Is cutting power at the breaker enough to postpone a wiring issue for a few months or is it still a fire hazard?
In two weeks I will have to leave the country for 3 months. Today the electric kettle in the kitchen stopped working mid-operation. I did some troubleshooting and noticed the issue is at the start of the daisy chain of unused plugs. The plug at the start of the chain smells like burning, the others down the chain including the one where the water cooker was plugged in (the only one in use) - don't.
I don't intend to fix this on my own, but I'm wondering if simply leaving the breaker off for the whole kitchen (or even the main one for the entire apartment?) would be safe enough to postpone the fix for when in back at the end of November?
Is the fire hazard completely eliminated if all breakers are shut off?
Edit: changed "water cooker" to "electric kettle"

Did you witness the 1970, 2011 or 2014 floods in Genova? What was your experience of the event and how do you feel about the city's ongoing projects for future flood defence?
Hello, I was reading this scientific paper about the warming of the western Mediterranean and how it will drastically increase the risk of floods by 2040 in cities like Genova: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/393599089_Warming_in_the_Western_Mediterranean_Fuels_Wetter_European_Storms_and_Heightens_Extreme_Flood_Potential_Rapid_Mediterranean_warming_brings_extreme_floods_risks_for_Europe
It got me wondering what your experience as locals was of the previous floods and what are your opinions of the various projects I've read about from the city management covering flood defences such as the Bisagno Stream flood diversion tunnel etc.
Proposal: Make the Strait of Messina wider instead of building a bridge to Sicily
Did you or anyone you know move to more "uncommon" countries for balkaners, and why? Like somewhere in Africa, Asia, Latin America etc.
Most people who leave the Balkans have the usual stories of moving to somewhere within Europe or going to the US, often for economic reasons.
I'm curious if you know anyone who has relocated to more "uncommon" destinations like somewhere in Africa, South America, Asia etc... what made them go in the "opposite" direction?
I wish outlaws had a dlc where you play as a bountyhunter, letting you actually bounty hunt.
Would be the perfect game for a secondary campaign with another character.

Rey is an amazing pilot, but I'm happy she's not yet again "the best pilot"
Just finished rewatching The Force Awakens and I'm happy Poe Dameron is introduced as the best pilot in the resistance and he keeps that status throughout the trilogy.
I'm kinda tired of the Star Wars trope where a kid who drove a land speeder or whatever, sits in a starfighter for the first time in his life after being briefly introduced to the concept of the force, and is immediately the best pilot who has ever lived.
"No, you're coming with me. I'll not leave you here. I'm taking you to Coruscant for a trial and public execution for the decades you've spent committing atrocities. Switching sides last second doesn't erase all that and make you a good guy."
Did George Lucas even watch Episode II before making Episode III? One movie Palpatine is a normal politician who loves democracy, the next he’s literally Space Hitler. The writers clearly had no plan for Palpatine and it shows.
What did Disney mean by Yoda endorsing book burnings in The Last Jedi?

I visited Czechia recently and I found it hilariously morbid that they named this kids toy "pan Slaninka"
Reminds me of Chris P. Bacon lol
