About to build a WINCTRL A320 cockpit. Looking for advice before I buy.

Hello,

I'm about to order a WINCTRL A320 desktop cockpit. A few airline pilot friends and a few friends who aren't in the airlines yet are pitching in, so this will be a shared setup for practicing procedures and flows.

Current shopping list:

• URSA MINOR Right Sidestick

• URSA MINOR 32 Throttle + PAC

• Cyber Taurus Rudder Pedals

• 3XO Glareshield

• MCDU

• RMP

• TCAS/XPDR

• AGP

• ECAM

A few questions:

• What else are we missing?

• RTR Hobby pedestal or WINCTRL desk mounts?

• Wait for WINCTRL's overhead panel or buy another brand now?

• Anything from MOZA worth mixing into the setup?

• Which Airbus sidestick would you recommend today?

• Any must-have accessories or upgrades you'd recommend before we place the order?

Trying to build the best A320 desktop trainer possible. Thanks!

Bakit Ang Daming May Sayad at Saltik sa Pickleball? (Mega Thread)

Daemon and Rhaenyra just stormed themselves into the Red Keep with like zero backup, was this the dumbest shit ever or what?

Just finished the latest episode and I’m still thinking about how Daemon and Rhaenyra basically went straight into the Red Keep with almost no one backing them up inside, dragons were outside, sure, but still.

It was intense and looked awesome, but damn… walking into the throne room against the remaining Green guards and loyalists felt pretty damn reckless. What if the Gold Cloaks hadn’t turned at the exact right moment? Daemon clearly had history with them from back when he gave out the cloaks years ago, but it still seemed like a huge gamble.

Hi! Does anyone know a reliable FB page or supplier that makes high-quality 1:1 temporary plates?

Hi! Does anyone know a reliable FB page or supplier that makes high-quality 1:1 temporary plates?

I already have authorization from LTO to use a temporary plate while waiting for my official replacement plate, which will still take a while to arrive.

The reason I'm asking is that I've noticed a lot of temporary plates on the road that are obviously temporary because the font, spacing, or overall quality looks off. On the other hand, I've also seen some that look almost identical to the original LTO plates.

I'm looking for a supplier that produces those cleaner, more accurate 1:1 versions. If you've personally ordered from one, I'd appreciate your recommendations. Thanks!

First-time wedding planning. Ano ba talaga ang dapat i-look out for sa suppliers? (Crew meals, OOTF, contracts, etc.)

Hi r/WeddingsPhilippines!

Engaged na kami and we're planning our wedding soon, most likely sa Tagaytay. First time namin pareho kaya gusto ko lang sana makahingi ng advice sa mga nakapagpakasal na.

I've been reading this sub for weeks at napansin ko na paulit-ulit lumalabas yung topics about crew meals, OOTF, at kung anu-anong additional charges.

Where can I check the retail prices (SRP) of pickleball paddles in Vietnam?

Hi everyone!

I'll be visiting Vietnam soon, and I'm thinking of buying a pickleball paddle while I'm there. I'd like to plan ahead and compare prices before my trip.

Is there a website, online store, or retailer that lists the official retail prices (SRP) of paddles in Vietnam? I'm interested in brands like Joola, Selkirk, CRBN, Six Zero, Gearbox, and Proton, but any reliable source would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Public road inside an old gated subdivision has become an illegal parking lot. HOA and barangay keep passing the responsibility. What can residents do?

Our neighborhood was originally developed as a gated subdivision. It still has an HOA and private security funded by HOA dues, although maintenance has declined over the years. Not everyone pays dues, but the HOA still collects them and issues vehicle stickers.

One of the subdivision's main roads was later donated to the government and is now a public road open to through traffic. Because it's a public road, the barangay also has personnel assigned to the area.

The problem is illegal street parking. Residents without garages park there, non-residents leave their cars for days, there are abandoned vehicles, and many of the illegally parked vehicles are those used by barangay officials, councilors, and a congressman. There are even trucks parked along the road displaying the faces of the councilor and congressman. Ironically, many of the vehicles occupying the street don't even have HOA stickers.

