I’m 23 and have lived in Toronto my whole life, but will be relocating to Chicago next summer to start law school so I’ll be there a while, possibly longer if I enjoy it.

Im very much the type of person who needs to be in a buzzing atmosphere with things constantly going on, lots of foot traffic and events, and good public transportation. I love Toronto in that it feels massive, has an insanely diverse population with constant things to do (at least in the downtown core)

I constantly read that Chicago is Toronto’s sister city as they have a very similar population and vibe. I’m just hoping to get some insight into how they compare to each other? Maybe some points on what one of the cities does better or worse than the other? I greatly appreciate it

Apologize if this is an easily answerable question but just wanted to get some insight . I’m Canadian and will be living with a family member in Midtown Manhattan next summer for the next 3 years to attend Pace law school in White Plains. Being able to live rent free is a massive bonus for me so it’s not really in the cards to find something closer to the law school. Just curious if this is a common commuter route, and with how little ease? I greatly appreciate any insight as I’ve only been to NYC once in my life and am unfamiliar with the layout and commute times.

I usually hear about Kabul when it comes to party hostels in BCN but I’ve heard a few things that has me considering staying at one of the OneFam locations. Firstly, I heard it’s mostly 18-21 year olds. I’m 23 so I guess I’m not far out of this range but I would appreciate an abundance of people my age or a bit older. Secondly, I heard it’s basically all guys at this hostel? Making some new mates is obviously something I’d like but I don’t want an entire sausage fest lol.

Are any of the OneFam locations good for partying and socializing or should I just go with Kabul?

Which of the itineraries would you pick personally? I’ll be flying in from Barcelona so flights are very cheap regardless . I’m 23M and will be doing this alone hoping to stay in hostels and meet people. I love street art, people watching, and a lively nightlife scene (doesn’t have to be clubbing per se but atleast people out and about at late hours) .

I’ve never been outside EU/ North America so these cities look incredible to me . I think Marrakech looks better than Tangier but I’ve heard people just treat you like a walking dollar sign and that the entire city is catered towards tourists. Obviously I am a tourist, but I’d still love some form of authenticity and to be in areas where locals are abundant.

Hey everyone. I know Belgrade is known for its party scene but I have heard in the summer months the scene feels dead because people in the city are on vacation to the seaside? It may be early to even ask this, but next July I am planning a solo trip to Belgrade from Canada and hope to get a good feel for the nightlife . Im hoping (weather aside) this isn't a bad month to come for this? I appreciate any input I can get :)

Early next July I am planning on visiting one of these two cities , and being a guy in my early 20’s i’m prioritizing nightlife.

I heard Belgrade is a party city but I saw a video on TikTok of a guy saying Belgrade’s nightlife in July sucks because all the serbs travel elsewhere . Wondering which of the two you preferred?

I know there’s a lot listed here so if anyone has even been to just one of these places and has recommendations would love to hear!

I’ll be 23 shortly and have never felt more lost in life. I can’t help but feel like I’m extremely behind and just not utilizing my years well. I’m stuck working retail after graduating college last year until I apply to law schools, I’m living with my parents which I have a not-so-great relationship with, I have pretty poor mental health and find myself not doing the things I keep telling myself I will (gym, healthy eating, saving) I’m stuck in the loop of comparing myself to others etc. I just would love any sort of advice from guys with a bit more experience than me in life on what they wish they’d done or known at 23

I’ll spare all the details but I’m doing a trip late June of next year and want to pick a city in Italy I haven’t been too. Have already been to Rome, Milan, and Florence . I’m leaning towards Naples since I heard there’s not a ton to do in Venice but wanting some opinions .

If it helps you pick: I’m 22M from Canada, really into good food, street art, a lively night culture whether it be clubbing or just seeing the streets lively .

