The trauma dumping is getting overwhelming

My mom’s trauma dumping is honestly starting to break me. Even though I’ve been at it for as long as I can remember.. maybe 8 or 9 was when it started. I’m planning to start therapy soon but I had to plan for it financially so realistically I can only begin in about two months. I don’t know how I’m supposed to keep carrying all of this until then. It’s starting to feel like more than I’ve handled before.
What scares me even more is that I’m starting to see myself becoming like her in certain ways that I hated and I’m so aware of it while it’s happening but somehow I still can’t stop myself. And the worst part is that in those moments it almost feels like I take pride in it. I hate admitting that but it’s not my ugly truth. Is it??
I’m also going through a breakup after dating a guy for 6-7 years and I really need my mom right now. I haven’t told her much about what I’m going through because things between us are complicated and I don’t even know how to explain it all cause I myself am going through so many emotions. My family thinks I handled everything well and that I’m already over it but deep down I’m really not okay and maybe I just want some happy time with her.
I don’t have the emotional capacity to be there for her and constantly absorb her problems and struggles when I’m barely holding myself together. And a lot of what she’s struggling with is also connected to my siblings. They’re navigating their own lives too, but sometimes they’re incredibly disrespectful and hard on her. She separated from my father when I was around 7 and I am 23 now and I end up feeling like I have to absorb the aftermath of everyone’s emotions.
I love my mom and I know she’s struggling too. But I’m starting to realise that understanding someone’s pain doesn’t mean I have the capacity to carry it for them. Right now, I desperately need someone to take care of me too.
I need tips to make myself stronger please

I’m thinking of starting a water can business and would love some advice

I’m considering starting a packaged drinking water / 20L water can business and I’m currently in the research stage.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has actually been in this business or knows the industry. What are the things I should be aware of before putting money into it?
A few things I’m particularly curious about:
How much capital did you realistically need to get started?
Is the business actually profitable after considering delivery, cans, filtration, electricity, labour, etc.?
What are the biggest challenges you faced?
How difficult is it to build a customer base and get regular repeat orders?
Is it better to start small and focus on a particular area?
What licences/permissions and quality requirements should I be aware of?
How important is having your own delivery setup?
What mistakes do people commonly make when starting out?
I’m based in India, so I’d especially appreciate advice from anyone who has experience running a water-can business here.
Even if you decided NOT to start one after researching it, I’d love to know what made you change your mind.
Basically, I’m trying to learn from people who have already been through it before I make any expensive mistakes. 😅

What is this error? I am not able to file a claim!

Could this related to my transfer claim which was done almost a month ago?

Does anybody else feel like they’re becoming more like their parents?

I don’t mean the obvious stuff like saying the same phrases or making the same noises when you stand up.
I mean catching yourself reacting to situations the way they would maybe valuing things you never understood growing up or suddenly understanding decisions you once judged.
It might even be something you always admired or something you hated growing up and swore you’d never become, only to catch yourself doing it years later.
Was there a specific moment that made you think, “Oh no… I’m becoming my mom/dad”? Was it comforting, funny or did it make you stop and reflect?
I’d love to hear the moment you realized it and whether you’ve embraced it or are still trying to change it.

what’s something you miss from your twenties and something you’re glad you left behind?

If you could relive your twenties exactly as they happened, would you?
What would make you say yes and what would make you say absolutely not?
I’m curious what people miss the most and what their grateful age, experience or maturity helped them leave behind.

Please stop asking Indians to submit GACs for non-Indian Instagram accounts.

I’m honestly getting tired of receiving DMs from people asking me or other Indians to submit Government Advisory Channel (GAC) requests for Instagram accounts that belong to non-Indians. Even after I explain that this can create legal and compliance issues the response is “I’ll pay you.” Please think about what you’re asking. Offering money doesn’t make something legally or ethically acceptable. It’s unfair to expect someone to risk themselves just cause you’re desperate to recover your account.
You can very easily find posts from people who tried to help without knowing the implications and ended up facing problems themselves. Many of them weren’t trying to do anything wrong they genuinely wanted to help. I’m not going to lie, I was willing to help too but before doing that I decided to do more research and that’s when I realized this isn’t nearly as simple as people make it seem. There are legal, regional and compliance considerations that shouldn’t be ignored because people have been involved in court hearing due to this!
I’ve made several posts to help people with disabled Instagram accounts. When I noticed many non-Indians were asking for help, I even spent time researching recovery options outside India and created posts specifically for those cases.
If I can take the time to research solutions for countries I’m not from then surely you can do the same for your own country. Use Meta’s official support, Meta AI, search for recovery methods that apply where you live or look into the government and legal channels available in your region.
If you keep browsing a subreddit where most users are Indian, you’re naturally going to see Indian-specific solutions. That doesn’t mean those solutions apply globally.
Please stop asking people to put themselves in a difficult legal position. Respect it when someone tells you they can’t help. Not every solution is transferable across countries and no amount of money changes that.

