While I have many AR style weapons, this is my first bolt action. Just got my hands on a Ruger American Predator Gen 2 in 308, and I know I’m going to want a bipod. I plan to take this hunting, and also of course throw some rounds down range. I don’t need the most expensive bipod out there, but would love something that doesn’t totally suck. What would you all recommend? And should I go with a sling mount or a picatinny adapter?
Updated a few items on the Mike45 from Foxtrot Mike and I'm loving it! 7" Mike45 on a Mike45 ambi lower with RMB, Shadow Grossover Grip, SBA3, Drew Meyer Chopstop, KCI 26rd mag, Reptilia riser, Swampfox Raider 1x Prism, and Huxwrx Flow 45 M. Shot super well at the range the other weekend, but with the new grip and chopstop, it's even more comfortable, and the 26rd mag adds some nice balance. Love this thing! Now just gotta add a light....

Enjoyed a fun range day recently, featuring several Foxtrot Mike weapons!
What range bags are y'all using? I've been using a backpack for range days, and on a recent trip, my son laid a hot suppressor on it and melted the bottom of it, lol. The good news is, that backpack wasn't ideal, so this gives me an opportunity to finally get a proper range bag.
My main considerations:
*Something with a shoulder strap would be ideal, since my hands are usually carrying cases and/or ammo cases
*I mainly want to carry tools, gloves, ear pro, extra mags, etc.
What would you all recommend? Thanks for the input!
Foxtrot Mike Mike9 with the X-SD and Huxwrx Flow 9k Ti can. Shooting 124gr Blazer brass. So fun, smooth, and quiet!
I had a B&T on this 12.5" FM Mike15 previously, but recently put the Velos LBP on it, and I'm really digging it!
Finally got my FM Mike45 out to the range with the Huxwrx Flow 45 M. I decided to get some video comparing the short vs long configuration. Running pretty standard .45ACP ammo. What do you think?

Thanks to all who chimed in on my other post about the trigger spring when swapping the trigger on this bad boy. I tried everything.... small flathead, floss, various punches as a slave pins, etc.... no luck. So after nearly going insane, I took it to a local shop and they got it done for me. Funny part is, they said it was the second one they had in the shop for the same reason in the last week or two. Small world, lol. Anywho, all better now, and the trigger upgrade is definitely worthwhile. The reduced travel to the wall is really great, and I'm thrilled it's finally done!