I’ve heard continuous bad things about Naples, including from my coworker who just got back (but I’m from a small country-ish town so I’m not sure if it’s just extreme culture shock) but it looks very grunge and cool. As well it has great access to Positano which I’d love to make a day trip out of to see the Amalfi coast. On the other hand, I’ve heard Venice can be quite charming but it’s very small and I’m afraid I’ll get bored

I will be attending a nyc law school next summer (deferred my offer) but am at absolute loss on how I can even make this happen as a 23yo.

I know I will need multiple roommates but being that I’m Canadian, I don’t have US credit history, won’t have a job while I’m in school etc. I could care less how far out I live from manhattan (within reason ofc) but just seeking some guidance on how and where I should look, and whether I even have a chance at landlords considering me .

Not interested in BL or anything but want to end up in NYC. Assuming the Newark campus, how good of an option would it be?

Basically I’m planning my itinerary for a big Europe trip I’m taking. I’ve been to both Paris and Madrid somewhat recently , and although my trip is prioritizing places I haven’t seen, I wanted to go back to just one of them.i
spent 4 days in each place if that helps.

What I loved about Madrid was the nightlife and social vibe. Had very fun nights out, and being that I’m younger, this is a big priority for me. Not to mention the food was amazing. That being said, I feel like I saw majority of the tourist stuff and don’t exactly know what I’d be looking forward too aside from the social vibe

For Paris I’d say it was a bit of a lacklustre experience. It rained everyday I was there in May and I was with an ex girlfriend who kinda made everything about her. I didn’t even see the arc d’triomphe lol. I found Paris to be very dull in terms of nightlife though and I really want to make sure I have options .

Not sure if this question is entirely appropriate for this sub but I do find myself very lost and often confused with the whole “adulting” thing, and what to prioritize .

So I am starting law school next August and have recently really been considering taking a 1-2 month backpacking trip across Europe before I start . I graduated university last year and have been working full time at two retail jobs so not making crazy money but enough that I have some temporary financial freedom (I’m not being charged rent and have minimal bills) . I live three blocks from both my jobs so I haven’t had the need for a car , but I will be attending school in a college town that is somewhat far from bigger cities where I will be looking for internships/post-grad offers.

Despite staying in hostels, this trip is going to cost quite a lot of money . I’m kind of in the situation where it’s either take and save for the trip or don’t go on the trip, and buy a car / have money for gas, insurance etc. Used cars that aren’t going to constantly breakdown on me have proven to be quite expensive, and with the amount I need to save for tuition, moving expenses etc. it’s truly a one or the other situation.

I would love to take this trip before my life gets a whole lot more stressful, and I have a lot less money periodically. On the other hand, every adult in my life has told me that not getting a car is just immature and delaying life responsibilities, and that there’s no need for me to be travelling this intensively at my age when I barely have anything to show for it. Additionally, I am single and would love to get out there in the dating world but not having a car is probably going to come off as I don’t have my shit together.

Next August I’ll be starting a very difficult and time sucking 3 year graduate program that should lead to a well paying job. I have been working full time for just over a year now and plan to do it one more year to hoard as much $$ possible. Im 23 if that adds anything to your judgement.

I’m currently planning a one month trip of a lifetime right before I start said program that I would be beyond excited to take. Would be staying in hostels for the first time, going to cities I’ve always dreamed of etc . However this trip will be pretty costly. When I’m in school I will probably be lacking in the financial department because my program doesn’t allow students to work during the school year , only summer internships.

I don’t own a car because I live in a pretty big city, but I’ll be moving to go to school in a college town . There’s bus access but the college town is pretty spread out and I’ll be much more limited than my peers in terms of everyday life errands and commitments .

Because I’m only working retail jobs it’s basically a pick one or the other situation. If I save for a car that’s actually reliable, I’m not going to be able to put away money for this trip, but if I take the trip, there’s no way I’m going to be able to pay for insurance, gas, the actual car itself etc.

