Hey there, been a bit. Got back to Diablo as per my yearly usual and finally got the chance to play the Lord of Hatred expansion. Absolutely loved it. Mephisto was an incredible antagonist in D4 overall . He was already a fav of mine in D2, but boi did he get an upgrade!

Did miss playing this game.
Was in the mood to sketch something up...and yes I am broken up about it, already miss my goat <3

Might do more Diablo themed art these days. Maybe some D4 crossover pieces with my vampire god killing characters (2 barbs and a rogue ingame). Will see where the mood takes me. Now im back to being addicted to D4 XD

Been awhile since ive done a Guild Wars 2 crossover, felt like it was time to sketch one .

A disclaimer before I drop my points:
Like many here, I am a Wolverine fanboi, im the type of fanboi that when Im out of OCs to make in character customization games I make him! I LOVE Wolverine's Revenge and I LOVE The Origin game(and also like the PS2 "not uncaged" edition of it back then XD). So thats the context. So my comparisons will stay to the Wolverine games I played.

Gameplay:
**-**I like it quite a bit. Now that Im in NG+mostly fully upgraded Ive been enjoying it a lot
-Had it on The Weapon difficulty so it was quite challenging, died quite a few times so I was fairly engaged with that
-I do miss the more manual grapples and more normal/arial combos like in Origins(hope they add more stuff to it in future updates)
-Never been a fan of QTEs but I didnt find them too annoying here, the ones in the Sabretooth fight were quite intense since if I fail once I died and had to redo that sequence XD
-Boss Fights are incredible! Sabretooth is one of my top favs in general gaming now
-fart trail presence was overblow by reviews, but then again i am the type that spammed the "animal senses" in the old games whenever there was an inconveniece XD

Art Style/Sound
-Music is excellent
-Combat sounds were solid(could have gone with more yelling like Revenge and Origins)
-Graphics were amazing
-I didnt like the hyper-realistic art style. and its not due to characters looking "ugly", its the same issue I had with Origins, but that one had the excuse of being a movie tie in. Mind you Im not saying I want it to look like my absurdly exagerated/cartoony artstyle. But something like a modern Wolverine's Revenge style wouldve been sick, y'know more comic-booky
-Wish logan looked a little grumpier/angrier, I feel like the eyebrows/angle were mostly the culprit.(also his head felt too big and his hands looked too small)
- Love how the Suits look in general. And as a BIG X-men Legends fan, im obviously rocking Ultimate(Yellow)

Story
-Its overall an interesting Alternate Universe, i quite enjoyed the big story connections to a certain big name mutant in the X-men Legacy.
-Wolverine not being centered around Weapon X for once was really fascinating, and I didnt mind it at all, it was honestly refreshing in a way
-With Wolverine being my favorite character, and Sabretooth and Mystique being my favorite villains in fiction, I was really excited to have em all in a team in the Team X stuff(those were my favorite parts of the story honestly, do wish Maverick made the cut, instead of just being an item cameo)
-Liked Wolverine's depiction enough in this, Liam does a good job voicing him and he still feels like a variant of the character, wish he was more of an asshole tho
-Generally liked Mystique in this, altho wasnt fully sold on her at times, I was also very mad that instead of going with her canonical wife they picked friggin Tyger Tyger of all things(she wasnt even a crime boss in this one!)
-LOVED how they did Sabretooth in this one, some lines he said were a bit odd, but ever scene with him I cherish XD. Plus the final encounter was incredible. His final design with the Helix eyes was GREAT.
-The Whole Essex angle they took was fun imo
-Enjoyed the Hand and Reaver stuff quite a bit
-Wish Omega Red had more of a presence in the plot but I loved how he was in this one(wish him and the proto sentinel boss swapped places in the plot tho, wouldve loved to see him being taken down by all of Team X instead of just Wolverine
-Lady Deathstrike commanding the hand was an interesting choice, I enjoyed this alternate take, wish they had more history than her hearing rumors tho(but I guess with weapon X out its a bit harder XD )
-And now to the part that RUINED the story for me: you guessed it, the Jean x Logan romance plot
-- All Ill say is that Im a huge hater of this ship since forever and the plot trying so obnoxiously to cram in its importance soured the whole experience from me naratively. I know this is an alternate universe and Age Of Apocalypse also had them as a thing, but in this game it felt like they straight up rewrote their personalities to make them perfectly gel together, also the whole Awful >!"Halkman and Halkgirl" thing where they are destined to be together since forever was fucking horrible, and yes I am being super drammatic, I was never this close to feeling physical pain until that plot point was revealed XD ! !< , It pretty much ruined the plot for me with how much they were trying to drive the point across on their romantic relationship and intertwine it with the bigger plot. Honestly if this whole thing was platonic I wouldve loved this take on them.

