Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Winston-Salem area
Greetings. If you are anywhere in Forsyth County and shop at these stores since their introduction to the area over 10 years ago, there are considered patterns.
Given both me growing up shopping inside and doing my online research:
The Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Kernersville off of Union Cross Road and the one off of Country Club Road near Lewisville were the quieter and more rural Walmart Neighborhood Markets, that looked like if the Walmart Supercenters of that period, had a larger version of Food Lion.
The locations on University Pkwy and HanesTowne Village, had a more sleek and urban look, that tailored to being in the areas in Downtown Winston-Salem and surrounding areas, before the recent revitalizations to Downtown.
Then one in Clemmons was the largest and more upscale location, that combined everything from the four, and gave it into one.
I am aware that all had since been updated, and the designs had severely shifted.
Now the HanesTowne Village Market is the one with the widest layout and probably the most features, and is deeply into the Hanes Mall area. The one in Clemmons is now also deeply into the Hanes Mall area, and lots of the updates made it look like a clone of the HanesTowne location, but slightly different.
University Parkway Market have the Winston-Salem mural and photos, but its design is meant for the less developed areas that surround it, and it is more for, if you are in that area. The area around the Country Club Road Market is now redeveloped to match the University Pkwy area, and the remodel retained its quieter look, but on the scale of the current University Parkway Market.
The one in Kernersville is the new in-between, that can appeal to all.
Have anybody in the area noticed this?
I am just asking?
Edit: I am just being observant, this is all.
Next Edit: If all of this is considered, it went from;
Urban: University Pkwy and HanesTowne
Rural: Kernersville and Country Club Road
Hybrid: Clemmons
to now
Urban: HanesTowne and Clemmons
Rural: University Pkwy and Country Cub Road
Hybrid: Kernersville
