He hosted three times (1984, 86, 88); after that, aside from an appearance in 2010 during a What Up with That? sketch, he never did another gig. It seems that he was probably too busy or whatnot. Just imagine a sketch with him and either Farley or Sandler (or with both)
I know there's more, but don't have all day
Now before someone says that this question is better suited for r/Winnipeg, please be note that I'm not even remotely allowed to comment on there.
For starters, we are too car-centric and it's hard out there to be a pedestrian. Opening Portage & Main helps, but still a long ways to go
Our urban design in this city lacks the vibrancy of other cities in Canada. No LRT (Light Rail Transit), infrastructure that still looks like the 80s and 90s, etc; all of this makes us less connected as people. Downtown doesn't feel "Downtown"
And speaking of downtown, crime, poverty, homelessness, and addiction are probably the biggest issues plaguing this city. Rehabilitation, counselling, and education must remain top priorities, or else we're going to continue to lag behind others. (This is also an issues for all the big cities in Canada, too)
Taxes are a little high, too. I'd rather the wealthy top one percent pay their due instead of everyday working people having to feel the pinch
City Hall's usually a relic of old guards, dinosaurs, and people too resistant to change that the people in charge are too worried about making their constituents happy than helping the city grow
This is more than a province-wide issue, but can we just make Daylight Savings Time permanent? Can't be the only one having to change our clocks every 8 months
One thing that's keeping us in the public eye is our arts, music, sports, and cultural reputation. A pretty good one I might say
Still, this city needs the biggest makeover this side of Vancouver
Inspired by r/NFLv2, what are the greatest games in league history? Mine is the 93rd Grey Cup game in Vancouver 2005. Edmonton vs. Montreal. Calvillo vs. Ray. A game that swung from right to left, with Edmonton going on top early, with Montreal taking the lead in the second half. A back and forth fourth and an OT for the ages.
Just the image of Maciocia celebrating when Edmonton hadn't won yet only adds to the legacy
Like, any one from John Madden are legendarily funny
It's U.S. Open week; and with this tournament, anything can happen. What are the things you've witness during a U.S. Open that left you scratching your head?

Living in the prairies, I always believe it's us due to how we're positioned but I assume others will think otherwise
