Family issues

Is it difficult to - for lack of a less harsh term - cut a family member out of your life? My brother abused me as a kid and it didn't really dawn on me that what he did and said wasn't normal until a few months ago. Even now he doesn't take me seriously and constantly makes jokes, cruel ones at my expense. I also realised that if I met him and he wasn't a family member I wouldn't like him at all. Is it hard to keep someone away when I've repeatedly tried drawing boundaries he doesn't respect? I'm in therapy at the moment and I'm realising our adult relationship is extremely mentally damaging

Family therapy

My therapist suggested a family session - childhood issues, abuse etc - but I mentioned it to my brother and he said he didn't know what was wrong with me but it had nothing to do with him, also that I was lying. What now? To me that says there probably should be a family session but I know he wouldn't go

Doctors

I'm going to be moving up to Newcastle from Yorkshire in a few months and I have epilepsy so need a decent GP, is it a struggle to get registered for one/is it even possible at the minute?

Long term side effects

Do you ever think about the long term - as in decades - effects that the medication/treatment could have? I look at the size of one of my tablets, one which I've been on 25 years, and it's tiny. I just think jesus this is so strong what the hell is it doing to my brain? I take nine tablets a day (including sertraline and some hormone imbalance for PCOS) and worry sometimes that they could do damage long term. I know everyone is different but I do get stressed about it sometimes
