Stumbled on a Pro-Choice Subreddit

I happened to be scrolling through Reddit and found myself on a pro-choice subreddit. I had never seen it before and was curious. I wish I could show this thread to the pro-choice people who say third trimester abortions just “don’t happen” or are reserved for sick babies or mothers. They absolutely do happen to healthy babies.

Read through this woman’s “reasoning” and it was pretty much she got pregnant at 19, living under her parent’s roof. Her parent’s are being supportive for the most part and allowing her to live there and raise the baby but her mom was being passive aggressive with her remarks. Boyfriend had cold feet at first but came around but she knew “it’s not what he wanted.” She said she regretted not getting an abortion in the first trimester. The other people in the thread encouraged her to still go get an abortion and just lie to her family/boyfriend. She’s 28 weeks. That baby could be born today and live a long, beautiful life. I am 22 weeks pregnant and feel my baby move and react to my touch everyday.

God please help us.

Redbull

I miss Redbull so much.

I had two things I had to quit when I got pregnant. Vaping & Redbull. Vaping was CAKE! I literally have 0 urge. I achingly, desperately crave an ice cold, crisp Coconut Redbull DAILY! It doesn’t help that the vending machine at work keeps those and several other flavors stocked. Coffee doesn’t cut it for me and most of the time just makes me feel sick and other sodas just don’t hit the same. I NEED that Redbull. It will absolutely be the first thing I have once this baby comes.

Anyway, that’s my rant for the day. Feels good to get that off my chest. I shall sit here for 2 1/2 more hours at my desk, fighting the urge to go and get a Redbull from the vending machine or just laying my head down and napping for the rest of the day….

Relocating a Garden Spider?

Hi! I have a beautiful garden spider who has set up camp in quite an inconvenient spot - my front door. I don’t mind her being here; in fact I would really like for her to hang around because I appreciate her pest control efforts. The problem is her web is attached to my front door so every time I need to open it, she gets disturbed and it stretches her web out. I’m afraid of her falling when I open it. I have a big plant on my porch with lots of sunlight directly next to one of my porch posts that I think would be a better spot for her. Is there a way for me to humanely move her without hurting her or pissing her off bad enough where she goes somewhere else?

Might be one and done

Hi everyone! Today I am 12 weeks pregnant.

I want to preface by saying that I am absolutely overjoyed to be pregnant, and I am amazed at my bodies ability to grow our daughter.

But I am having a hard time, mentally and physically. I have a doctor’s appointment and was going to talk to my doctor about the possibility of PND… I have never really struggled with mental health problems in the past but I am have at times overwhelming thoughts of sadness and that I am a burden to my family and husband. I also have intense food aversions and nausea. I embarrassingly threw my lunch up in the work parking lot the other day bc I could not make it to the toilet. I could not enjoy supper with my husband last night because of how badly his food disgusted me, and then I sobbed in the car over it. I have never felt so out of control of my emotions and body before!

It makes me feel guilty sometimes to think these things because me and my husband are truly so excited to welcome our baby girl and there have been a lot of things I have loved about pregnancy. Listening to her heartbeat on a doppler, ultrasounds, picking her name out. It has truly been lovely. But I am not sure how keen I am on doing this again. It makes me sad to think about not giving my daughter a sibling, because I am so close with my sister and same with my husband and his siblings. But truly, I couldn’t imagine feeling the way I feel most days while trying to care for my child. Some days I feel I can barely care for myself!

Anyway, that is my rant for the day. Pregnancy is hard so pat yourself on the back! We are all doing our best.

“Being Pregnant and Having Children Only Makes Me More Pro-Choice”

I see the above quote a lot and it makes me very sad.

I used to be pro-choice, even though I hate to admit that. I listened to what social media had to say before doing my own research and studying. But the thing that radically changed my opinion the most about abortion was when my sister got pregnant with my niece. I was 17…. And watching that life grow everyday in my sister’s belly was an indescribable feeling. I loved something before I even knew her. I will never forget going to a firework show for Independence Day when she was in her third trimester, and everytime a firework popped my niece would jump in my sister’s belly. It truly made me realize that IS A LIFE, a SOUL, that my sister was blessed to carry. Holding my niece for the first time after watching her grow those past 9 months through ultrasounds or feeling her kick was an absolutely indescribable feeling.

I am now pregnant, me and my husband are expecting our daughter this December, and we are over the moon. And I absolutely challenge the above quote. I thought I was on FIRE for being against abortion, but I am even more now… I didn’t even know that was possible. I am 10 weeks but seeing her grow at every ultrasound, hearing her heartbeat, and knowing that me and my husband were picked to be her parents, well it’s a feeling I can’t quite describe. And I have not had an easy pregnancy. I experienced some pretty intense cramping and bleeding in the beginning that prompted me to get ultrasound and blood work early. My bloodwork for the first two draws was not promising. I have been sick and exhausted as well. Although as of now the problems have resolved and as far and me, my husband, and doctors know she is growing healthy and right on track. But sometimes it makes me sad to think that even though I am so thankful to be pregnant, that I may not want to go through this for a second time. (As in me and my husband would not actively try for a second child like we did for this child.) but through every uncomfortable or less than ideal moment, she is MY DAUGHTER, and I’m so thankful and blessed that my body will provide a home for her for the next few months. I will never ever forget seeing her at my 8 weeks scan and seeing her heart flicker on that screen. It is truly an amazing feeling knowing my body is what sustains her body.

My question to the above quote, is how? How can you find out you’re pregnant, feel them grow day by day, see them on an ultrasound, hear their heartbeat, wonder what they will look like, and still continue to think “I support women killing their child!” Genuinely, it baffles my mind.

Anyway, that is my story for the day. Right now I am baking a cake for a Memorial Day picnic I’m going to later so while it cooks I would love to hear your stories or just your opinions on the quote. Have a great day!

Such disgusting behavior

This picture of a mug was posted on a girl dinner thread in here where a woman decided to tell her story of her killing her son’s sibling. Said she was open to a second child but her husband “wasn’t feeling it” so she aborted her “little blueberry”.

I will never understand how people can justify this selfish action. And the mug is disgusting. Pro-Aborts will probably think I’m dramatic for it. But women get abortions and suffer severe mental and physical complications. If they were truly pro-women, they would oppose this terrible act.

If her husband was truly “not feeling it” they would practice safe sex. I went 7 years successfully preventing a pregnancy, and I am now blessed to be pregnant with a daughter I cannot wait to welcome come December. Pregnancy has only radicalized me more!

Things to do in Hot Springs?

Didn’t know what else to put for flare….

This Sunday is my husband and I’s first wedding anniversary and I think we will be taking the road trip to Hot Springs for a small getaway! I haven’t been to Hot Springs since I was in high school… so I am looking for recs!

couple things -
I am pregnant, so unfortunately no hot springs/bath houses or wine tastings.

We are just staying the day so overnight accommodations aren’t necessary.
