What is an actual plot hole in the show?

What is an actual plot hole in the show?

And I mean real plot holes not omissions so no missing Suzie or Argyle.

For me it’s how come Sullivan didn’t track Argyle’s pizza van in S4. There is no way they made it across the country in that thing and nobody noticed.

Other than that I don’t see anything truly horrible.

WTF does Tony Stark mean by “I am Iron Man.”

So this guy is now claiming he is some sort of superhero. Is he bullshitting us?

I’ve seen pictures of two metal men fighting at Stark Industries and Stark is claiming to be one of them?

Is this some publicity stunt?

Personally I think that it is possible that he developed some battle suit but I am sceptical that he is going to protect us. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

Also who exactly was that over guy in that over suit? Obadiah Stane?

Why the government let the party go in the epilogue.

This has long been called a plot hole but the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

Once El disappeared and the Upside Down collapsed you’d have to imagine that the US government was very pissed off but not just at the main cast but also at Dr Kay. Not only did Kay fail her mission but she managed to lose the literal alternate dimension full of potential weapons against the soviets in their backyard.

There was no way Kay could feasibly punish Nancy or Hopper without it coming back to bite her. The government was not going to cover up the disappearance of like 27 civilians including a bunch of kids that had last been seen being dragged to their headquarters. It would be a way too hard process to undergo for someone who had failed them so hard.

It is an all in one package Kay kills one of them and there is an investigation in which all the others would testify against her and the government would let her take the fall. The only person she could feasibly get away with killing is Hopper given that he was already declared dead but that doesn’t change the fact that there would still be witnesses who she can’t kill that would hold her accountable.

Kay also couldn’t lock them up legally as the government would never risk any of the main cast seeing the inside of a courtroom where they could be able to testify and expose their actions.

As a result all they could do was let them go, make them sign an NDA and put them under surveillance which is why Mike then explains his theory using D&D terms.

Thoughts on Tony Stark’s statement?

So Tony Stark has announced that he is claiming responsibility and shutting down his weapons division.

Personally I think it’s a good idea. Enough people have died in war but do we believe him? He is a billionaire after all. Did he really have a change of heart? Possible. Getting tortured in a cave or whatever can allow someone to change their minds.

I just hope this isn’t some a**hole billionaire way to somehow make more money.

So do we think Tony Stark has changed or not?

Welp we are now getting those spinoffs.

Netflix loves money too much not milk this franchise now.

Here is to hoping the spinoffs are good.

The original show and TF85 were great. Please don’t break the streak.

How would SHIELD approach the situation in BND

If you watched the movie you know that the plot hinges around Jean Grey using her telepathic powers to attack the DODC in an attempt to find her sister.

So I was wondering how SHIELD would handle the situation given that they are an organisation specialised in handling super-powered people and have dealt with telepaths before although they were all different from Jean.

Personally I think that the post S7 team specifically Mack and Yo-Yo would understand the danger of her powers especially after their experiences with Izel (the powers are different but the way a person perceives being possessed is awfully similar) so they would definitely understand how dangerous her powers can be. I also think that maybe Daisy or May would try to emphasise with her although May would probably get PTSD from Bahrain again. I am 100% sure though that once they figure out would Meltzger was up to they would all be against it given the shit they dealt with Hydra.

So what exactly happened in New York this time

Since the Chitari rained out of their wormhole I decided I would stay as far away from New York as possible and that has been mostly successful.

However I have to ask: What even went down this time? I heard that Spider-Man was involved, and that time froze for a few people and that it felt instantaneous but how is that even possible? Ok I know it is, everything is but what could cause this?

I’ve seen stuff online about people losing time prior to this event so my theory is that a telepath caused this. Of course the SHIELD files indicated they didn’t exist other than that one Thomas Nash guy who was stuck in a chair and got shot the second he was found. Also this was before Wanda Maximoff but the Mind Stone is gone now so her powers are impossible to recreate.

So is this some sort of technology, an Inhuman or some other form of mutation we haven’t seen before? Also did Spider-Man handle the situation or will it come back?

Also could the DODC be involved somehow?

First Avenger may not be the best Cap movie but this scene is amazing

I really love Erskine’s character and how he is the only reason that a good man like Steve was able to get the serum against the will of the government.

Red Skull is far from the best villain in the trilogy but the way Erskine explains his backstory and his own past is really well done.

Honestly this scene truly exemplifies the best of this movie: how Steve was chosen because he was a good person who just wanted to do the right thing.

Is the DODC trying to replace SHIELD (and the ATCU)

I mean what is their deal trying to contain enhanced individuals? Didn’t the government already try this a decade ago with the ATCU a decade ago during the Inhuman outbreak only for it do be dissolved after a year or something.

Also isn’t this SHIELD’s ballpark? I know they haven’t done much since 2019 but handling enhanced threats is their job and they did it best (OG SHIELD was trash but the Jeffery Mace version was actually great at their job and genuinely seemed to care about Inhumans and the new version doesn’t seem controversial in the ten years or so they’ve been up and running.

I don’t trust the DODC to protect us. They should go back to being the cleanup crew.

What was the original plan for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars?

So now we have Doomsday and it makes sense that Doom is the villain but what exactly was the idea when they were going to make Kang the villain? Was Kang going to become God Emperor of battleworld?

