why is this subreddit dead rn?

see all our people are redditors, their loyalty is based on that.

it was killed by redditors close to us. inside. very frightened that they botched it.

anyways are there anymore discussions left?

female characters and what they symbolize

vito’s wife Carmela, she symbolizes the passiveness that confirms to adapting in that life. her character serves as a bridge between two worlds: the innocent roots of the family and the violent roots. she adapts to the life in her time, even if it is harmful, to survive.

vito’s daughter Connie, is the third second generation of it all, showing the consequences that condone the cycle. instead of breaking free of corruption she chooses to continue the harmful cycle that harms her, to sustain power.

** **vito’s granddaughter from michael; Mary, symbolizes the price of power. the same power that illusions to protect her did the opposite- a symbol of her father’s choices.

michael’s first wife Apollonia, her conclusion, was a symbol in showing that innocence and that life cannot co-exist.

michael’s last wife (ex) Kay, she symbolizes the american dream and legitimacy that the corleone family need to attain. more importantly she serves as a symbol for ending a cycle, that choices have consequences, she is the moral anchor.

lastly vito’s mother, ultimately shows sacrifice and the ruthless cycle that belongs to violence.

what can the new addition ‘connie corleone’ be about

it’s in her perspective.
i’m in the party of thinking this is an unnecessary addition.
but i’m curious what it could be about

for those of us that watched through a juvenile lens, what moment/scene in the trilogy was a disillusionment that made you understand the themes of the films?

NEW: r/Godfather user flairs enabled! Be respectful with the flairs.

Hey all

User flairs are available now!

There are some already made, and an option to edit your own.

The rules are simple: all flairs must be related to the media franchise, nothing inappropriate, discriminatory or offensive should be made, otherwise the option to edit your own flair will be removed.

This is an offer you can choose.