When did you realize a friendship was over?

We’ve all had friendships that slowly faded or ended all at once. What was the exact moment that made you realize, “Yeah… this friendship is over”? Was it something they did, something you did or did it just quietly drift apart?

For everyone outside India 🇺🇸🌍

First of all, don’t panic. Seriously.
From what I’ve seen, there’s a very good chance you’ll get your account back. This worked for my friend in the US and for several other people I’ve spoken to. Stay patient and don’t lose hope.

Step 1: Complete the appeal through the Instagram app. If possible, use Incognito mode or a VPN before submitting it. If your IP has been flagged, this may help prevent an automatic rejection. Upload your selfie or video verification as soon as you’re prompted.

Step 2: Fill out this Meta support form with as much detail as possible:
https://help.instagram.com/contact/1784471218363829
Don’t keep it short but include everything that happened, when it happened and why you believe the suspension was a mistake. For the people I know, that alone was enough and their accounts were restored in roughly 60 hours.

If your account still isn’t restored, here’s what I’d try next:
Step 3: Subscribe to Meta Verified through your Facebook account.
Important: If your Instagram and Facebook are linked through Accounts Center and you can’t access either account, you may not be able to do this. That was my situation and it was incredibly frustrating.

Step 4: Once you’re verified, contact Meta Support through the live chat and explain your situation. Ask them to escalate your case for a manual review.
I’ve also seen people who have access to Meta Ads Manager or a Facebook advertising account use their business support chat to reach Meta directly, so that’s another option if you have it.

Most importantly, don’t let the negative comments convince you that your account is gone forever. People who recover their accounts often stop posting updates, while those still waiting continue commenting.
Stay persistent, be patient and keep following up. I genuinely hope you all get your accounts back🤍

I got all my account back after these 5 steps!

NOTE: This method is mainly for accounts that haven’t already submitted an in-app appeal. If you’ve already appealed you can still give it a try but success may vary. I also recommend using a VPN or opening the pages in an incognito/private browsing window before you begin.
I actually lost one of my Instagram accounts because I used the in-app appeal option and never received a proper human review. Later, I came across this method in a Reddit post earlier this year, decided to try it and it eventually worked for me. My account wasn’t restored in a few days!
It took almost two months so be patient if you don’t hear back immediately.

Step 1: Submit a Report to Meta
Go to: https://help.instagram.com/
Select “I want to report another issue” or “My account is hacked.”
In the URL field, paste your Instagram profile link (for example: https://instagram.com/yourusername).
In the description, briefly explain your issue, for example:
“My account was mistakenly disabled for account integrity reasons, and I believe this was an error.”
Wait for Meta’s response. You’ll usually receive an automated email within about 15 -20 minutes.
Take 3 screenshots:
Full screenshot of the second (short) email
Screenshot of the top portion of the first email
Screenshot of the bottom portion of the first email
Step 2: Submit a Complaint to the GAC
Go to: https://gac.gov.in
Fill in the details:
Date of Complaint/Decision: The date you submitted your grievance to Meta.
Ticket Number: The reference number from Meta’s email (Example: S-2857282838838484828).
Respondent Name: Instagram
Website: https://www.instagram.com
Email: metagacintake@meta.com
Respondent Contact Details:
Amrita Kaushik
fbgoindia@support.facebook.com
Meta Platforms, Inc.
Unit 28 & 29, The Executive Center,
Level 18, DLF Cyber City, Building No. 5, Tower A, Phase III,
Gurgaon – 122002, India
Step 3: Subject
Wrongful Account Disablement and Failure to Conduct a Human Review
Brief of Complaint / Justification / Relief Sought
Use ChatGPT or Gemini with a prompt like:
Draft an appeal to the GAC against Instagram for disabling my account due to [reason for suspension] (@username). It is a [X]-year-old account with [X] followers

Upload Supporting Documents
Upload the 3 Meta email screenshots under “Copy of Complaint.”
Upload a screenshot showing your account is disabled under “Any Other Relevant Information.”
This is simply the process that worked for me after trying several options. Every case is different, so I can’t guarantee the same outcome, but if your account was disabled by mistake, it’s a route that may be worth trying.

