbers at all—on the previous three platforms mentioned, Reddit is the exception since I feel like I can get a decent number of upvotes here. On Facebook, Twitter and now Bluesky I hit a ceiling of single digit interactions, I also have ever gotten only two commission requests in my life and neither went anywhere since the person that asked "do you do commissions?" did not respond to the subsequent "yes" in both occasions.
I draw almost exclusively comic and video game stuff, which I understand is a niche and shrinking area of interest online as opposed to original characters, anime, what have you. I also am well aware that there is a limit to what I can draw that is not on the level with big artists I see on social media. However, I think I have enough skill to get at least some 20 likes on Bluesky, or pique someone's interest for a little commission, or something, but it's just not happening for me and it hasn't been happening for a long time.
I feel like I'm posting on the wrong platforms, but I always feel that way. I don't seem to find a place and a niche that benefits me. Maybe I've just been incredibly unlucky, maybe AI already does everything I can do but "better", I don't know. So I want to ask advice on platforms that might welcome art that's within my interests, or know how to find my niche in the platforms I already am in, or just know that someone else is also frustrated like me. Also thank you if you've read this whole thing.

On Facebook, Twitter and now Bluesky I hit a ceiling of single digit interactions, I also have ever gotten only two commission requests in my life and neither went anywhere since the person that asked "are you taking commission requests?" did not respond to the subsequent "yes" in both occasions.

I did a piece with a semi-though out design yesterday and I decided to flesh it out more (I also gave tony a classic pencil mustache, idk why he ended up looking so tired)
Both versions cause I couldn't decide which one I liked better. Happy 4th of July to all Americans
