51 working days since biometrics (8 June) Standard— anyone with a similar timeline received a decision?

Visa: UK Spouse Visa – Standard (Outside UK, Pakistan)
Application submitted: 03/06/2026
Biometrics: 08/06/2026
ECO email: 09/06/2026 – application being prepared for consideration
Generic UKVI processing email: 23/06/2026
Biometrics reminder email: 02/08/2026

It’s been 51 working days for us now and I’m starting to get impatient 😭 I know I’m probably being rash and just need to wait, but it’s getting hard not to overthink it.

We haven’t received a delay email or been asked for any additional documents, and our case is fairly straightforward. Has anyone with similar timelines, particularly around 8 June biometrics, received a decision recently?
Just trying to compare timelines and get an idea of where we might be in the process.

Early June standard applications, has anyone heard back yet?

Visa type: UK Spouse visa

Biometrics: 08/06/2026
ECO email: 09/06/2026

Bio reminder email: 2/08/2026

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone with a similar timeline to mine has heard back yet, or if you're still waiting?
I know it's still within the normal processing time and hasn't reached the 60WD mark yet, but I'm just curious where everyone else is at. I completed the application myself on behalf of my husband without using a solicitor, so I keep wondering if I've missed something. If UKVI needs additional documents, when do they usually ask for them?

Thank you!

Has anyone here had good experiences with homemade tarot decks? Discreet card deck.

Hi,

Please ignore the misspellings and horrible handwriting on the cards lol 😅 I rushed making them because I was too impatient and wanted to start testing them out straight away.

So I've made a post before, I live in a pretty strict religious household so I can't exactly buy a tarot deck without my parents or siblings noticing so I decided to end up making my own using 48 snap cards that I found. I a complete beginner to tarot so I originally made it as an oracle deck, but then changed it into more of a tarot deck using the classic Rider Waite system.

The only thing is, because they're snap cards they don't have any imagery, just the card names and keywords I've written on them and also only have 48 cards instead of the full 78, so I picked the ones I thought were the most important. So far I'm enjoying using it, but I keep wondering how I know if I'm getting an actual reading or if I'm just seeing what I want to see. I also have a habit of overthinking so when I do the overhand shuffle and a card doesn't fall out the way I want I add it back in to the deck.

I'm wondering should I stick with this deck, or would it be better remaking it on index cards and adding the artwork/symbolism? Also, what's the best way to learn how to interpret the cards properly and trust your readings? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Beginner to tarot: Making a discreet deck?

Hi,

I've been watching tarot for years but new to making my tarot and oracle cards. I live in a pretty strict religious household so I can't really own a normal tarot deck without my siblings seeing and I was wondering if it's possible to make my own tarot/oracle deck that's actually useful that I can use for everyday situations. I have no idea where to even start, I have seen some readers online make their own decks with cards that say things like "loves you," "long distance," etc with simple card and pen. Are those kinds of decks actually reliable and accurate?

If I do make my own deck, what's the best way to make it accurate and useful for everyday/personal readings for myself? I'd appreciate any advice please.

Thanks in advance.

UK Spouse Visa (Pakistan) – 6 weeks in, is this normal?

Visa type: UK Spouse visa
Standard (outside UK, Pakistan)
Application submitted: 03/06/2026
Biometrics: 08/06/2026
ECO email: 09/06/2026
Generic UKVI email (“still processing within published times”): 23/06/2026

Hi guys,

It's been just over 6 weeks since I applied on behalf of my husband, and apart from the standard emails we've not heard anything since, which I know is probably normal.
I completed the application myself without using a solicitor, so I keep wondering if I've missed something that could cause a refusal or delay. I've also seen a few posts from people applying from Pakistan saying they've been waiting 5+ months on the standard service, so I'm curious whether those tend to be more complex cases or if long waits can happen even when everything is straightforward?

I don't think our case is particularly complicated. We covered all the financial and accommodation requirements, and included plenty of relationship evidence (marriage certificate, wedding photos, my trips to Pakistan, WhatsApp messages, etc.) At this stage, is it normal not to have heard anything?

