Best gold for very pale neutral (warm leaning) skin

I’ve always thought I was cool toned but turns out I’m not! Silver works very well on me. Some golds are too yellow/bright for my skin and do clash a bit. I really want to try gold again as I feel like I’ve avoided it because I always assumed wrong. I tried a few warm toned gold makeup filters and they actually work really well on me.

Any recommendations for a gold that works well for pale neutral (warm leaning skin)? Thanks!!

Sleeping on ADHD meds

I’ve just started elvanse and I’m getting to sleep at around 2 (usually sleep around then normally but I think it’s impacting the effectiveness of the meds). I think my body needs to adapt but I’m also wondering if it’s just that I have too high expectations of the meds. I’m on the lowest dose (I do feel a bit of a change but I’m also before my period which I’ve heard can stop the meds from being as effective) and I’m pretty sleepy during the day but struggling to actually get to sleep. I am basically just on my phone the whole time though. This is what I did before my meds because nothing really worked for me (being off phone/magnesium/reading a book and so on) and I just wouldn’t sleep until 1-2. I thought if it will help me sleep, being on my phone wouldn’t matter too much and if I was too wired to sleep anyways it wouldn’t do much difference. I’m pretty awake/wired at night. I’m also wondering if it’s my body temperature. If my body temperature is too warm at night I really struggle to sleep. I do feel warmer than usual so I think it could be the meds.

Does anyone who sleeps well on Vyvanse find that they can sleep even when on their phone or do you still need to have a routine (being off screens for a bit before bed and so on) ?

How to prevent acne?

I have acne prone skin and have been clearing it up really well (with Epiduo and Lymecycline) but I’ve heard some people get acne as a side effect. I’m a bit worried as I’ve worked hard to clear my skin. Is there anything I can do to prevent the side effect? And has anyone (who has acne prone skin) had 0 issues when it comes to acne when on Vyvanse?

Just took 22mg of Vyvanse for the first time!

First of all, I’m probably being really impatient as I have put a lot onto these meds working and helping me feel better. But I took them 30 minutes ago and there’s not much of a change. Does it usually take people longer to feel the full effects?

I was also gonna ask how do you guys get to sleep okay? I struggle with it already so I am worried about that chance I’ll struggle to sleep. So yes if you guys have any tips for sleep that would be great thanks!

(Mentions of struggles w food) Also with food, is it best to have snacks during the day? I know it’s a common side effect to struggle with eating so how do people get around that? Thanks!:)

Enhancing beauty tips!

I really enjoy doing things like hair/skincare and so on. I have a routine to look put together and I was wondering if anyone has any tips they do to enhance their natural beauty (or even makeup tips that have levelled up the game for them). I have a skincare/haircare routine that works for me and a style that I like. Same with makeup. But I feel like small things can make such a difference. I’ve always been scared of tweezing my eyebrows in case I mess them up. But i recently tweezed them to clean them up and it automatically made me look more put together. It would be awesome if we could all share some tips or something like that!

One thing that really helped me was figuring out my undertone (cool) as a lot of makeup never really worked for me. Now I wear cool toned makeup and it enhances my face rather than looking off:)

Best everyday body SPF that’s cruelty free?

I’m in the Uk and I’m mainly indoors during the weekday. Most spfs leave annoying stains and are a bit of an arse ache to deal with. I have really pale skin though that doesn’t tan, just burns (it isn’t overly quick to burn but I’m definitely more sensitive than my friends who can tan) so I want to be careful and not develop sun damage over time. Any suggestions?:)

Cool toned contour?

I’ve had a look on a lot of the posts about cool toned contour but I can never get any of them because they don’t ship to where I like/aren’t cruelty free (sephora’s collection).

I’ve now realised bronzer does not work on me at ALL lol. And my contour (anastasia beverly hills in fawn) that is supposedly a cool toned contour is too warm for me.

For context, I am extremely pale (translucent lol) with cool undertone and a lot of cool toned products still pull orange on me.

I’m looking for a contour that allows me to mimic the shadows of my face/shape without any warmth. Any suggestions?:) thanks!

Skin tint for a soft glam look?

I’m not doing anything too glam but I’m going out tonight and want more of a soft glam look than everyday. I usually use foundation when I’m doing this kind of look but I’ve realised I have been completely delusional and it is not my shade at ALL. The only other option is a skin tint (iconic london) which is my shade and matches my neck perfectly. Do you guys think it would work as a base? My acne (mild moderate- some noticeable spots) is flaring up at the moment so I’m wondering if it would be likely to work well? I’m not going to use bronzer (too pale lol) so it will be more of a blush/highlighter look anyway

Did anyone move onto epiduo after using differin??

Differin helped my skin clear up quite a lot over the past 6 months. My skin does keep flaring up though and at the moment it is struggling a bit again (not as bad as it was before differin). I went to the doctors as this has been happening for a month. He’s told me the differin might just not be strong enough anymore. He’s put me on antiobiotics and epiduo.
(My acne atm is on the lower end of moderate I would say)

I’m a bit nervous as I’m now used to my skin being clearer than it used to be. When I started differin, I did purge a bit but it wasn’t extreme. I’m aware I will probably purge to some extent (but I’m really hoping it will be minor). Has anyone else switched from one to the other? I feel like the differin might have built up my skins tolerance somewhat, so I’m hoping the purging wont be as bad (maybe wishful thinking lol)

Is iconic London skin tint in fair cool actually suitable for pale cool skin?

