I have an 400 Mbps fiber connection. The ONT (fiber box) is installed near my entrance, but I want to move my ASUS AX53 router to a more central location in the house for better Wi-Fi coverage.
I measured the cable route, and it’s about 7 meters, so I’m planning to use a 10 m Cat6 Ethernet cable from the ONT to the router.
Will this reduce my internet speed or increase latency in any noticeable way? Or is this a better solution than keeping the router near the entrance or using a Wi-Fi extender?
Thanks!

Lately I’ve been struggling with the amount of casual hate towards men that seems to be accepted online.
Whether it’s reality shows, Reddit, Instagram, or other social media, I constantly see comments like “small dick energy” or “all men are…” followed by some negative stereotype. If a man made an equivalent remark about women’s bodies or generalized all women, I feel like there would be immediate backlash, but comments aimed at men often get laughed off or even encouraged.
I don’t like hate towards anyone. What frustrates me most is what feels like a double standard. The message often seems to be that body shaming or stereotyping is unacceptable unless the target is a man.
Recently I watched a comedy show where a practicing doctor from a reputed medical college made jokes about dead people’s genitals. I found it shocking, not just because of the joke itself, but because she’s a medical professional. The fact that no action has been taken against her makes it even more surprising to me. I honestly wonder what the reaction would have been if the genders were reversed.
Another thing that has really bothered me is seeing a book being popularized in India called How to Kill Men and Get Away With It. What shocked me even more was seeing women on social media defending it or justifying it rather than questioning whether a title like that is appropriate. Again, I can’t help but wonder how differently people would react if there were a book with the genders reversed.
Maybe I’m just venting, but it’s been bothering me for a while. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I looking at it the wrong way?
I’m genuinely interested in hearing different perspectives. Please keep the discussion respectful.
this book is getting very popular in india! and women in social media are still justifying its content!

Hi, I’m a 15-year-old male and recently started wearing AquaLens monthly NXT soft contact lenses.
I’m looking for some advice because I’m not sure if this is just normal irritation from starting contacts or something like a small corneal abrasion.
Here’s everything that happened:
I started feeling a pinching/sharp sensation in my right eye after wearing my contacts at the airport.
I had a burning sensation in my right eye, but that has now gone away.
My right contact lens fell on the ground twice on separate occasions.
It also fell into a sink once. I immediately rubbed it with contact lens solution and left it soaking in fresh solution for about 10-11 hours before wearing it again.
I’ve been using methylcellulose lubricating eye drops and SOHA eye drops (hyaluronic acid), and they seem to have helped a lot.
Current symptoms:
The only thing I feel now is a very mild sharp sensation in my right eye only when I move my eye while my eyelids are closed.
During normal activities, my eye feels almost completely normal.
My eyes are a little dry.
What I DON’T have:
No redness
No discharge
No light sensitivity
No excessive tearing
No blurry vision
No trouble keeping my eye open
One of my family members has been wearing contact lenses for 6-7 years and thinks this is normal since I’ve just started wearing them. They said my eyes will get used to the lenses over time and that this can happen while adjusting to contacts.
Does this sound like normal contact lens irritation, dry eye, a small healing corneal abrasion, or something else? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks!
why add artificial flavours😞
I’ve been using Airtel Fiber for over 4 years, but I recently moved to a new house where Airtel Fiber isn’t available. Because of that, I got an Excitel 400 Mbps fiber connection.
I still have my old Airtel Fiber ONT/router, model AOI-4221SR (dual-band ONT/router), which was working perfectly before I moved. Since Excitel doesn’t provide a router with my plan, I’m wondering if I can reuse this device instead of buying a new router.
Has anyone here used an Airtel ONT/router with Excitel or another ISP?
Can this ONT be registered directly on Excitel’s network?
If not, can it be configured and used as a normal router or access point behind an Excitel ONT?
Are Airtel-provided ONTs locked to Airtel, or can they be unlocked/reconfigured?
I’d appreciate any advice from people who have tried this before. I can also share photos of the device if needed.
