Is the security guard license exam hard? (Commissionaires)

Hi just wondering this is my first real job outside of university now and this field is new to me

I have to do a license exam and a course through basic security guard online course through comissionaries

I’m wondering how easy or hard it is and what kind of questions they ask. I’m nervous as hell when I take tests

Thanks!

Cons of selling some XEQT?

Hey guys

I live with my parents and I’m in my 20s

My dad is selling his car for 9k and he asked if I want it, since he’ll use 9k as down payment. The car is like 2016, backup camera, new tires and free winter tires. No maintenance issues. I also don’t need to look for dealerships or look for buyers or look on marketplace

I have all my money into TFSA with ETF and stocks. Most of my money is in XEQT

tbing is I HATE to sell XEQT but I feel like I can just work my ass off to reinvest into it.

I have 62k contribution limit so if I sell it I’ll still have tons of rooms since it’s still 9k. And I can do Uber Eats as well and drive to my friends place or go to vacations later down the road. I also have all my late 20s and 30s to get back into XEQT.

Is this fair?

Adding more info: I have basically no bills except some rent (for living with them). I think it’s a good deal but looking for opinion

How to deal with my own selfishness?

This is gonna be a really cringy post.

Is it normal for me, a 26 year old male, to still be clinging onto attention?

Ironically I’m majoring in psychology so I should know this but I’m a bit lost.

I used to be very clingy and possessive as a teenager and early 20s towards girls. Like I’d be really clingy with them and check if they respond or not and would make a big deal if they take awhile to respond. I was a huge mess.

Now I’ve made huge improvements and I don’t make it a big deal nor mention it much anymore, but sometimes it does bother me. Like if someone doesn’t talk to me much anymore as they used to and I do have some liking towards them romantically I do get bothered by it. However I don’t bring it up. But I miss the attention from it yk??

I honestly thought this feeling would go away as I mature and age but doesn’t like it has..

I’m not sure if this is related to childhood. I did get enough attention from both parents but my high school experience was horrible with girls. That’s all I can think of.

Any tips on yield signs and wobbly turns?

This is a problem of mines. Esp yield signs, for example i keep making bad judgments and assume every yield is for veichlee. I was driving and approaching a yield sign for pedestrian only yet I treated it as for cars so I was slowing down way too much and instructor told me to stop doing that. Then after stopping I had to turn on the curb island and I stopped completely despite having my own lane and I keep getting mad I’m making this mistake!

On another yield sign approach I was driving and I kept going way too slow on the turn. It frustrated me a lot.

My turns are usually good but sometimes I have wobbly turns and I’m not sure what even causes it maybe my anxiety or nervousness? Idk. But usually the turns are good but then I js sometimes make wobbly ones.

My merging and highway is generally good. My main issue is how I treat and approach yield signs and sometimes wobbly turns.

Plan to invest in most of these for 10+ years!!

I have very high hope for growth in nearly all of these stocks and ETFs.

I’m only looking for an exit for MU.

Baird raised AMD stock price target to 1,250 so I continue to invest in this and will look for an exit point as it approaches that number to get profit. Not only this but AMD had the LEAST hit during the big the past 2-3 weeks ish compared to all of the other semiconductors.

Kraken Robotics is very profitable and has high growth potential. Its target price has been raised to 13$ as its currently sitting at 6

MDA space has had successful past contracts and IMO it’s certainly undervalued compared to all other space stocks and ETFs. MDA is hardly mentioned. All I read about is UFO, SpaceX, etc

XEQT - The main core. Takes 65% of my portfolio.

VDY - the banks has been surging lately as well as energy. Canada has amazing energy sectors like CNQ and RY+TD + BMO has done exceptional.

QQC - heavy tilt to US tech.

GOOG - triple exposure which I’m completely fine with. QQC + XEQT all have GOOG but Google has so much revenue and extremely profitable there’s no way I wouldn’t get more exposure.

MU - for this I made a mistake and jumped on the FOMO. Now I’m down a hell of a lot. I had to share a lot to repurpose but I’m still down overall. I’ve been hearing constant “supply will not meet demand until 2027” so I’m eyeing on this for awhile without investing anything further to see if it’ll grow.

