Okay so I(ftm) need advice because apparently my French class has decided to become a dating simulator.
There’s this guy sitting next to me who is REALLY fucking cute. He’s also an athlete, and apparently he’s already fluent in French!
The problem is I have absolutely no idea if he’s into guys. My immediate assumption is that he’s straight and probably has a girlfriend because, y’know, cute athletic guy in college™. But I also realize that I’m making a lot of assumptions based on absolutely nothing.
I actually want to talk to him, though. I was thinking I could use his French skills as an excuse since he’s fluent and I could ask for help (despit not struggling in any French class). Something like asking him about an assignment or asking how he learned French.
I don't want to come across as weird or immediately make it obvious that I think he's cute (or maybe I do??? Idk). I just want to become friendly with him first and see what his vibe is.

Just came back from visiting family for a doctor's appointment. I've been on T for 2 years now. I have a deep voice, facial hair, legally changed my name and gender marker, etc.
Apart from my closest cousin, my little brother and step dad are the only one's in my family that call me the correct name.
My little brother understands that I'm a man.
He told me yesterday that my mom and her boyfriend told him that I'm a girl and that my name is "dead name". He said that they kept trying to "correct" him when he protested.
I'm sick and tired of this. I'm a man! If my autism little brother that struggles with change can pick that up quickly and rarely make a mistake, then so can grown ass adults!
I can't take this shit anymore! My mom refuses to use my name unless we're in public or for legal stuff. Her boyfriend just doesn't even bother.
I've had my therapist talk to. Her multiple times about this bullshit and she gets better for 1 week. Then it's back to her bullshit.

I've already had problems with financial aid all summer and they finally fixed the issues I was having with them.
My Pell Grant has been added to my tuition, but that's all.
Nothing else has been applied to my tuition or given back to me.

I’m having an issue with my laptop where my keyboard lighting settings refuse to change when I launch games.
Inside Armoury Crate, I have a Scenario Profile set up for my game, but when I launch it, the keyboard colors don't change at all. If I try to go into Windows 11 Settings > Personalization > Dynamic Lighting, it says "No Dynamic Lighting-compatible devices detected" and Armoury Crate doesn't even show up in the background apps list there. The Windows page just says "more stuff coming next year / last updated in 2024".
I've tried:
The basic lighting presets (Static, Breathing, etc.) work perfectly fine through the main Armoury Crate menu. It’s only the "Advanced" Aura Sync / Scenario Profile stuff that won't apply to my games (or anything in general).
Has anyone found a workaround for Windows Dynamic Lighting completely blocking Armoury Crate on TUF laptops? I'm not super tech-literate, so I'm hoping to avoid clean-wiping my laptop or running complicated uninstall tools if possible.

I've been going periodically to financial aid to ask about my aid package. Specifically, my un subsidized loans.
I've been told since the start of summer that the un subsidized loan should show up in my account closer to the start of my classes (summer b).
I've been told I meet all the criteria to get the loan and that all I had to do was wait. I checked constantly to make sure I wasn't missing anything and financial aid always insisted that it will show up in my account the week my classes start.
I went today again because my classes start tomorrow and the loan still hasn't shown up in my account.
Financial aid told me today it may because I have a work study.
I've had a work study since spring and it never altered my otheir aid amounts. I'm unsure why it would in the summer.
In addition, while my aid package states I'd get $3,000, but despite my asking, I don't work enough hours to get close to $3k.
I'm not sure what to do in this situation or if anyone else has been told the same.

I am enrolled in 12 credit hours. Where did my Pell grant go?! The initial amount with the Pell grant included was already bordering on me eating nothing but ramen noodle packets all semester, but now I legitimately have to consider dropping out and moving back home.
I have never experienced this much pain with financial aid with any other post secondary institution.