Also, if UKVI needs additional documents, is there usually a point in the process when they ask for them, or am I just overthinking it?

Thank you in advance.

Bulge under my chin/jawline area, need advice pls.

Excuse my eczema, my skin is currently flaring, but I’m trying to understand what’s causing this bulge under my chin/jaw area. My sister pointed it out yesterday and I have also noticed it a lot. I haven’t had any weight changes since the before photo, and the difference seems to be more around my lower face, jawline area rather than overall weight.

For context, I’m not wearing any makeup on my face or jawline area in either photo (only something on my lips), and these were taken in natural lighting. The bulge stays consistent from different angles and doesn’t disappear when I move my face. The first photo was taken before my eczema flares when I was still using topical steroids. The second photo is after going through TSW, where I’ve had active eczema and my skin has felt different.

I’ve also noticed my jawline looks less defined than it used to, and I’m wondering if this could be related to changes in the skin, inflammation, or something else.
I know it could just be a normal under-chin area, but it’s a noticeable change for me because I didn’t have this before. I’m not looking for a diagnosis, I’m just trying to understand what kind of change this could be and whether anyone has experienced something similar.

Would something like Botox help?

Thanks!

Any idea what these weird etched-looking lines are on cheeks?

Excuse the eczema on my face.

Mine are on both cheeks, mainly from in front of my ears down towards my jaw. They're not deep scars, but lots of tiny shallow lines grouped together, almost like little criss-cross/lightning bolt patterns, with a few longer lines. They look like they're etched into the skin and are most noticeable when my face is relaxed.

My skin feels completely normal, smooth, firm and not thin but makeup settles into the lines and makes them look worse. If I gently pinch or squeeze the skin, the lines disappear, then come straight back when I let go. I developed them after a really severe eczema/TSW flare back in 2021 and they've never gone away.

What is this called and how can I improve the look of these, thank you in advance.

Looking for a low-effort but effective hair growth products

Hi,

I'm looking for a hair growth product that's actually effective but also really easy to stay consistent with.
I keep seeing these four products recommended, but I'm happy to hear about other suggestions too if you think there's something better (especially if it's available in the UK).

I've tried Hair Syrup Rapunzel before, and I do think it helped with growth, but I found myself being inconsistent because it's an oil treatment that needs washing out. I know consistency is probably the biggest factor, but I just want something that fits into my routine more easily.
I've also tried The Ordinary multi peptide serum and have only started testing it out, it did make my hair greasy and a bit darker. I liked how quick and easy it was to use since it's just a leave-in serum.

Ideally, I'm after a leave-in treatment or something equally low maintenance that I can use daily without much effort.
Out of these four, which would you recommend? Or is there another product you've had better results with?

Thanks in advance.

Advice pls - is this fungus?

Hi,

Excuse the eczema on my feet!

I was hoping to get some advice on what this could be. This is what one of my toenails currently looks like (photo attached). The rest of my toenails are completely normal, it's only this toenail and one fingernail that's affected.

Around a year ago I had acrylic toenails and BIAB done on my fingernails and after removing them, this nail gradually became like this. It's thickened, yellowish, and seems to be lifting from the nail bed but doesn't hurt at all. The skin around and underneath the nail gets itchy and irritated, especially when it gets wet.

I'm new to nail care, so I'm not sure where to start or whether this looks more like damage from the acrylics or something else. Is there anything I can do at home to help it improve, and what's the best way to care for it while it grows out?

Thanks!

When do you think we'll start seeing early June standard approvals?

Visa type: UK Spouse visa
Standard (outside UK, Pakistan)
Application submitted: 3 June 2026
Biometrics: 8 June 2026
ECO email: 9 June 2026

Hi,

It's been just over a month since my husband's biometrics, and we haven't heard anything back yet, which I know is completely normal for a standard application. I've noticed we're seeing quite a few April standard approvals coming through now, so it got me wondering when people think we'll start seeing approvals for those with early June biometrics? I know nobody can say for certain, but based on the recent trend, what do you think.

