Review Citizen Series 8

Citizen introduced the Series 8 in 2008 for the Japanese market, and it was not launched globally until later, in 2021.

The Series 8 is one of Citizenโ€™s most refined mechanical collections, featuring distinctive case shapes, detailed dial finishing, and a strong presence on the wrist. The number โ€œ8โ€ was chosen as a symbol of the infinite (โˆž) possibilities of Citizenโ€™s craftsmanship.

It is powered by the in house manufactured Caliber 9051. The movement is resistant to magnetic fields up to 16,000 A/m, making it much less susceptible to smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other everyday electronics. That is a major advantage over many standard automatic movements.

The H-link bracelet is beautifully finished and extremely comfortable on the wrist. The new clasp is very well executed. I find it to be very accurate, and in my opinion, it is one of the best watches you can get for under โ‚ฌ1000.

Seikoโ€™s Super Clear Coating is something they could apply to many more watches, in my opinion. No photo can really do it justice! From certain angles, you genuinely get the impression that there is no glass on the watch at all. Impressive! [SBTM323]

Review: Thorn SHY036 Titanium 39mm Diver Watch

After wearing the Thorn for a few days, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by its lightweight 93 gram titanium construction.

The watch is very well finished, with no sharp edges or rough spots anywhere.

The new tool free bracelet adjustment system is impressive! The outer links feature a spring-loaded mechanism that allows you to remove or add links with ease. It's incredibly simple anyone can do it.

The ceramic bezel has a satisfying unidirectional click action. My only minor criticism is that there is a slight amount of play when you try to move it in the opposite direction. It doesn't bother me personally, but it's worth mentioning.

I would have loved to see an on-the-fly (OTF) adjustable clasp, but with four micro-adjustment positions, you'll have no trouble achieving a comfortable fit.

And just look at Thorn's lume it's phenomenal ๐Ÿคฉ

Even after spending a long time in the dark, it remains bright and highly legible.
