Spoilers for Season 4 >!I know anime love amnesia plot lines and yes it does make sense. It just bugs me. And I get it we are seeing Subaru go through what he did before and really shows how he has changed and that what he goes through is not as trivial as a show may make it seem. I just get so tired of Amnesia plot lines, so Im starting to check out.!<

Anyone have any words of encouragement for continuing or is this a short stint in the story I only have to wait out an episode or 2?

Figured Id try a post here. Please no crime dramas or business dramas. They put me to sleep. I really want to be engaged and obsessed again. All of the shows below I either binged or was obsessed with for a long period of time. I love the feeling of watching characters grow on an adventure if that helps

I have been looking for a new show to get invested in. Been having a hard time deciding when I have so much I haven’t caught up on. (I also keep watching anime or rewatching movies). Id love to make a tierlist of all ive seen for anime and manga. However downloading 500+ images to make one sounds like a big hassle.

I see a lot of discussions and posts about how Japanese creators only want to make entertainment for the Japanese audience, which makes sense. However why do so many of them still make the same cheap fantasy or slice of life or comfy shows? Does the Japanese audience only want that?

I’ve also seen it happen where mangakas are forced by their editors to change a story or not write what they want. Biggest example right now is SpyxFamily. The creator did not want to write that story but Jump’s editors wanted that story for mainstream appeal. So which is it? Is Japan wanting us to enjoy whatever slop they make? Or do they consider their works so incredible and culturally important that we should get out of the way or change our ways?

I don’t actually care, I just watch what I like. It does tick me off a bit when we keep getting so much of the same style of show.

I played and beat DMC and DMC 2. Found the first one challenging but nothing I couldn’t handle with a few tries. DMC3 now is killing me inside, the normal mode feels like hard and the controls do not respond well. Dante is constantly jumping in the air when striking even if I don’t hold triangle. Then when I do want him to jump he misses his attacks even when locked on. There are so many other little annoying moments. What did they do between DMC 2 and 3? Don’t get me wrong I love the cutscenes, music, and bosses, but these controls are killing me.

I’ve already been reading Sakamoto Days, Dandadan, Kagurabachi, One Punch Man, and One Piece whenever I have time. Are there any other new shonen that have you addicted?

I just finished Fallout Season 2, Invincible Season 4, and The Boys will be ending soon. I’d love another series I can really get addicted too, just having a hard time with so much out there. Help me out?