I’ll admit I’m also slightly worried that I might have missed something when I put the application together. I completed it myself on behalf of my husband rather than using a solicitor, so I think that’s probably adding to my anxiety while we wait. Has anyone else felt the same?

Thanks in advance.

How to know if I've actually orgasmed?

I'm assuming what I'm describing is an orgasm but I'm not 100% sure. When I self pleasure I'm able to orgasm each and every time, and the best way to describe it as - sort of builds up fast then feels like an intense pressure to where my body kind of shakes or jerks and then a release. I can do this repeatedly and to me it comes easily.

I've also had 3 previous partners and was never able to orgasm once during sex but with my current partner I'm pretty certain I've orgasmed. It's the exact same feeling I get when I self pleasure, the pressure builds up then my body jerks and then comes relief. And with both self pleasuring and sex I have to wait a while until I'm able to orgasm again.

Is what I'm describing an orgasm?

Gift idea for baby boy?

I'm thinking of doing a hamper basket for my cousins baby but I'm not sure what types of gifts to include, I want them to be practical and last a while so I'm thinking of getting 6+ months even though he's 3 months.

I also want to keep it at a budget but at the same time bulk up the hamper, any ideas?

Thanks!

How effective is glycerin and jojoba oil for skin maintenance?

I have dry, sensitive skin and don't necessarily want to "repair" my skin I just want to maintain it. I have dryness and mild erythema and what to know if any one of these two ingredients have helped you and how to correctly use them?

Thank you!

What are your go to lubes?

Need lube recommendations (UK based) that are gentle and won't do more damage. The last time I had sex I teared so badly and bled because I didn't do enough prep which gave me a yeast infection and UTI.

I'm thinking of getting either Sliquid oceanics or Uberlube, which one is slippery and long lasting? Also if you have any tips on the best things to do to prevent tearing and painful sex, please share.

Thanks!

Best places to shop for 3 piece suits?

Repost because the last one wasn't worded correctly.

I'm planning to travel to Pakistan soon and need buy a few 3 piece suits for casual everyday wear as one suit in the UK is around £50. I'm looking for these type of styles, not too short or overly modern.

Please recommend trusted, high quality shops, malls, outlets and Instagram pages that you think are worth it. Thank you!

When are additional documents usually requested?

Visa type: UK Spouse visa
Standard (outside UK, Pakistan)
Application submitted: 3 June 2026
Biometrics: 8 June 2026
ECO email: 9 June 2026
Generic UKVI email (“still processing within published times”): 23 June 2026

This is a repost my last post got removed, so I reposted on the mega thread which got no interaction at all. I wanted to ask when additional documents are usually requested, if at all, for a UK standard spouse visa. Im aware that silence is normal at this stage, but I wanted to understand around which week people usually hear back if extra documents are needed.

Thanks.

Trying to figure out what interior style I like + how to recreate it in my bedroom!

I’m UK based and redoing my bedroom from scratch, so I'll be plastering walls, repainting and removing carpet to put in a new one. Before I start buying anything, I’m trying to work out what style/aesthetic I actually like because I feel like I am very picky (inspo pic provided).

I want a room that feels cosy, warm and inviting for rainy/quiet days in - similar to shows/movies like: The golden girls, 2 broke girls, uptown girls, grace & frankie, Miranda and Sabrina the teenage witch. I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct about the style or aesthetic I like so if you have any recommendations or suggestions I'm open to hear them. I'm also leaning towards a warm beige paint like Benjamin Moore Baby Fawn OC-15, Laura James ottoman bed and the Ikea hemnes 8 chest drawer.

What I like:

  1. Warm, beige-leaning neutrals (not grey or olive)
  2. Oval/rounded mirrors
  3. Wall lamps that hang down
  4. Warm white lighting
  5. A bedroom that feels intentional but lived in (not hotel/Airbnb vibes)

What I don't like:

  1. Overly modern or futuristic styles
  2. Dark wood or oak furniture
  3. Too much gold/brassy finishes
  4. Super minimal or showroom-looking rooms

Thanks in advance!
