Mason Rudolph Is Rooting For Pittsburgh's Young Quarterbacks. He's Also A Little Jealous.

"I'm very aware that the fanbase is starved for a franchise QB," Rudolph said, via Tribune-Review Sports' Tim Benz. "People want to have hope for the future beyond this year. We've got two great QBs who are young and progressing. I really am jealous of the structure they have had and this program and this QB-grooming system the way that Coach [Mike] McCarthy has done it because I feel that they have made a lot of strides. I'll be rooting them on Friday."

[Highlight] Browns managing partner JW Johnson on the anticipation towards the new Huntington Bank Field. "Winning is paramount for us and this organization and for our fans. We know we have to put a good product on the field...but we know this building is going to be second to none."

Drew Allar looked great for the Steelers in his first NFL action. 10/13 for 154 yards with 2 passing Td's and 1 rushing TD. Way to go Drew!!!

Happy to see him smiling and balling out!

Coming in today's game Evan Sisk had let in 13 of 20 runners on base which is 65%. Don Kelly decides to bring in Evan Sisk with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Predictably he gives up more runs.

Michael McKenry goes after Paul Skenes in the post-game. Says it's not even like watching the same guy anymore and he's extremely concerned if he's healthy or not.

Don Kelly said after the game that Paul Skenes is reaching back and he simply just dosen't have the same velocity anymore. Disproves the theory that Skenes is just 'saving his arm'.

"Maybe trying to get the velo back. He knows it's down a mile per hour. You can't just go and get it. How does Paul make the adjustment?"

That's literally Don saying Skenes just dosen't have it anymore and i'm officially in panic button mode and people need to be fired for not figuring out wtf is going on with our most valuable pitcher/asset in the rotation. This is ridiculous that no one knows what's going on and there's 0 answers about if Paul's healthy etc.

Also Paul's velocity was down on every single pitch tonight, and not just his fastball. Plus Michael McKenry said he's worried and that Paul doesn't look like himself at all.

I did some digging on Jared Jones last 2 starts and it's been fascinating. He's essentially completely scrapped his curveball and his changeup has barely been used when u go through all of the pitches thrown by him.

Jared Jones has thrown 152 total pitches in his last 2 starts and he's only thrown 13 changeups and 1 curveball in those 152 pitches. That's not nearly good enough and it's not going to cut it when you're predictable throwing the ball and Jones is extremely predictable.

Edit: He's thrown 138 pitches that were either a fastball or slider in his last two starts.

Pirates starting rotation has massively regressed this season. Went from 6th in ERA last season to 21st this year. Also several statistics showing how awful Ben Cherington has been as a GM throughout his entire professional career.

Don Kelly says what everyone already knew. That Jared Jones needs a 3rd pitch.

To have your team president before the season come out and say this, and for the team to most likely miss the playoffs and be under .500 again is unacceptable. Alot of jobs need to be gone.

Dan Zangrilli who works for the Pirates said Paul Skenes is out of shape. He might be right with photo evidence of him from last year vs this year.

Paul looks thicker compared to last year in his lower half and backside. He might've put on more weight and not be in as good as shape this season. Skenes from this season is in the black hat btw compared to him from the last season in the light hat.

300 million dollar difference in payroll between the Dodgers and the Brewers this season btw before the Skubal deal.

Thought i'd post the summary of the 3rd day of training camp in the form of tweets. Mike McCarthy is impressed with Roman Wilson, Asante Samuel Jr, and Daylen Everette. Kaleb Johnson got some reps as well.

Don Kelly was asked why he didn’t use Mason Montgomery for a second inning.

Wth is he even talking about here honestly. He admits the pitch count was ridiculously low but says him going 2 innings would've had 'residual effects' whatever that means. My question is when is WINNING going to be the priority with this team?

Jason Mackey who's connected to the organization said Ben Cherington is buying no matter what even if the Reds were to sweep them. This screams like a GM trying to save his job.

Benton was practicing at DE today and not DT. Also Allar was making all the right decision today and delivering accurate balls all practice long.

Seems like Rodgers and the new coaching staff are giving Roman Wilson a chance this season. Hopefully a fresh start is exactly what the doctor ordered. Plus Kaden Wetjen was targeted today and took first team reps on punt returns yesterday.