Yes it is heavily concentrated and tilted and that is on purpose!

Right now it’s red but I’m hoping it’ll do me well. I started investing last month!

Is triple exposure to GOOG a good idea?

Hey guys I’m really interested in GOOG as it’s dominating the tech sector and show no signs of losing it.

I own XEQT and QQC that has GOOG as their top holdings (2% vs 6% ish) respectively.

I want to see if owning the actual stock itself is a good idea.

Holding for over 20 years.

How’s life yall (24-27)

26 here turning 27. The girl I like isn’t going well, my stock portfolio has dropped, and I’ve been applying to full time jobs with nothing. At least I’m getting my full license. That’s the only thing I’m looking forwards to.

Kinda going down to shit.

I know this month hasn’t been great with AI and tech, but man this hurts to see. Hopefully the next few months is looking better.

NBIS vs MRVL

I’m really trying to decide which one. And I can’t really decide. Anyone here with insight on what to pick? Which is better for long run

Should I be worried?

I took 2 early summer courses. I already received my final marks for one of my courses. The other, complete silence. I got a 90% on an assignment and that mark also disappeared with 0/52, I know 100% I got a grade and feedback from it.

The final exam also didn’t get graded in brightspace.

I didn’t commit any academic offences so I’m not worried about that. I just don’t know what’s going on.

No response from prof when I emailed him.

It’s my first time taking summer classes so idk if this is normal. My exam was June 24.

Holding $3,378 USD

Buying a car soon so I need to stop using my savings. Can’t buy any more MU for a little bit (need to take care of other stuff). I’m also holding DRAM (1k USD) and XEQT. All my funds are in CAD but I converted the CAD to USD for the purpose of this post. I know this ain’t much but hopefully something!

Hopefully in August I see small gains then I can start adding more $$$$ to MU and my ETFS.

SEE YOU GUYS SOON. YOLO.

Keep investing in all of these or sell one of them?

I’m not sure if it’s worth keeping XCHP, MDA, or whatever else. Because I throw most of my money into MU, XEQT, and QQC. I have XCHP because of AMD and MRVL, as well as other stocks for AI.

But if I should keep all my investments and keep investing into them then I will. PNG has been down a lot but I heard there’s growth for the next decade so idk

u/OkMention5872 — 2 months ago

Is this a good buy still?

I’m seeing the stock go down. I bought 11 shares of MU costing 45$ CAD hedge.

I’m going to keep adding more soon. I’m wondering though if there will be good gains. I missed out on a fuck ton.

My portfolio and the plan (26M)

I have a thesis towards AI growth (semiconductors and memory chips) as well as overall tech and I believe it’ll grow in the future. I’ll explain why I have each and every holdings

I do understand there’s overlap and there’s heavy weight. It’s on purpose. And for USD amounts, I invest in small amounts (under 1k) eliminating the use of Norbert Gobert because the journaling price is about 9-10$ CAD and for under 1k the FX fee is around the same price.

XEQT - long term growth, saving for house or retirement funds. It covers like 77% of my portfolio

QQC - 100% in tech, similar to VFV but more risky, which I’m willing to take. QQC has outperformed S&P however the future is uncertain so it’s kind of a risk im taking

AMD - been going back and forth and from basic research I heard this is still huge growth potential. NVDA seems slow atm so decided to take AMD. If I make major profits all of that will be reallocated to XEQT

MU - AI memory, heard really good things about it. Even this stock potentially reaching 2k in a year or more so there’s heavy growth still. If things go according to plan ALL funds will be reallocated to XEQT.

VDY - this is just dividend etf but there’s some growth. Canadian banks have been doing really well and it has stocks like CNQ (energy stock) in there which I like.

MDA/PNG - just small stocks with growth potential. MDA is Canada Space and PNG is Kraken robotics for things like underwater drones and marine warfare tech in a nutshell

XCHP - holds MU, AMD, NVDA, MRWL, etc Now for this I’m just duplicating what I have above. I’m just playing around with this. I think holding individual stocks will be better in terms of high returns on them individually than holding all stocks at once. But again, I’m still playing around.

Your thoughts?
