We took inspiration from some of our favorite roguelites and made an online bullet hell RPG!

Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne (among others) were huge inspirations for our combat. We ended up taking those ideas in a different direction and built a persistent online bullet hell RPG instead.

It’s focused on group content, class identity, and deep character customization. Instead of a traditional roguelite loop, progression carries forward. The goal is to collect gear, experiment with builds, and continuously improve your character over time through bite-sized dungeon runs.

It's probably not a perfect fit for the subreddit, but I wanted to share it since many of the games here had a big influence on its development.

After years of development, I finally announced my online bullet hell RPG!

Hi! I'm working on Runeward Online, a online bullet hell RPG. It takes inspiration from classic bullet hell games and builds it into a multiplayer experience focused on group content, build experimentation, and (persistent) loot progression.

It's not a roguelike; it's an online world where progression carries forward. Still in pre-alpha, but inching closer to that finish line every day.