The LGU tells us to coordinate with the HOA and the barangay. The HOA says it's now a public road and beyond their authority. When I asked the barangay about the HOA, the response was, "Naniningil pa pala sila ng dues? Matagal na ring walang botohan." It seems there's little to no coordination between them.

Occasionally, the LGU conducts towing operations, but people appear to be warned beforehand, so the vehicles are moved before towing and simply return afterward.

At this point, it feels like residents are stuck in the middle while everyone passes the responsibility to someone else.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Legally, who is actually responsible for enforcing no-parking rules on a public road inside a gated subdivision? If the agencies that are supposed to enforce the rules choose not to act, what options do residents actually have?

Picked up this 2014 RAV4 for cheap. What would you do with it?

Just picked up this 2014 RAV4 with 130,000 km (80,800 miles). I got it cheap because it had a minor front-end accident. So far I've replaced the damaged surplus headlight, had the body repaired, and got it polished to clean up most of the scratches. It came with black XXR 577s, and I'm still undecided whether to keep them, repaint them, thinking hyper silver or gunmetal, or just go back to OEM wheels. The rear shocks have already been replaced. At the engine, the radiator hose connector had apparently already “exploded” before, and it had been patched using epoxy or silicone. I’ve since replaced that with an original part. The dried coolant stains are still there from that incident. Does the wheel gap look too big to you guys, or is it just the wheels making it look that way? If this were your RAV4, what would you tackle next, both cosmetically and mechanically? Hoping this turns out to be a much better project than my old Subaru Forester SH, which was a money pit.

Pioneer AVH-A2150BT vs Teyes, Joying, Dasaita, DUDU, Eonon for a 2015 RAV4

I recently bought a 2015 Toyota RAV4, and someone offered me a Pioneer AVH-A2150BT for around US$200. While looking into it, I ended up going down the rabbit hole of Chinese Android head units.

I drive a BYD and a Tesla, so I'm used to large, bright, high-resolution displays. That's probably the biggest thing I'd miss in the RAV4. My actual use is pretty simple though: Spotify, podcasts, Google Maps/Waze, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, and a reverse camera. I don't watch videos or play games.

I've been reading a lot of posts on Reddit and XDA, and brands like Teyes CC3, Joying, Dasaita, Mekede/DUDU, and Eonon seem to have a pretty good reputation.

For those who've owned or used these, would you still go with the Pioneer, or would you pick one of the Chinese units? Which brand would you recommend today for reliability, screen quality, responsiveness, sound quality, firmware support, and long-term ownership?

General question about reporting drug pushers in the Philippines

Hypothetically, if someone has screenshots of a person openly selling marijuana buds and fake THC vape cartridges on social media, how useful are those screenshots to law enforcement? Would they be enough to start an investigation, or would authorities usually need to conduct surveillance or a buy-bust first?

Let's say someone is openly selling marijuana buds and fake THC vape cartridges on Messenger and Instagram, uses delivery riders to distribute them, and even sells to minors. That person has also been saying for years, "Kapag nahuli ako, ilalaglag ko lahat."

If that person is eventually arrested, does simply naming people who allegedly bought from them in the past have any legal effect by itself? Or would law enforcement still need independent evidence before those people could face charges?

If AI keeps getting better every year and billions keep flowing into it, "Ban AI" isn't a plan. What's your plan?

Nobody obsesses over AI mistakes more than people financially threatened by AI.

Genuine question for people who are strongly against "AI slop": What course did you take, what do you do for work, and how has AI personally affected you?

Did it actually reduce your income, cost you clients, make your skills less valuable, or are your concerns mostly about training data, privacy, water consumption, energy use, and environmental impact?

I'm genuinely curious because a lot of anti-AI arguments seem to come from very different places. Some people are worried about jobs. Some are worried about ethics. Some are worried about the environment. Some just don't like the output.

So what's the actual reason for you? Has AI directly affected your livelihood, or is your opposition mostly based on where you think the technology is heading?
