Carnivero in Texas looks like they literally have thousands of crosses. Some aren’t even grown out yet to know what the mature pitchers look like! What are some of your favorite ones with ID. Mine is truncata (d) X Harryana CAR-0711.

Without a fancy setup and only a windowsill or plain grow light, highland nepenthes can grow happily. I know that when they are small, temperature is not much of a problem; it is when they start to get large that they will decline. Would a HAMATA actually be fine or is it too highland for regular indoor temperatures. EDIT: 70-77 degrees big window sill about 4-6 hours of direct sun

N. Sanguinea is hanging more than a foot down from a branch with a somewhat moist media maybe suggesting that it’s using that spot to cool off specifically instead of anywhere else in the heat.
Obviously, it’s never ending but is it complete? Do you have every nepenthes you’d like. Are you missing a specific one, maybe you’re missing a tubby one or toothy type? If not is it a specific clone(s) that you are after? Is it the iconic Hamata? Maybe it hasn’t been discovered yet.
I’d like to have it but for me the last nepenthes I’d want would be the common pure ampullaria , just can’t decide which type to get so many clones for their colors.

Generic 50/50 perlite and peat when I started. First heavy rainstorm and it looked like it snowed, decided I would do a 50/50 with pumice but then I saw people doing nothing but peat. Any special thing with peat you have to do or can I just straight peat it when the time comes. I’ve always been told they need oxygen down there or they will rot.
I have a friend who would like to get into carnivorous plants but says most plants are toxic to cats. Nepenthes, pinguiculas, vft and drosera is what I have extra of to give her any of these toxic? Not worried about the cat tearing it up

It’s from predatory plants, this is a more mature one I texted botanichalls store front off ebay and they suggested that the photo might be edited to really bring out the variation but it should have the red specked traits when it matures however I wonder if it will “self destruct” like with the other pink plant hype a few years ago from a virus that didn’t kill it until a mature size. After all predatory plants says they are not sure how large it gets on their website last time I checked. Will you be grabbing one the second it shows up or wait a bit maybe the price will drop after demand. The second photo is from botanichalls_storefront they sent me

If you want something toothy you look at hamata. If you want something large truncata and then hybrids of either or for the strong growth rate and best of both worlds but at what point does it become useless? It’s not like a plant can all of a sudden grow 3x its parentage can because it’s a crazy hybrid right? Or the traits you desire from the parents have to be lost over all the genetics. What’s the point of it, and the price seems to get crazy when it ends up being highland ones

Drosera Hercules Cutting but when do you transfer it out of the water and into what? I only know leaf propagation into soil but these are growing from the big root. Any steps from here till end they are growing under a grow light n

I didn’t get no pots so obviously no soil. Came bare root wrapped in sphagnum moss and luckily, I had leftover pots just enough and sphagnum moss purchased today for their mystery tissue culture flash in preparation. Growing instructions on website.
Might be because I did email to get this added to my original invoice that was preparing to ship over the weekend however, I have also bought un potted nepenthes just to arrive potted with previous purchases so it’s random to my knowledge.
Size was unexpectedly amazing since they say XS will be shipped as XS but whatever is in stock is up to their discretion.
Only upsetting part was I already own a CK X Candy but cmon it barley phased me i’m happy about this. Anyways that’s the breakdown.