If you get stuck anywhere during the process, feel free to DM me and I’ll try to help.

Idk how I really feel about what my best friend did

For context, we’re both women and have been best friends since school so it’s been almost 10 years. I’ve always seen her as family. I also got out of a serious relationship in January if that makes any difference.
Recently, we went on a trip together after a long time and the vibe felt completely different even though our itinerary was going just as planned.. this one night after we got back to our hotel room she started undressing in front of me and I felt like it was fine because she felt comfortable but then she started jumping and shaking her body kinda dancing and squeezing herself (if you know what I mean) and asking me how her body looked or how it was making me feel ??? We’ve always complimented each other growing up so I didn’t think much of that as well!!!
Until she asked me to undress too. I told her I wasn’t comfortable even thought at some point I wanted to but I thought that would be the end of it cause I said noo but later she started asking me personal questions about how I masturbate and whether I use toys or vibrators. I tried to brush it off because she’d been drinking I kept telling myself it was just a weird conversation??? until she took out a vibrator dude and she turned it on and started using it while I was in the room. I froze and went to the bathroom because I didn’t know how to react. Ngl I was getting wet but it felt wrong???. When I came back she was completely naked in bed almost about to finish and I changed the subject after sick or what not and we eventually went to sleep. The next day she acted like everything was normal but I felt awkward the entire time mostly cause of how I had seen her😭😭😭
She knows I’ve had experiences with women in the past, but I’ve never looked at her that way. To me, she’s always just been my best friend almost like family which is why this caught me so off guard. One thing that has made me realize this wasn’t about being uncomfortable with women in general is that she’s aware I’ve had experiences with women before. If this had been someone I was actually interested in, I probably would’ve been excited but with her I’ve only ever felt love and respect in a purely platonic way. She’s my best friend so my brain just couldn’t process the situation in that context. Was she testing the waters or was it just the alcohol? How do I even bring this up?

What’s a hill you’re willing to die on about India?

Whether it’s about our culture, food, people, traditions or the way we live, what’s one belief or opinion about India you’ll always stand by? I’m more interested in hearing the reasoning behind it than whether people agree.

What’s something from your Indian childhood that you wish today’s kids could experience just once?

I know every generation says this but I genuinely feel lucky to have grown up when I did. There was something special about a childhood that wasn’t constantly online. The little things often became the biggest memories.
If u could let Gen Z experience just one day from ur childhood in India, what would u choose and why? I’d love to hear the stories not just the things u miss❤️

A Gentle Becoming

Before I ask the world to understand me,
I will learn how to sit beside myself gently.
I will become the kind of presence
I spent years searching for in other people
steady, warm, unafraid of my depths.
There is something sacred
about surviving your own storms
without allowing them to turn you cold.
I do not want pain to make me smaller.
I want it to make me softer.
Wiser.
More careful with the hearts of others.
Because this life has enough people
who know how to wound.
I want to be someone who knows how to hold.
So I will keep becoming light
not the blinding kind that demands attention,
but the quiet kind:
the candle left on for someone returning home,
the dawn that arrives without applause,
the small warmth that reminds another soul
they are not alone here.
And when I cannot find kindness in the world,
I will begin with myself.
I will speak to my own heart
as if it belongs to someone worth saving.
Maybe that is the meaning of all of this
to know suffering intimately
and still choose tenderness anyway.
To become a refuge
instead of a ruin.
To carry a heart
that remains open
even after learning
how fragile everything is.

What’s a kink that made you stop and think, How did I even end up liking this?

No judgment, just curiosity. Was there a moment, memory or experience that you think shaped it or has it always just been part of you? I’d love to hear the stories behind the psychology, not just the kink.

What’s an oddly specific fear you have?

It can be something ridiculously relatable like walking straight into a crystal clear glass door in front of a crowd and having to decide whether to laugh it off or fake a concussion😭😂
Or something completely irrational, like deep lakes. I don’t care if it’s only 20 feet deep my brain is convinced that there’s an entire civilization staring back at me.
I need to know I’m not the only one😂
