What Player Home make's you feel at Home?

This Year i finally caved in and bought the Anniversary Edition on PC (i know heresy) but the First Time i felt at home in a Player Home in Skyrim. So i talked about it with Friends, the discussion naturally drifted more into direction of Taste and Needs IRL applied to Videogames and maybe a bit of Videogame Nostalgia (looking at most morrowind players choosing their home on solstheim) and Psychology in General (Overthinking is our Specialty)

But coming around to my Question what are your Comfort Houses?

Newport to Claremont - how bike-friendly is Rt103?

Due to a medical issue, I am not allowed to drive. I do have a Class 2 eTrike that I would like to use more often. I live in Newport, and can get most things I need locally, but if I need to ride to Market Basket or Walmart on Washington Street, are vehicle drivers going to hate me for riding an eTrike on Rt103? The Rail Trail would be ideal, but right now it's in terrible shape (probably from all the rain.) The eTrike can do maybe 20mph, so on some parts of the trip on Rt103 a vehicle would have to pass me. Last thing I want is someone tailing me while leaning on their horn. (Yes, it's happened. The guy had plenty of space to pass, but he chose to prove a point.)

Thinking of coming back

I have an iPhone 16 pro max and I’m bored with it. I have AirPod pros that a refuse to part with as galaxy buds are not the same. I kind of wanted to wait for the iPhone ultra fold but I’m not crazy about it’s from factor. Thinking of going with the fold 7 as the big inner screen seems great for video watching and content surfing. I won’t use multitasking as much and would like a decent camera since I use it for work. Any and all advice is welcome!

Yearly new playthrough! Need idea's!

Long story short i've reran a new save every single year since 2012 when I completed my first playthrough.

Recent year's i've fallen in the monotonous loop of moding, glitching or fast levelling. Time to discard all of that and go back inti Vanilla and land an achievement on PS5 for once.

What are some of your favourite playthrough idea's, challenges, Races, & builds etc? I'd love some inspiration on where to take this journey as I always end up playing a sneak bow nord and haven't once finished a playthrough on Dunmer, Argonian, Ork or Khajit! Super boring I know 😅

Playing hard copy’s of old windows games?

I’ve been considering buying hard copy’s of the original versions of metro 2033 and metro last light. What exactly would I need to get the games running on a Linux machine?

Can't change weather

I used to get a weather popup when I tapped the weather icon on the clock widget. Now SL is using Accuweather, which I don't like. I would like to get the original back if possible, but I didn't see a way to do that. So I went into the Clock widget settings for Weather and told it to open a web page and put in the URL for the Google Weather page. Now when I tap the weather in the clock widget, I get a message "App not found." I did not specify an app, so why is it complaining about an app?

Loosing access to files on external drives?

I’m not sure what’s at fault here, my pc or my mp3. I had this problem twice, where I can only access the files and not create/delete them, I can’t change It in the properties of my mp3 and everything i do just get’s ignored after unplugging the mp3.

Is there any way to brute-force myself into the files or a setting I can change?

I am playing a modded PS5 Skyrim anniversary edit edition. Most of them are just texture and expanded dialogue. I also have the books and scrolls of quest fixing because I needed to fix a glitched quest.

My problem is at several of my houses. I can’t use the mannequins instead of saying activate mannequin as seen in the picture. It says something like “talk armor mannequin”. I’m not at home right now so I can’t look it up.

Bloodchill Manor and Lake View Manor are the two places I have unusable mannequins. Haljarchen works just fine although one keeps duplicating Dedric armor so I gave up trying to place something different there.

Bloodchill is one of my favorites and once I got it, I was going to move my collections there, but unfortunately, every single mannequin is unusable.

My question is is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried looking online and the Google AI suggested entering an exiting the house several times traveling somewhere else and coming back and even traveling somewhere else waiting 48 hours and going back none of these worked. I even disabled all my mods outside of the CC stuff an reloaded and they are still broken.

Hey Reddit Linux_Gaming community.

I got a question for you guys! Currently I'm running Nobara, on a 5950X, with a 7900XTX and my monitor is a 49in 2K ultrawide ROC (I actually do not remember what model, I'm not next to my personal desktop, willing to let people know when I'm on if they want). I've had zero issues with it, but I've been wanting to upgrade to a OLED since prices are finally reasonable and tech for burn-in has gotten A LOT better. I was still wanting to keep it an ultrawide (but totally willing to downside to something a bit smaller (but not smaller than 34in cause fuck bezzels in the middle of the screen :D).
That being said, I was wondering what monitors you guys are running and opinions on which ones have been working well (and not so well obviously) for you guys.
Do not get me wrong, I don't exactly have a budget for this thing, but there is also no way I'm going to spend 1K on it either. I do still need to do some of my own research still its not something I'm purchasing tomorrow, its more of a ..... 6 months from now kinda purchase since my current monitor is working almost perfectly (KVM in it kinda doesn't exactly want to play nice for some reason, but I got a really nice one from Level1 Tech that totally dose the amazingly).
Oh, this will be primarily for gaming, but I do plan to purchase a second monitor cause I want to start learning to program in Rust (I am not a programmer at all... so it will be a lot of... self teacher).
Anyways, chime in and let me know.
