My small but proud WD collection

Of my 18 watches, 4 of them are Watchdives and honestly, some of the most worn pieces I have…only second in wrist time behind my Thorn Pelagos homage and Bulova Lunar Pilot. Love each one and honestly, the ones I get the most compliments on.

Dark Side Apollo 8 build

Originally did it in a Megir and wanted something with nicer finishing…turned out nice with the stainless black bracelet.

Bulova Lunar Pilot

I finally pulled the trigger..I present to you the Bulova Linar Pilot, the “other” moon watch that astronaut David Scott wore on EVA-3 during the Apollo 15 mission. To say that it is stunning is the understatement of the century!

My first Thorn!

Just received the Thorn SHY036 with the PT5000 movement. First impressions are amazing. The all titanium watch and bracelet is noticeably lighter than similar watches in stainless, and the big blocky dial markers in lume is stunning. This will for sure be in my daily rotation along with my beloved WD7922. Simply gorgeous!

Another day, another switch

Went with a Dark Side style switch tonight, which came out quite well. Definitely going to experiment with straps, but love it so far!

1965 Vintage Switch

Just finished a 1965 vintage switch! Have had this strap for a while that’s never been used. It finally has a home!

Highly disappointed

Back in 2020 I spent the extra $$ and got an authentic Germany soccer jersey. I’ve own many soccer jerseys throughout the years dating back to the 90’s, some authentic and some “fan” jerseys and never had a problem. This one however…yeah no. Wore it maybe half a dozen times, always kept inside in a climate controlled closet. When needing washed, followed the instructions set by adidas and never ever put it in a drier. What happened was the number 11 on the back started peeling off and bad. The front number 11, name of the player and all other insignia’s are perfect, just the back number.

So I contacted adidas support to see if anything can be done, knowing they have a tiny little 6 month warranty. Shocker, got shot down, but they did send me a 15% off coupon. Needless to say, I don’t ever plan on spending the extra money on authentic jerseys made by adidas any longer. I expected better quality from them.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Curious if it’s just the material they are using or what.

Just Arrived - WD7922

Was really excited for this one and it did not disappoint! Finished to perfection, not a detail is missed! Wore it all day today and the comfort of the bracelet is phenomenal, and the clasp is 1000 times nicer than what I have on my WD1863’s, which I can’t complain about either. Lume is beautiful as well and the bezel is nice and firm with zero play back and forth. That puts my WD watch count now at 4 with many more on my list 😁

The excitement of more switches

More cases arrived for a few more switches! Just waiting for the moonswatches to arrive. This time will be a 1965, Mission to Mercury and dark side of the moon.

Recommendations on how to print this...

I've been looking high and low for a detailed DDG model and really like this one by Richard Irish on Printables. Plan is to print with a 0.2 nozzle on my Bambu P1S, but its going to need an epic spiderweb of support to accomplish, which, with the delicate details, will be a royal pain to clear off. I was debating splitting the model at the water line and printing the two halves, but wanted to get the community's recommendation.

Now and all Hyundai family!

Just picked up a 2017 Elantra limited for the wife today with only 25k miles on it! She has a 2009 mini cooper that has become a money pit, so it joins my 2016 Sonata Sport, but mines got 123k on it haha

Like a new car again

Just replaced my old, worn out and busted backup camera and falling apart trunk release on my 2016 Sonata Sport and boy is it nice to have a backup camera working again! The lens on the thing was fubar’d bad! Was super easy to do..literally less than 10 minutes to swap out!

Tale of two mugs

The Titanic Exhibition was in Cleveland back in 2014 and I got a reproduction third class mug…now it’s back and I got a second one, thinking i didn’t have my original, but heyyyy I still had it! They did change where the logo was, but otherwise close to the same. Interesting to compare the two, but always loved the simplicity of the design.

Titanic Exhibition in Cleveland!

Took my step son to the Titanic Exhibit at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland today! Went back in 2014 when it was here and was awesome to see everything again! Even got the same mug as last time since I didn’t realize I still had the one from 2014 🤣🤣

Detailed the Sonata today!

My 2016 Sonata rolled over 125k miles on the odometer this weekend, so gave her a detail! Special thanks to Chemical Guys and their Diablo wheel cleaner, along with Mothers Back to Black. Car still looks fantastic for its age!