The incursions were still going to happen as a result of the Kang’s messing with the Multiverse as Kang himself explains in Quantumania but how would that have lead into Secret Wars.

Personally I have two possible theories: either Kang wasn’t meant to die in Quantumania and he would have went on to create battleworld and this only changed because of Jonathan Majors being arrested or RDJ as Doom was always the plan for the villain of Secret Wars and was supposed to be a twist.

Which season’s opening is the best?

IMO it’s S1 the OG that started it all, followed closely by S5 which is IMO the creepiest.

S4 is third place and is truly unsettling.

Then comes S3 which is cool but not as good as the ones I ranked higher.

S2 is last place. It’s great but it only sets up the Lost Sister episode which comes a lot later.

What will the live action spinoff be about?

So all we know is that it will somehow involve the Mind Flayer rock. So I’ve been trying to think about what this means.

The only thing we know about that rock is that it was able to keep the MF particles alive in the real world without a rift meaning to is somehow able to create some sort of connection to the Abyss without a rift open.

IDK if the MF itself will return but IMO the antagonist will either be the MF or some other entity in the Abyss that is able to manifest in the real world using this rock. I think we will probably learn more about the Abyss and the nature of the creatures there and this spinoff will probably work to set up a larger franchise given that Netflix loves money.

Hopefully we will get good writers and it will be a worthy successor to the show we love. I haven’t been disappointed yet so hopefully this project won’t be a letdown.

Predictions for Tales From 85 S2?

So TF85 S2 is now a little over three months away so what are our predictions?

So we have that flower in the Upside Down so unlikely S1 the threat will probably relate more to the UD. It will probably involve some new entity still separate from the Mind Flayer trying to break the barrier between worlds while simultaneously attracting attention by scaring people through the lights like Vecna in the Creel house and Will in S1. Hence the whole “haunting in Hawkins” thing.

I think Nikki won’t move away yet as there seems to be plans for a third season.

Also we will probably get another episode with Steve or Nancy or maybe even Jonathan given he was in the first episode.

I don’t have any other ideas so feel free to give your own predictions or give your opinions on how likely mine are in the comments.

How would El’s fate affect Mike and Max’s relationship?

Specifically asking given that Mike and Max’s fight in S3 was all about how Max thought Mike was a controlling a**hole boyfriend and wanted El to be independent while all Mike wanted was for El to be safe after having lost El in S1.

El’s death in S5 would allow Max to understand exactly what Mike was afraid of and maybe understand that Mike isn’t a bad person but someone who cared about El too much and didn’t want to lose her again as Mike says in S3 and as TF85 cements.

In a scenario where El turned up alive do you guys think we could finally get a world where Max fully supports Mike and El’s relationship?

If you could make one change to the plot of the show WITHOUT CHANGING THE OVERALL STORYLINE what would it be?

I would probably change the California plotline in S4 so that we can actually explore Mike, Will and Jonathan’s characters. I would probably do this by having the military chase them because it honestly makes no sense that they managed to travel across multiple states in the same pizza van without being spotted (honestly the military is dumber in S4 than S5). Jonathan would initially take a leader role but would struggle and would then give that role to Mike as he is the heart of the party (so we get an actual arc between the three characters rather than just a painting that split the fandom harder than the megarift split Hawkins).

BTW you can’t change anything major and the overall storyline needs to remain the same (so no delete S5 comments please this isn’t what I’m asking for).

I can’t believe Warner Bros cut out Darkseid from the theatrical cut, Warner bro’s really don’t know what they’re doing, they’re supposed to just let Snyder and their other filmmakers make their movies in peace #ReleasetheAyercut #Restorethesnyderverse #Makethebatfleckmovie #maketheLetoJokermovie

So SHIELD has now collapsed.

I don’t even know where to start.

I knew SHIELD was dodgy but I never could have guessed they were infiltrated by literal Nazi’s.

They literally tried to kill us all with their predictive programming shit.

Thank goodness Captain America stopped them or we’d be living in fascist hell.

And don’t get me started on those files. The stuff in there is insane. Apparently SHIELD managed to stop some weird shit in the past year including superhero cocktails, Tesseract plasma guns, suicide squad like eye implants and other insane stuff.

But wait it gets worse. Turns out SHIELD is to blame for the alien invasion in New York because they experimented on a magic space cube called the Tesseract.

Oh, and Obama didn’t try to nuke New York some weirdo’s called the World Security Council did. You got me right: there is a group of people not affiliated with any government with the ability to launch nuclear weapons. And this group was also involved with this INSIGHT business which almost threw us into a totalitarian state.

So, I guess we’ve been really lucky but we probably have some more crazy stuff coming.

Hopefully we will make it.

This sub just crossed a line.

So I keep seeing posts comparing Steve Rogers in the new Doomsday trailer to Man based on the basis that he looks like a normal guy.

This is wrong. This is terribly wrong and insulting.

This sub is meant for comedy but this is crossing a line and is very inappropriate.

Why you may ask?

Because Man already exists. He lives in Ham City and protects it, he fights the Jonkler and is an actual hero.

You can call Steve Rogers guy or dude but not Man

I will now return to the Aslume and ask that you behave better.

Shame on you.
