The People's National Party is born.

The People's National Party is born.

***We're a Conservative, monarchist, right-leaning and Christian movement. But above all, we're like you.***

***We defend that all human beings have the right to live, and that life starts at the very moment of conception. We consider abortion is not healthcare, but rather a genocide that must be stopped at any cost.***

***We believe that the Christian bases of society are being threatened, especially in Europe, and that it's everyone's duty to defend them. I'm a Catholic myself, but I also believe in ecumenism and that we are Christians, because we believe in one same God that loves all of his children equally.***

***We're firm defensors of semi-constitucional monarchy. We trust in the figure of a non-partidist monarch that brings stability to the nation and acts like a moderator power over the President and its government, acting as a 'Fourth Branch' of the Government, the Moderator Branch, as specified in the 1824 Constitution of the Brazilian Empire.***

***We're not huge fans of big corporations though. We think that capitalism has gone too far and it's slowly worsening our quality of life, but we also strongly reject Marxism. We believe in DISTRIBUTISM, and that families, small owners and entrepreneurs should be the motor of the economy, not corporations and investment funds that seek to exploit the working man.***

***Another thing that we don't like is hate. We believe that God created every human being as his own image and likeness, and so every human being has dignity and may call himself a son of God. It doesn't matter if you're not Christian, homosexual, transgender or anything, our gates are wide open for everyone.***

[ITH] The least chaotic Bundesrat session in 1994:

Our beloved Spanish Empire and the German Empire had been the protagonists of the Cold War (1949-1994). Until the 1970's, the thing was quite equal, some even claimed that the German Empire was ahead thanks to it's triumph in the Space Race.

However, the Indonesian War (1974-1976) turned out to be a turning point in the conflict.

You see, German-backed Indonesia had the balls to start a war with Spain after a diplomatic incident related to the sovereignty of the Riau Islands (Islas de los Bajos). Indonesia thought that the jungle of Borneo would be pretty easy to defend. However, the Spanish would prove them wrong, annexing the whole island.

Spain would be really happy with its new toy in Asia, but however they would have to donate some. You see, keeping Spanish India and Ceylon was quite expensive and also, they were a logistical nightmare. With full control of the Malacca Strait and basically, the whole Pacific, it didn't make much sense to keep them. The solution? Giving them "controlled independence", like they did before with Indochine. At the end, this maneuver ended up dooming the Kaiserreich.

The German response was trying to destabilise the United States of Greater Austria, in an attempt to leave Spain without a very important ally and looting some Habsburg booty. However, this brilliant idea would become a very fancy way to waste a lot of money.

In 1994, after Kaiser Louis Ferdinand I died, king Albert VI of Bavaria, tired of the bunch of German anti-Catholic laws, broke ties with Berlin and declared independence, then German New Guinea did the same. Aware of then German collapse, Ukrainian president Yuriy Kostenko left the Reichspakt, followed by Belarus. Soon, Belgium, Burgundy, Champagne, Mittelafrika, and Baden declared independence.

Then, the Reichsheer became very pissed and threw a military coup, which succeeded only partially. The full scale collapse of the Kaiserreich had been avoided and Prussia wouldn't sit alone, but definitely it wasn't the soul of the party now. Baden, Württemberg, Togoland, Alsace, Luxembourg and Lorraine seceded from the German Empire, and Saxony also planned to do it. The territorial camera of the German Parliament, the Bundesrat, had no choice but to disband the Reichspakt and try to protect the German Empire from collapsing, gathering around Prussia.

I redesigned my coat of arms

(Would this be considered "OC" or "Current"?)

Welcome to the yearly redesign of my Coat of Arms! This is like the fourth edition, but the thing is that I'm pretty nonconforming and I think there are some things I may improve. For example, on the latest version, both dexter quarters had mistakes (such as four argent batons and four azure batons) and they were inverted (my second name was on chief, when it would normally be my first name the one in chief) and some of you said it was pretty weird it didn't have some sort of crest.

Also, u/Gennar_1 gave it a pretty good wash last time (if you're here, thank you very much), but it ended up with a Anglo-Saxon/British style, while I like my local Spanish style, which is the main reason I'm redesigning this.

You know what each of the symbols stand for: the dexter quarters are my surnames (in case you don't know, we Hispanics have two surnames); the Agnus Dei represents Saint John the Baptist; the eagle represents Saint John the Apostle; the lion basically represents courage, as usual and the motto below means "Give me Lord a discerning heart". But I added a couple things; a helmet and a crest (with its torse, obviously). The crest is directly the elements on the coat of arms of Cuenca, which is my hometown. I added that pinecones (fun fact: they're exactly 26 pinecones, one for each of my classmates next September) because when I searched my family's coat of arms, it turns out it's fructed or.

[ITH] H.C.I.M King Lorenz I lifting the World Cup trophy

After a brilliant finale between the Kingdom of Spain and the Viceroyalty of River Plate, Spain became Champions of the World for a second time after 16 years after a goal by Ferrán Torres in the extra time.

In this timeline, the Spanish Empire was restored by the Habsburgs, which turned a weakened Spain into a powerful empire once again.

However, football developed very differently through the Empire during the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, causing the Empire to not have a single national team for all of its territories, but one national team for each of them, allowing Spain and its Viceroyalties to compete independently.

What if king Juan Carlos I was killed?

The terrorist organisation ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna, a Basque independentist group) tried killing the King of Spain itself, Juan Carlos I in August of 1995.

The Biscay Commando, formed by Juan José Rego Vidal, his son Iker Regó and Jorge Garcia Sertutxa had been planning the attack since 1993. They bought a Remington 700 rifle with scope and suppressor and they rented an apartment in Palma de Mallorca, near to the King's yacht, the Fortuna. On 9 August, 1995, the plan was carried on.

In OTL, despite having a shot TWICE, Juan José didn't press the trigger due to "logistical problems and by 23:30 the Spanish Police arrested them, but what if none of this happened?

It was a sunny afternoon in Palma de Mallorca when Juan José saw a chance and pressed the trigger twice. His first shot missed but the second one hit the monarch in the womb. Despite being rushed to the nearest hospital, King Juan Carlos I was pronounced dead at 21:30.

This notice shocked the Spanish public and Government, led by President Felipe Gonzalez, who declared 5 days of national mourning. It was the first time in more than a hundred years that a Spanish monarch died during his reign. Franco had died in 1975, but this was a completely different thing.

After his father's death, Prince Felipe of Asturias became king Felipe VI of Spain, having ruled ever since.

Juan Carlos' funeral would have probably the most followed funeral in TV, at least for Spain.

ETA's plan was to cause instability in Spain after killing its Head of State but this would have backfired as the Spanish people would have become more united against terrorism, having similar consequences to Miguel Ángel Blanco's murder (which took place a couple years later). The Monarchy would have gained a lot of popularity, while ETA would have been treated far more roughly from there on, maybe causing it to disappear a bit sooner, about 2007/2008.