I could possibly put away $$ from internships I get to save for a car afterwards but majority of people in my life think it’s beyond stupid to prioritize the trip over getting a car. I’m really really wanting to take the trip though because I’m in for a stressful and tiring three years and beyond , as well will be pretty limited with time I can take off early in my career

I’ve been fortunate enough to have gone to a couple bigger European cities recently (Paris, Rome, Madrid) but aside from that I’ve never left North America. Next June I am planning on doing a full month away before I start grad school . I would love some feedback on whether or not this route makes sense and if the amount of days I’m allocating for each city is fair .

- fly Lisbon to Barcelona (5 nights)
- train from Barcelona to Valencia (4 nights)
- fly Valencia to Milan (3 nights)
-fly Milan to Prague (4 nights)
- train Prague to Budapest (4 nights)

I’m debating adding one more destination but I’m torn . Naples seems like a fun vibe , even Belgrade?

Hey everyone. Going to be starting law school at WVU in a couple weeks and am getting everything ready for the move from North Toronto . I’m 23 and never owned a car because the public transportation where I’m at is very efficient and my workplace was maybe a 10 minute walk from my house.

I know the majority of people who live in Morgantown use a car (including students) but, financially, it’s just not feasible for me with the expenses of moving to a new country (albeit not crazy far), law school expenses etc. I’m from a single parent household where my mother cannot help me out a ton financially so unfortunately I just won’t have a car atleast for the first year or two of school.

Just wondering if it’s even possible for me to get around? My apartment is fairly close to the law school so im not crazy worried about that aspect, I’m more so stressing about the social aspect of not having transportation, getting groceries, going out etc.

Would love any advice/feedback about how I can go about this. I greatly appreciate it

I know these cities differ quite a bit but I’m conflicted. Basically I’m doing two ish months in Europe next summer and based on my itinerary I’m doing Belgrade for 4 days as a stop . I’m big into nightlife, architecture etc. which is why I added Belgrade, but early in my itinerary I’m doing Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia. I’ve really been thinking about getting rid of Belgrade and having those open days for Sevilla as it’s breathtaking and I’d love to be able to get a feel for different areas of Spain . Just curious to hear your opinions, especially if you’ve been to any of these!

Anyone care to compare these two if I am looking for a party/social oriented hostel ? Really appreciate it

Unfortunately I can no longer go to edc and looking to get rid of my ticket but I’m Canadian so I’m not sure how I can do this considering we don’t have the transfer apps Americans have and since I don’t have my physical wristband (I’d have to pick it up a few days before the festival) . Just looking for insight!

Hey guys, first off I greatly appreciate any feedback/advice I can get. Next summer I am planning a 2 month solo Europe trip and have brainstormed a rough itinerary

To a lot of you I think this will be perceived as way too much or just too much city, which I understand but as a 23yo guy there is a few things I am prioritizing.. nightlife/social scene, cities with a lot to do, and architecture (I’m a big arc geek).

In the following order I have :
- Lisbon (6 nights)
This includes a day trip to Sintra or somewhere else. I have yet to fully research the areas surrounding the city

- Barcelona (7 nights)

Madrid (3 nights)
I have already been to Madrid recently and absolutely loved it but felt there was only a couple things I missed out on. More so just going back because I loved the nightlife and hostel scene

Napoli ( 6 nights)
I’m assuming people are going to say this is too much time but I’m planning on doing a day trip or two to the Amalfi coast

Athens (4 nights)

Amsterdam (4 nights)
a lot of people say they either love Amsterdam or find it very overrated . Because it’s so expensive I kinda wanna minimize my time here without missing a lot

Paris (5 nights)
have been here but was very rushed last time

Prague (4 nights)
not sure if this is too much? Have heard it’s a very small city

Budapest (3 nights)
not sure if this is too little time or perfectly rated?

Bucharest (4 nights)
this is the city I probably know the least about so I’m not sure if I’m spending too much time here?

Istanbul (5 nights)

Again, I’m anticipating people aren’t going to love the way I’m going about this but I’m someone who cannot stay in the same place for long without getting bored and at this stage in my life I’m very city oriented so please keep that in mind!
