Dude wasn't our best goalkeeper, but in the span of half a season, he:

* Lost out the main GK title to Safonov (who to be fair excels at what he does)

* Got injured bad enough to miss the remainder the season.

* Couldn't make the squad to the World Cup

We give Chevalier a hard time, but never stop to think about his own hard times.

Unfortunately for Garfield, SOMEONE has to be a vessel for Jon's frustrations.
