Can I run two operating systems from a single USB drive? (Kali Linux + Tails)

I currently have a 64GB USB drive with Kali Linux installed on it.

Is it possible to install Tails on the same USB by creating separate partitions, so I can have both Kali Linux and Tails on one drive?

If yes:

- Will the bootloader recognize both operating systems separately?

- Can I choose between Kali and Tails when booting?

- Is this a supported and reliable setup, or are there any limitations or issues I should be aware of?

I'd appreciate any advice or guides from people who have tried this.

How difficult is to get a job after a masters in 2026

Hi everyone,

I'm 24 years old and graduated with a cse in 2024. Like many fresh graduates, I've been struggling to find a stable job, and I've been thinking a lot about whether pursuing a master's abroad is the right path.

I have a friend who's planning to go abroad for a master's despite the current job market. From what I've been reading and hearing, finding jobs in countries like Canada, the UK, and even some parts of Europe has become much more difficult than it was a few years ago. Yet many people are still choosing this route.

My family's financial situation isn't great. We're not wealthy, so going abroad would likely mean taking a significant education loan. That honestly scares me because I'd eventually have to repay it, and there's no guarantee of getting a job.

So I'd like to ask those who have actually gone abroad (or are currently studying there):

- Why did you still choose to go despite the current job market?

- Was it worth the risk?

- How difficult was it to find a job after graduation?

- Do you regret taking the loan, or did things work out?

- If you were in my position today, would you still recommend going abroad?

I'd especially love to hear from people who came from a middle-class or financially struggling background and are now doing well abroad. I don't want sugar-coated answers—I'm looking for honest experiences, whether positive or negative, so I can make an informed decision.

Thank you.

How can I reconnect with an old friend after two years when I feel embarrassed about how my life turned out? (23M, 23F)

I'm 23M. Back in 2024, I became friends with a girl (23F). Before we stopped talking, I told her that I wouldn't contact her again until I had achieved something in my life. I promised that I'd get a job, build my career, and one day meet her in real life.

Unfortunately, things didn't go the way I expected.

It's now 2026, and I'm still unemployed. I've spent the last two years at home improving my skills and applying for jobs, but I still haven't reached the career milestone I hoped for. Seeing people from my past moving forward with their lives has made me feel like I've fallen behind.

Recently, I saw that she posted pictures from abroad. She had been working on improving her English and preparing for IELTS, so it looks like she's doing well. I'm genuinely happy for her, but at the same time, I feel ashamed of where I am.

I've wanted to reach out for a long time, but I keep holding myself back because I feel like I haven't kept the promise I made. I'm also nervous that she'll ask what I've been doing for the last two years, and I don't know how to answer without feeling embarrassed.

I'm not asking whether I'm right or wrong or whether I should contact her. I'm looking for advice on how to approach this situation. If you were in my position, how would you start the conversation? Would you acknowledge the promise I made and explain what happened, or would you keep the first message simple and catch up first?

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has reconnected with an old friend after a long period of no contact.

TL;DR: I (23M) promised an old friend (23F) that I wouldn't contact her again until I had achieved something in my life. Two years later, I'm still unemployed and haven't reached that goal. I'd like to reconnect, but I don't know how to start the conversation without feeling embarrassed. I'm looking for advice on how to approach it.

I Feel Helpless Watching My Family Give Away Our Only Land

Hi everyone.

I'm a 2024 graduate and currently unemployed, so I'm not in a position to contribute financially yet. My family is going through a difficult time, and I honestly don't know how to process what's happening.

My sister is getting married soon. For almost three years, the groom told her he didn't want any dowry, so my family trusted him. But now, just before the wedding, his mother has started demanding ₹3 lakhs. Whenever my sister asks the groom about it, he either walks away or says he doesn't know what his mother and family discussed. He doesn't seem willing to stand by what he originally promised.

Since we don't have that kind of money, my parents have decided to give our family's only piece of land to the groom's family. This is the only land we own, and I can't help but feel heartbroken. Once it's gone, it's gone forever. It's the only asset our family has, and I know its value will likely grow over time.

I understand why my parents are doing this. They don't want the marriage to fall apart, and they want my sister to have a happy future. But at the same time, I struggle with the idea of giving in to a demand that wasn't there in the beginning.

Because I'm unemployed, my opinion doesn't seem to matter much. I feel powerless watching all of this happen, and I don't know if I should keep trying to speak up or simply accept their decision.

I'd really appreciate hearing how other Christians would approach a situation like this. If you've been through something similar or have any wisdom from your faith, I'd be grateful to hear it. Please keep my family in your prayers.

