M40 5-10 195lbs - summer progress

I have increased my anaerobic training over the last 6 weeks. Getting ready for HYROX Toronto in October. The goal is to hang on to muscle mass and increase VO2 max. Lots of extra running and extra food.

I have been maintaining for 12 months. Thinking of a mini bulk to bring up the upper chest, lats, and arms.

M40 190lbs 5'10 - looking for feedback.

Been lifting for years. Recently discovered HYROX and have been increasing my cardio while trying to maintain my muscle mass. I am enjoying the process and think my physique does too.

5 years. No shortcuts. Just consistency.

At 35, I was about 35 lbs heavier than I am now. I had spent years building a family and a business, and somewhere along the way my health became an afterthought.

I wasn't lazy—I was just prioritizing everything except myself.

At 40, I'm in the best shape of my life.

This didn't happen because of some secret program, magic supplement, or perfect genetics. It came from stacking ordinary days:

Training even when motivation wasn't there.

Eating well most of the time instead of chasing perfection.

Sleeping more.

Drinking less.

Showing up again the next day.

The biggest lesson I've learned is that fitness isn't about finding the perfect 12-week plan. It's about becoming the kind of person who doesn't quit.

If you're in your 30s or 40s and think you've missed your chance, you haven't.

Five years from now is coming either way.

You can spend it wishing you started today... or looking back grateful that you did.

M40 years old. 190lbs - Physique critique. How am I stacking up against younger lifters?

Recent front and back photos.

Not fishing for compliments—looking for an objective critique.

I'd especially like feedback on:

Overall symmetry

V-taper

Arm development

Chest development

Back thickness vs width

Areas that look underdeveloped

If you saw this physique in your gym, what would be the first thing you'd tell me to improve?

Some oldies from my 2006 season BC and Alberta.

I'm a retired tree planter. Just going through some old pictures and reminiscing. Some of the best days were on the block.

Cheers to all you out there planting.
