Hi! Does anyone have any recommendations for books that help kinder age kids learn about social skills?

Things like making friends, sharing toys, playing what others want to play, boundaries, big feelings, navigating boredom, being okay with attention, speaking up for what is right, nervous feelings, anxiety when speaking, being on a team, not being bossy, not speaking about someones looks, etc.

Ideally, it would be great to find books about things that some would find "second nature" and "basic". We have a community for helping children who need extra guidance.

I try so hard to keep up with both but sometimes just fall flat.

Sometimes people without kids say the wildest things without realizing it. Yesterday i was talking about hip pain. One friend said it might be from being pregnant a few years ago. Another friend said "but you didnt push" hahaha yeahhh but i still carried a baby inside me for 9 months lol

My friend is visiting and wants to go to a bunch of different thrift and vintage stores, where would you recommend?

Omg i know this is a ridiculous question. Maybe I'm just super anxious about moving. But where do i stand or what do I do while they are here. I feel so weird just sitting while they're working but I am paying them $200 an hour. Should I be watching them load? Should I just chill on my phone out of the way?

Hi! We just moved back to Kent and Im looking for a weekend sitter / nanny for one 5 year old.

Looking for someone who can watch him on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am - 12pm. We'd like him going to the park to socialize with other kids, the library, and other play areas.

He is going to start school in the fall and I want him to practice listening to other adults that are not me.

Must have a drivers license. You can use your own car or our car.

We can bring him to your house or you can come to our house.

We will pay a fair hourly rate and reimburse for and miles driven in your own car.

Id prefer someone who speaks both english and Spanish.

If you have your own kids who will be with you, that is no problem and actually a plus.

Idk who needs to hear this but y'all are doing a good job. Sometimes you're doing too good of a job and need to take a chill pill lol.

Seriously tho try not to stress yourself out too much. You're all doing great just by trying. A majority if type ones grew up with no parental input and did fine. The fact youre out there trying is more than enough.

My unsolicited advice: make sure you don't make every little thing about diabetes. And make sure youre educated on what a glass child is if you have more than one kid, bc i know you think all your kids are important but make sure they see that in action.

Does anyone else have issues with jasmine rice? My carb ratio is pretty spot on most of the time. But when i have jasmine rice, no matter the dish, i always need a lot more insulin than normal.

Ive tried some other kinds of white rice and this seems specific to jasmine rice.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?