I thought of opening a small business in that place but it looks like God has different plan for me

My family wants to give our only land as dowry for my sister's marriage — I feel this is a huge mistake

I'm a 2024 cse graduate and currently unemployed, still searching for a job. My family is middle-class and we are going through a very difficult financial situation right now.

My sister is getting married soon. From the beginning, the groom told her he didn't want any dowry. They've known each other and been talking for almost 3 years, so my family trusted him and believed money wouldn't become an issue.

But now, just before the marriage, his mother has suddenly started demanding ₹3 lakhs. Whenever my sister asks the groom about it, he just walks away or says, "I don't know what my mother and family talked about." He doesn't stand by what he promised earlier or try to stop the demand, which makes me feel like he's avoiding responsibility.

Because we don't have that kind of money, my parents are now planning to give our family's only piece of land to the groom's family instead of paying cash. The problem is that this is the only land we own, and I strongly believe land is a long-term asset whose value will continue increasing over time. Once we give it away, our family loses its only major asset and financial security forever.

I understand why my parents feel pressured. They don't want the marriage to fall apart, and they want my sister to be happy. But I can't stop thinking that giving away our family's only asset because of a dowry demand is a terrible financial decision that we may regret for the rest of our lives.

Right now I'm unemployed, so even if we took a loan, I can't help with the monthly payments immediately. But I truly believe that if I get 1–2 years, I can find a job and start helping my family financially. That's why I keep wondering if there's any alternative, like taking a loan against the land or mortgaging it temporarily instead of permanently giving it away.

The hardest part is that nobody in my family seems to take my opinion seriously anymore because I'm unemployed. They think I'm a total failure, so whatever I say gets ignored. Even my sister doesn't really listen to me. I also believe I'll be mocked by relatives during the wedding because of my current situation.

I honestly don't know how to convince my parents not to give away the only asset our family has. Am I thinking practically, or am I being unrealistic? If you were in my position, what would you do?

I thought of making a small company there but it looks like it won't happen

My family wants to sell our only land for my sister’s marriage — I feel this is a huge mistake

I’m a 2024 graduate and currently unemployed, still searching for a job. My family is middle-class and we are going through a difficult situation right now.

My sister wants to get married soon, and because of marriage expenses, my parents are planning to sell our only piece of land. The problem is, this is the only land we have, and I strongly feel land is a long-term asset whose value will keep increasing over time. Once we sell it, we lose that security forever.

I understand why my parents feel pressured to do this because we don’t have enough money otherwise. But I feel really uncomfortable losing our only asset for something that feels like a short-term financial need.

Right now I’m unemployed, so even if we take a loan, I can’t help with monthly payments immediately. But I keep thinking that if I get 1–2 years, I may get a job and then I could help repay things.

I’ve even been wondering if there is any arrangement where someone could give money temporarily against the land, and after 1–2 years I repay them and take the land back, instead of permanently selling it.

Am I thinking practically, or am I being unrealistic here?

What options would you consider in this situation if you were in my place?

Edit: they already lost the hope on me they think I'm a total failure so they don't give any minimum respect to me not even my sister do that and I believe at the marriage time I will get mockery from relatives..

Got the "Cheater Detected" screen 6 times already. Is this normal?

I'm a relatively new Valorant player on Mumbai servers and I've already had 6 matches terminated by Vanguard with the "Cheater Detected" screen. I thought cheaters were supposed to be pretty rare in Valorant, so now I'm curious whether this is normal or if I've just been extremely unlucky. How often do you guys see this happen?

And also lemme know which server is better.. because most of the people are kids and there are annoying, no hate but most of the people can't communicate in english and I don't know Hindi that's why..

Should I buy gymnastics rings instead of a door pull-up bar?

I’m considering buying gymnastics rings for home workouts because I don’t want to drill into my walls to install a pull-up bar. My house has single-brick walls, so I’m not confident they would safely support a mounted pull-up bar. Door pull-up bars seem more limited in terms of exercise variations, while rings offer many more options. My house has a corrugated asbestos cement sheet roof (AC sheet roof) supported by steel/iron pipes, and I’m thinking of hanging the rings from one of these pipes.

I weigh around 70 kg.

Do you think gymnastics rings are a good investment for strength and calisthenics training? Also, would it be safe to hang them from these steel pipes?

If anyone has experience using rings in a similar setup, I’d really appreciate your advice.

Hey guys , I want to ask if I should buy an Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ that’s about 2 years old from a random local person(actually far away from my hometown). I don’t know him personally, but he said he’s willing to give his Aadhaar(identity) if needed.

The main issue is — he doesn’t have the box or bill. He’s offering the phone for 15k inr

Is this a great deal, or am I getting scammed here?

i'm open to take your advices, thank you
