First playthrough

So after around 30h I have finished my first playthrough, and it was amazing. I love FO, and l love survivor even more. Amazing graphics and super nice combat. But something felt off during the final duel with Bode.

The fight against Dagan was incredible. Smooth and it felt awesome. The fight with Vader was also insanely good.
I don’t know what it was but it didn’t feel the same when I fought Bode. Maybe it was a skill issue, anyone else feel the same?

Which fights/duels were your favorites?

PC + PCVR gaming?

I want to play one game on PC and one game with PCVR. The problem is the sounds get messed up.

One of these always happens.
Both sounds on PC headset
Or
Beat saber sound on VR + no sound from pc game.

Did anybody successfully do this?

”Lightsaber games”

So I love starwars and have played both fallen order and Jedi survivor, and I really liked both.

I’m looking for other starwars games to play BUT, I really want lightsabers and the force to be a big part of the game.

Which games would you guys recommend?

Lightsaber ignition time?

So I’ve only owned a pretty cheap baselit, and now I’m looking for something better.

One of the reasons I want a nicer saber is because of the ignition. So I’m wondering, can I on every neopixel change the ignition time or is it not adjustable?

Is it something I need to look for when buying a neopixel or is it easily changeable?

The outer rim mod NPCs

So I recently downloaded The outer rim mod. I love the sabers but I want to spawn NPC with sabers as well. There are setting in the mod on how fast they should be but I can’t find where to actually spawn them in.
Do I need any other mod?
Thanks in advance

Realistic drifting

I’ve heard that assetto corsa is supposed to be miles ahead of other games when it comes to realistic drifting. I’ve heard good stuff about BeamNG too but not nearly as much.

People always say AC + mods. So I need to know which mods? I’ve tried WDT but that feels too easy, maybe I have some settings that aren’t correct?

Also wondering if I have understood it all wrong. Is assetto corsa actually close to real drifting or is it simply MORE realistic compared to other games but still nowhere near realistic?

Should I push or pull in a kart?

So I drive rentals quite often and I’m wondering what’s the best way to steer.

Should I push the steering wheel with my hand on the “outside” or pull with the other hand.
Or is the best to do both?

Karting vs MX5

To those who have raced in both karts and MX-5 spec series (or other ”cheap” spec series) what did you enjoy more? Which was the hardest in terms of maintenance?

Would love to hear your pros and cons.

Sparco K-Rookie or Alpinestars tech-1 K race V2

Basic question I know, but I can’t make a decision.

Wondering which these gloves are the best for rental karting. I might buy a 125 race kart in half a year so if I could use these for practice in a race kart that would be a plus.

Also wondering what’s the difference between tech-1 K race V2 graphics and tech-1 K race S V2 PURE?

And if there are any other budget options please let me know

DIY wheelstand

I’m thinking of building my own wheel stand from wood.
I’m currently just using my desk and an office chair.
It’s not super uncomfortable but the pedals always slide back when I brake or the chair rolls back.
And I also have trouble with my pedal placement (maybe they should be higher up?).

Has anybody done something similar? A wheel stand with some way if attaching the chair wheels?

Need some tips and inspiration

The actual costs of buying a racekart

So I recently found a kart that I plan on buying. However I feel like I will need to buy other stuff too. Like a stand for the kart.
How much money do you think I need to spend when buying a kart, not including the actual kart? Tools and stuff. And maybe something to track my laps? I have no idea what that costs, how it works or if I should get it

And I’ve come to the conclusion that I can keep the maintenance costs per month to $400. I will only be practicing, not going to race yet. I’m I dreaming or is this realistic?

Budget rig

I need a rig, mostly because my chair sucks and when I brake either my chair rolls back or the pedals get pushed forward.

I’ve been looking at the Playseat evolution, Playseat challenge and Next level racing GT lite.
I know that the challenge is the easiest to fold and that the GT lite is sturdier than the challenge, but which is actually the most comfortable?

I am a bit unsure about the Playseat evolution, will I hate the pole in the middle or is it not a problem? And how comfortable is that.

I do not need to fold whatever rig I choose but it’s a plus if I can drag/lift it a meter or two.

Which one do you guys recommend? I mostly care about comfort and a good driving feel.
And if there are any other cheap rigs I should check out please let me know

Should I stick with the BMW M4?

So I’ve been racing on ACC for maybe a month now with the M4.

Before I bought the game I always wanted to drive the Porsche. So that what I did when I got the game. I jumped into the Porsche and drove some laps.
But then I saw a video or a post about how beginners shouldn’t start with the Porsche. So then I did what any beginner who has no clue what they’re doing did, I just looked up which cars newbies should start with.

The M4 came up so I just took it. Never questioned anything.
Until now.
I’m wondering; can the M4 be competitive? And should I drive the Porsche if I like it?
Also wondering how different driving styles different cars need. Is there actually a massive difference or will I not notice it?

What should I prioritize as a beginner

Ive been driving rental karts a bit and I plan on driving more often.

My goal is to race my own kart in a year or something.

So I’m wondering what I should prioritize; getting clean laps and trying to improve lap time as much as possible. Or try to go to rental karting when there are as many people as possible on the track to improve my race craft?

Question about karting equipment

So I recently started rental karting. I went on a short beginner course just to get started. And I love it. I want to race seriously but I’m just not ready to drop $10 000 on a race kart (yet).

I drive rental karts quite often now and I’m wondering about equipment. What should I get? Helmet, gloves or suit? Is anything worth it and if so what should I start with?

Any tips are appreciated

Playseat challenge or NLR GT lite/ GT lite pro?

I’ve been using my g920 on a desk for too long now so it’s time for an upgrade.
And after a bit of debating whether I should upgrade my wheel and pedals or buy a rig I’ve come to the conclusion that I will enjoy a rig more (is this wrong?).

I need something cheap and I guess foldable would be nice too. I’ve heard good things about both the playseat challenge and the next level racing GT-lite pro.

Which one is better? Is there a major difference or should I just buy the cheapest one I can find?
I know I currently only have a g920 but I still want the rig to be able to handle up to like 5nm DD wheels.

Problem with quest 2

So lately I’ve been doing a lot of sim racing, and it’s incredibly fun to do it in VR.
However I’ve ran into an issue. When I start up dirt rally 2.0 everything works fine, good graphics and smooth gameplay. But after like 10 min it just freezes in my vr. And when I try to restart it my vr won’t connect to my pc. I use cable.

My question is: is virtual desktop better than cable? I do not have Ethernet connection.
