I own thousands of records and this is the first time I’ve ever seen printing on a transparent and label free vinyl.
This LP sounds absolutely fantastic. The band is excellent, the highs are punchy and the bass is deep.
Some of it reminds me of late 70s soundtrack music as might be found on Cinemaphonic Electro Soul and Cinemaphonic Vol 2: Soul Punch.
And I thought his first album was great! This is really an enjoyable spin. Can’t wait to see where he goes next.
It was oddly refreshing how much it didn’t sound like KGLW due to the lack of the other band members’ DNA.
These guys put out a bunch of records and they’re all pretty great. They seem to fly underneath the radar unfortunately. Hopes you like it.
This is the first for me… 10 years of tracking Woodring items and I’ve never seen an official T-shirt for sale. There was one he did for the site Boing Boing, but I’ve only ever seen an archival photo of that.

QUACKY
On August 11 Fantagraphics Books will release QUACKY, a long-form Frank adventure in the Big Little Book format; small (3.5" x 4"), thick (1.25"), with text on the left hand pages and drawings on the right.
ig Little Books were known for their beautiful covers and lackluster guts. The interior drawings were usually cobbled together by uninspired hired hands, and the text seldom rose to the level of mediocre children's literature. Your Uncle Jim has made every effort to preserve the traditional dumbness of the original BLBs while crafting the text and drawings to be as meaningful and rewarding as possible.
As The Library Journal said in its starred preview of QUACKY, "The addition of prose to Woodring’s typically wordless Frank stories grants his wide-eyed protagonist a more explicit interior life; by naming rather than enacting Frank’s impressions of his friends and neighbors and his reactions to the world around him, Woodring offers a new angle on characters and themes that have animated his work for decades". That sounds about right to me.
Included at no additional cost is a story by Slim Davenport, starring Cunningham, The Clever Pig Who Helps All His Friends: Hoggy Goes Hogwild. Even in this day and age the cartoon pig is an underutilized resource, and this charming, disturbing tale of innocence amplified could help explain why that is.

As an alternative to Kickstarter, Patreon or other online means of donated financial support, on April 15 2026 I will post 40 works of original art for sale in the ONE OF A KIND section of my online store. Works will range from pencil sketches to pen sketches to pen and ink drawings to signed and drawn-in books to rare prints to oddities. Prices will range from $50 to $15,000.
