An introduction to Creamsicle, a Zoisite gem that was split in two even halves during the gem and human war. Her two halves thrown to waste in the battle field.

Many years later that said battle field over grown into a forest. During a walk, Alis found the two halves in the forest. Feeling strangely connected to the stone, he was going to take it home, that was until it transformed in his very eyes.

Info about Zoisite: They have no memories of their past, or any idea what their purpose is. They are a gem made in era 3, a member of pink diamonds/Stevens court.

So for my new AU I’m making, I’m redesigning this old oc I had as one of the mc’s.

I would characterize them as clueless but fond of everything new. And not understanding their purpose in the world, but still on a surface level happy. They’re a sapphire(but honestly I might change that), so they are traditionally very royal and elegant looking. I’m not sure if I should stick to a feminine appearance or lean more masculine. Or completely forget the whole royal thing and go for a more relaxed look..

I’m getting back into steven universe! My character is from a AU I’m creating and I’m getting super into it!

Basic lore is that Alis is living in a universe where gems and humans went to war, and humans won. Humans had created a society used gem technology for their own gain, along with shattering any remaining gems that survived the war.

Half gem humans are sought after as human experiments. And used as military research.

Thankfully Alis identity as a half gem is hidden, even to his own self, where he doesn’t know anything about his gem half, or powers.

The second image is my reference, but I’m struggling with the angle of his right leg. I keep drawing the thigh in a awkward position where it doesn’t hide the calf and ankle, so it just looks so awkward.

I really should draw some more stuff involving my ocs world..

I’m a college student in the need of more experience! I have some experience with storyboarding, a lot of experience in character design. But not a lot of experience animating!

For my character design and storyboarding work I would like to be paid! As for animation I would be happy to volunteer. (i might be open to volunteering my other skills if the story really interests me!)

I been feeling sick all day my silly little guy makes me feel happy though!

Decided to make a post with the silliest little guy ever!

I wanted to do a thing similar to disney, cartoony and kinda real.

Lore:

Lives in a post human and gem war universe, where gems lost the war. Many of these gems in the war and on earth were shattered, and used as the earth newest form of energy. Some gems who survived went into hiding on earth, or completely left the planet. The Earth is an extremely dangerous place for gems, half humans even worse.

Alis has no clue about his gem identity, raised by his Aunt, she avoided talking to him about his gem. He assumed it was just a strange birthmark on his back that his aunt made him cover, which is why he wears so many layers of clothes.
Alis used to do boxing as a hobby, until his Aunt felt like it was too risky of exposing his gem. Now he's a confused kid trying to figure out his newfound young adulthood.

I really don't know if I like his hair being up in a ponytail tail...
He's supposed to be a bit awkward but not above fighting for himself. His hair feels more mature? If that makes sense?
The story i have with him is supposed to be very similar to a coming to age story, along with acceptance of yourself. So I'm not sure if his design reads as that.