I’m thinking of blind buying it as someone who has a similar skin type to me recommends it. It’s apparently very cool toned and unlikely to be orange/yellow on cool toned skin. I’m VERY pale and have been looking for a skin tint that that wont turn my orange. Has anyone tried it, and if so did it work for u?

Pale foundation that doesn’t make me look like an orange?

I am STRUGGLING to find a foundation that doesn’t look orange on me/completely different to my neck.

I’m pale (with some redness on face) and I’m cool toned. I love the nars light reflecting foundation (only recently realised it is too dark for me lol) but I need a new foundation as it isn’t cruelty free. Not the biggest fan of matte foundations and would prefer something like the Nars light reflecting (medium/buildable coverage but more skin like than matte). I would use this for soft glam/going out looks. I’m also looking for an everyday foundation or skin tint that I can use to cover redness and even out skin tone.

Anyways yeah, lighting makes it impossible as sometimes I look like casper the ghost and other times I look like I have more of a sun kissed glow lol.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated!!:)

Cruelty free cool toned foundation?

Everything is always too orange! I have a cool undertone (i think) and most foundations don’t match my face/neck. I also have some redness on my face which makes it confusing but I mainly want to have the same shade that is on my neck (pale/cool toned). I am looking for a skin tint also but any recommendations for cruelty free complexion products would be really helpful. Ty!!:) I’m looking to buy a more natural ‘your skin but better’ foundation/skin tint to wear daily and something I can wear when doing a soft glam look

Any idea what type of acne this is? If it is acne?

I don’t usually get acne like this on the left side of my face. There’s a few little spots (shown on image) and one spot in particular is really itchy. But the whole area is quite itchy. Can’t tell if this is acne or a reaction (not using a new product though) ?? Any ideas on what it could be/could help it? Thanks:) I use differin and has been working really well. Still get flare ups from time to time, especially around period but doesn’t get like this

Dyson airwrap or straightener?

I am focusing on making my hair healthier and less prone to damage. I bought the air wrap as I felt like it was a perfect way to keep my hair healthy when I do have it straight/do a blowout. BUT I have 2c/3a hair, so I pretty much have to use the round brush if I want any results to last for more than 10 mins. And because of my texture, I have to use it on 60% wet hair and with a LOT of tension. Otherwise it would look insanely puffy really quickly. I am currently 50/50. Hair curly half the time and blown out/straight the rest. So it would be at max 1x a week that I straighten it or use the Dyson (works well for me as I love wearing curly hair but I also love wearing it blown out). I can’t figure out which is the least damaging. Obviously the straightener gives a lot more heat damage but I can imagine the brush could cause a lot of breakage? Considering I use it 1x a week max I was wondering if one works out better for the health of my hair. Any thoughts?:)

Best hair oil for shiny/healthy hair?

My hair is pretty dry at the moment. I have naturally wavy/curly hair (2c/3a) but my curl pattern isn’t great due to neglecting my curls for so long. I have had some thinning due to deficiencies but my hair used to be really thick so it still looks like it has volume (but it dries really quickly so I’m guessing my hair is higher porosity now). It definitely can’t manage super heavy products BUT it does seem to need more moisture than most lightweight products can give.

I really want to get into hair oiling but not sure what oils to use. I already have leave in ones but want to start using the pre shower ones too. I don’t really trust TikTok lol so does anyone have any suggestions? Are you supposed to put them on your scalp as well?

Vaseline lotion alternative?

I really love the vaseline lotions bc of their price and how good they work but they aren’t cruelty free so looking for an alternative. I already have a body butter, but I want something from a squeeze bottle (or similar) with a lighter consistency than that. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

Anyone else feel so disconnected from themselves and life???

I feel like I’m constantly just living my life through a screen. I don’t feel not real in a way that freaks me out (sometimes it does), it’s just a constant disconnection from life and those around me. I used to be a big emotions person and incredibly sensitive (still am js different) but I’ve become so numb to peoples emotions and life itself (I’ve had a lot of issues with mental health I’m healing from and currently I’m diagnosed with ADHD but have overcome depression and so on). Don’t get me wrong I can enjoy things or feel love for people but my baseline is feeling nothing. And honestly atm all I can feel is annoyance towards those I love which I can’t even bring myself to feel guilty for (used to have rlly bad guilt spirals) bc I am so exhausted and burnt out and even a small question feels agonising to my brain. So when people talk to me, it’s painful to have to interact and I just kind of sit there.

Does anyone just not know how to act or feel anymore. Like I feel so weird and alien I act based on how I think I should act. I rarely ever just enjoy and exist. I’m constantly aware of everyone around me and feel analysed. Like people are watching and have expectations and I just act based on that. Sometimes all I can focus on is how I am perceived which is shitty and impacts how I interact with my family at times and so on. I’ve fully lost sight of who I am and what I actually want to be doing. I honestly feel like a robot who is acting the way I think I should he rather than a human just living lol.

Feeling pretty lonely so wanted to know if anyone relates to any of this? Has anything helped anyone and so on:)
