The Blue Jackets, Blues, Hurricanes and Wild are turning to the NHL’s newly created centralized production arm for their local telecasts beginning in 2026-27 following the closure of the Main Street Sports Group-operated regional networks that previously carried their games. Additional teams could join before the start of the season, with the Ducks a potential candidate after informing local streaming partner Victory+ of their intent to terminate the relationship.

PSL credits could cost Charlotte FC $8.25M in ticket revenue

Charlotte FC expects to forego approximately $8.25M in season-ticket revenue over the next three MLS seasons by providing credits tied to around 15,000 seats following the club’s decision to end the sale of personal seat licenses (PSLs), according to Tepper Sports & Entertainment CRO Eric Sudol. The credits will compensate current season-ticket members for amounts they have paid toward PSLs, which will no longer be required to purchase season tickets.

Philadelphia setting the pace for FIFA Fan Festival attendance

Nearly 55,000 people visited the FIFA Fan Festival in Philadelphia on Friday, by far the highest single-day attendance figure for any of the 13 official public World Cup viewing spaces across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The record turnout coincided with the city hosting a group stage match between Brazil and Haiti that drew a sellout crowd of 68,324 at Lincoln Financial Field.

In addition to setting the single-day mark, Philadelphia’s Fan Festival is also leading the pack in terms of overall attendance.

U.S. Soccer’s business overhaul paying off in World Cup year

When U.S. Soccer and its counterparts in Canada and Mexico won the bid in 2018 to host the 2026 World Cup, the federation’s annual revenue was just more than $100 million and its annual deficit was close to $20 million. Heading into this World Cup on home soil, it approved a 2027 fiscal year budget that projects record revenue of $397 million and a surplus of nearly $10 million.

[SBJ] On Location: 500,000 hospitality packages ‘allocated’ for World Cup

On Location says it has “allocated” more than 500,000 individual hospitality packages for this summer’s FIFA World Cup, which is being held in 16 venues across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The firm said hospitality sales for the first 48-team World Cup have already surpassed all previous editions of the tournament, more than doubling the prior revenue record and exceeding the record number of packages sold.

“It’s the largest World Cup hospitality program in history, and larger than anything else we’ve ever done or anyone’s ever done in the world of hospitality,” On Location CEO Paul Caine said.

That’s not to say there aren’t more packages to sell.

On Location has not disclosed its current total hospitality inventory or what percentage has been allocated. But when the firm was selected in 2024 as FIFA’s official hospitality provider for the 2026 World Cup, then-CCO Scott Jernigan estimated the firm would be responsible for selling “up to 1 million” of the 6.7 million total seats available across the competition’s 104 matches. Based on that early projection, the more than 500,000 hospitality packages On Location says have been allocated would represent more than half of its maximum expected inventory.

[SBJ] Indie studio’s four-year USMNT bet culminates in HBO docuseries

The project has involved not only capturing footage of the national team during camps and events, but also spending time with more than a dozen prospective national team players while playing with their club teams around the world. In all, Pelayo said the production involved 300 shoot days in 12 countries, with stops in 67 cities and 37 live matches.

The scale of the project extended beyond filming to the acquisition of footage from dozens of rights holders, including FIFA, Concacaf and CONMEBOL, along with leagues around the world such as the Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A.

“In soccer, the rights are so fragmented -- it is hyper fragmented,” Pelayo said. “But a simpler version of this would’ve sold the players short. We don’t want to not give them their introduction because we couldn’t afford the rights on where they played at this tournament. So, it was very expensive, but we felt like it was a must-have.”

What happened to the OneNote Integration into Outlook Web Client?

Hi there. I've been using Outlook for a few years now for work and had really enjoyed the integration of my OneNote sticky notes into the Outlook web client. There was an icon in the top right of the screen that allowed me to access these notes as a sidebar. I logged on today, however, and noticed that the notes icon is no longer there. Is this a change made by Microsoft or just a setting I need to toggle back on? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