Final Score
Somewhere around 7.5-7.8/10 sadly.
If it wasnt for the terrible love pairing being so ingrained in the story Id go 8 , but it is what it is.

As much as I personally have zero regrets on buying this at full price, And im planning to replay it a few times for sure. I cant recommend it at full price. I just cant. With Sony also being a full POS with their only digital games in the future BS I will likely not ever Play an eventual sequel. But Ill probably watch how the story continues on youtube XD

Gotta say today, was a rough mental day for me, everything felt off and I had zero energy in the stream. Barely managed to cook this thing up, but I wanted to do a warmup for the big Darksiders weekend commission stream tommorow. Hopefuly I can bring back the energy these two days.

(Ill also add I dont care about the reviews honestly, all i want is my snikt-bub man, his lovely rogue's gallery, a bit o' blood here and there and his ultimate and new-xmen adjacent costumes! XD )

Im particularly pissed with my 10 minute Fury(god I should not have made such a complicated pose for her) and Phantom General.

While the boi didnt make it in the comic since it was a Fury and Death adventure, him having an "abomination hunting" armor is still quite fitting considering what he had to go trough in Abomination Vault XD

Probably my last serious Darksiders piece related to this project. It was a good run ^^

Today I made an INSANE discovery.
So during my artstream today I was chatting with a fellow darksiders fan, and realized, that my first ever drawing of the series, was not only in 2013(wich honestly thought I got into it later) but first fanart had both Death AND Fury, wich is crazy! I knew I became a fan of hers way before 3 but her being in my very first darksiders fanart is nuts XD
Anyway since we went full circle with me doing a comic with these 2, I felt like doing a redraw with my current Abomination Pact gear that I made for em XD. Probably my last AP art Ill be doing with these two for a bit XD (well this and the colored version Ill work on tommorow)

Was in the mood to do more meme pieces connected to my Darksiders minicomic.

(using the last drops of darksiders inspiration before I fall into obcsurity again and get into other fandoms XD)

So, its finally done. half a month of pure intensity, working 8 plus hours daily nonstop on this one project with only pure passion to fuel it.
Been wanting to do a proper Darksiders fancomic ever since Darksiders 3's release. Back then I was super bummed we never got a Fury centered comic like we had with War and Death's entries. Ended up discarding the idea, cause ultimately it was too much work and I would be losing out on time I could be keeping myself afloat financially.
Intense projects like these require that I go all or nothing sadly, so doing bit by bits stuff is a dead end with how my brain works with projects like this. Decided to take the plunge this time. and since I was bummed that we never got a Darksiders Genesis 2 with my favorite horsemen Death and Fury I decided it would be the perfect excuse to make something of that.
Ultimately this project was made originally only for me and as I developed it I wanted to turn it into a sort of love letter to the creators/developers of the franchise. I really hope they see it, and if Joe Madureira(one of my main artistic influences, and reason I got into the franchise to begin with) sees the comic, well, I did it with a ton of love and I have you to thank good sir, I hope you like my love letter/sticky note XD

Tried to make it as official/canon adjacent looking as possible, made sure that nothing here could step on the toes of the actual lore. That way I can pretend that its canon like the rest of the non game materials XD
Will I ever make a sequel? Probably not, this was a gargantuan undertaking, and rushed too, so I don't risk going too in the negative work/money-wise XD . But hey, we all get a free Darksiders comic featuring Fury and Death in the end. Im happy about it, I still left a proper setup for a sequel(and Id know how to write it), and if nothing else, Ill prolly be making random fanarts within the time before the end of Death and Fury's hunt in this comic. Really happy with their armor designs XD

Also a BIG shoutout to Sickles_of_Saturn from reddit, for deciding to throw me a bone during my process so I can actually afford food for a week.
Speaking of not being able to afford food, now I gotta go and see if I can salvage the commission momentum this project absolutely massacered. Lost a lot of potential views/work and apparently even paid patrons from this project process. So wish me luck, I will absolutely need it!

Now I gotta letter all the stuff…(got the cover down tonght so that's out of the way at least)

Good news! Im currently working on page 10 out of 11 of my Abomination Pact mini comic.
Im gettin real close to the end, then I will begin the lettering process, wich thankfully I already did all the scriptwriting a few days ago.

Just dont get your hopes up for something crazy good. Its a very straightforward story featuring these 2 siblings.

Curently at Page 8 of 11. Making some solid progress...albeit slower than I hoped.
