Not sure if any of you all were watching this, but after getting my highest bid completely trampled, I continued to watch this rise to $800 USD.

I’ve had “Jim Woodring Big Egypt frog vinyl toy“ on my eBay watchlist for about 4 years.

Every now and again something triggered it, of course. But for the first time ever last week, it was the real thing …and for a few brief moments, I thought I could actually obtain it.

If money were no object, it would be here now. I present to you the images from that sale.

I grabbed every Cramps photograph that I could from this excellent exhibit. I went on the final week. Picked up a great book called “Punk and Disorderly: Acting Out Gender and Class in First-Wave British Punk” by Karen Fournier.

Seeing as Industrial was the topic on seethingsunday, I remembered that I was watching a video on [correction] Throbbing Gristle and the creator used this photo to exemplify some of their performance art. I did a second glance and then another and then said, “Siouxsie!” She’s everywhere! Debbie Juvenile is the blonde beside her.

This to me is the “lost” album of Altin Gün. Bandcamp only with proceeds to the Red Cross for earthquake relief). I had missed this when it was released as I was focusing on their vinyl releases.

Many of us did not receive the “Willy Wonka Golden Ticket” of A Little Big Book called Furioso.

I did write to Fantagraphics…and since they are also dealing with the “site clone fraud” issue, I suggest we DON’T all write them about this little book. 📕

Without revealing anything, they said they are working on “something to satisfy demand”… so let’s let them work with Jim.

Sadly, I was unable to attend any night of this event and I’m really looking forward to seeing more videos of it.

Is anyone interested in seeing all 56 (unnumbered) pages of this program? I will happily photograph them and add them across…say…four different posts.

I paid an absurd amount for the first copy that appeared on eBay, assuming that nothing else might come my way for awhile...and nothing has so far…unless someone has snatched them up rapidly. If you’re reading this, maybe you sold it to me: thank you!

I was doing some deep digging and organizing, and I found this! I am one of the performers on the list, but I will hide my identity for now. How cool that DATA BANK-A is the first one on the list though! I may have to post this in the industrial sub too.

I remember so many of these bands and these people so well. In the bottom left, it says “in case of rain the event will be canceled”… The event WAS canceled halfway through before I could perform. I was really looking forward to it as it was going to be the largest crowd I had ever performed for.

It was a very hot and humid day. We had all been in the sun all day and then slowly the clouds came in and once it started raining hard on us, the crowd went across the street to the ice cream shop and you could see steam rising off of everyone.

As a Negroni aficionado (because of Tony), I can say with certainty that I can make a better, fresh Negroni. But in a pinch this is OK. (I may or may not have released a decidedly un-masculine squeal when I discovered these.)

This should be appropriately blurred. Now we know why they called this version the EMG version.

Mal commenting on videos in 1986 from A Collection of Interviews 1977-1994.

After years of searching, I have acquired the white label version to keep the cranberry label company. In each case $100 even. Such is the way of a collection. Now that really might be it. Unless they release a new album.

While I am documenting, here is a small sample of images from the 1989 book.

Hopefully this is easy enough to zoom in and read on various devices. A very enjoyable and slim book. 130 pages including all front material and end discography and filmography.
