Recently moved into a new house and we’re trying to figure out how to best utilize or decorate this spot in the master bedroom.
We already have a bookcase, chairs, mirror, and clothing storage elsewhere. We do NOT want a TV in our room. What would you do?
Just discovered this how-to video while I was reading up on pouring my own shed slab and the ASMR really worked for me.
We recently moved into this house, and the living room is way larger than our last space. We’re struggling to figure out exactly what to do with it. We want it open to better accommodate guests. The accent chair and coffee table will be replaced eventually, and the TV will be updated to a larger size.
We do want a rug, and we do want more art on the walls (we already have one painting and a mirror, though they’re not very large).
My wife was in the market for a new sheet music shelf (which the Kallax works beautifully for btw), and the closet in her music room measured out to be the perfect spot for it. The only problem? I forgot to account for the width of the door jamb, which I realized the second I pushed the fully built Kallax up to the closet door. So after taking a minute to figure out how I was going to make this work, I decided the best option was to rebuild it inside the closet.
I pushed it back into the living room, removed the outside frame, broke the cubbies down into sections, and rebuilt the frame in the closet on top of a box so I could reach the bottom screws. Then I carefully pushed the cubby sections into place and squeezed it together, screwed in the top screws, and lifted the shelf enough to have my wife slide the box out and voila!
It was an adventure, with an inch to spare on either side of the shelf, but we got there in the end.
This has been happening for weeks. I can block and report one number but they just call again using a new number. There is no one else on the other line, if you pick up they immediately hang up, and no messages are left.

I'm curious how other people handle days when a big sporting event they're interested in is happening. Do you schedule your work around it, avoid checking updates until you're done, or take short breaks to follow the event?
The IIHF World Championship Final between Switzerland and Finland is taking place today, and as a hockey fan I'm finding it a little difficult to stay focused on work.
For me, major finals like Switzerland vs Finland don't happen every day, so it's tempting to keep checking for scores and updates throughout the day.
What are your best productivity tips for balancing work responsibilities with following a major event like the IIHF World Championship Final?
This is a genuine question about staying focused and managing distractions while working.
Lowe’s has a sale going on for the LM2135SP for $649 plus a free 5 Ah battery. My lawn is only .17 acres and I’m in the market for a new mower anyways. I already have the 18” chainsaw and weed whacker.
Two years ago I threw Reddit’s advice out the window and bought a [side-by-side Samsung Bespoke fridge with white glass](https://www.samsung.com/us/refrigerators/side-by-side/bespoke-side-by-side-28-cu-ft-refrigerator-with-beverage-center-in-white-glass-sku-rs28cb760012aa/).
Why did I make this foolish decision? I did a good bit of research, including watching Ben’s Appliance and Junk’s review, and I came to the understanding that the bespoke fridges used a newer ice maker design that avoided many of the complaints of the other Samsung fridges. In addition, it just looks really good. So I pulled the trigger.
Fast forward two years, it still works like new! I’ve had hardly *any* issues (more on my one issue in a bit). It still looks great, keeps my food cold, and the beverage center with built-in water pitcher is just genius and we use it aaaaall the time.
My ONE issue with the fridge is actually the ice. The ice bites, the tiny ice cubes it makes, tend to freeze together and become one solid clump if they sit for a long period of time. I don’t use them that often, and when I do want them I have to empty out the ice tray to get rid of the big clump so it can make more.
Other than that, I love the fridge. We’re actually moving to a new house soon and I plan on getting the three-door version of the fridge. Highly recommended!
