Peak period Beatles?

I suppose it really comes down to personal taste, but for me the peak years are 1964–66. Of course, there are incredible songs and singles both before and after that period, but there’s something especially fresh and effortless about the music they made then. So many of their greatest sunshine melodies came from those years. They were also still functioning as a tightly knit group, with John and Paul in particular working closely together both as songwriters and vocal partners. Even after years of hearing those songs, the harmonies and youthful positive energy still gives me a thrill.

Any thoughts on The Hours and Times?

This is an hour long drama from the early 90s that was released in cinemas at the time. I really like Ian Hart as John Lennon, both in this and Backbeat. Although this is fictional, I do believe that Brian Epstein may have had feelings for John even though they weren't reciprocated. I kind of feel sorry for Brian overall and what must have been a difficult life. I know JL was deeply upset when he died.

This is a curio for any Beatles fan and it really does feel like it could have been shot in the 60s. I just watched it the other day as it's currently available on YouTube
