I think a lot of people online have completely confused attractiveness with sexualization when it comes to characters in games, comics, and media. Every time a character gets revealed there is always a group of people complaining she is “not attractive enough” and most of the time what they really mean is that she is not wearing revealing clothes or does not have exaggerated boobs, butt, or unrealistic proportions. To me that has never been the definition of attractiveness. A character can still look more attractive without being designed purely for sexual appeal

What confuses me even more is how quickly people call characters “ugly” because they look more realistic or wear normal clothing. I am not even against sexualized characters existing but I disagree with the idea about the characters somehow need to be sexualized in order to be considered attractive. Attractiveness and sexualization are not the same thing no matter how many people online try to treat them like they are
