we tried something new and shot the main storyline of our short film on a Sony FX30 with an attached CPL filter. CPL filters boost saturation and reflect light from indoor windows, so it gives off a nice dreamy effect. Only downside is that it’s tough to focus with so much added light so there’s some blurriness 😅
also shot using a Canon EOS R10 & an iPhone 15 for flashbacks/B-roll
here’s our horror/drama short film we shot using a CPL filter that allowed us to achieve this dreamy look. The CPL filter amplifies saturation and reflects light off indoor windows.

hey we’re student filmmakers, wanted to hear any and all thoughts on how we can improve on our horror short film, specifically the color & pacing (but feel free to give us tips on other stuff you think we should get better at!)

both .win & .fi

what I liked so much about .win was that it had a really updated listing of new movies/tv shows
any new suggestions welcomed, thanks
