Working in non corp jobs

I have only worked corporate. Granted its only one year experience but when I move to the states, i plan to apply in the food industry. My grad course is way different but its always been an interest of mine. Im a dual citizen so no need for work visa or anything but i wanted to ask about how to apply for these types of jobs? is it more of a walk in type of applications or are there online applications as an introvert hehe? for resumes, since my only food related experience was a home baking stint i did every holiday, do i include that or just let the corporate job happen. btw ill be living in california, around pasadena or LA area. thanks!

I hate my mind sometimes.

Sometimes I get annoyed at myself because I might be doing something wrong. Later, I might get scolded. I'm really frustrated with my brain, like seriously. Sometimes it feels like my overthinking is over the top and it's kinda killing me. I get anxious that I might have messed up or not. How do I change this mindset? If it's wrong, then it's wrong, but it's really hard to let go in my mind.

Is resigning the right answer?

i have been here for about 6 months and i have been debating whether i should resign. i keep having panic attacks and ayoko na talaga. the workload is getting kinda heavy for an entry level position and my other seniors are resigning which keeps pushing my decision to resign. i just want to leave the company already. the people are really nice but i guess being in this position and company causes me great anxiety because its kinda a lot. i just dont like this anymore. i feel so tired and drained all the time.

What to know before moving to USA

I would be moving in California and everything is almost ready. For context, I am in my early twenties and I got petitioned by my relatives. I would be living with them and everything is ready na for me to move na talaga. My only issue is, I have a lot of questions that need real answers. Not sure why (siguro kasi they really want me to move there na) but sometimes I feel like they give me too positive answers so I would appreciate some honesty (but still be nice😅)

  1. How is public transportation like in case I havent gotten my license?
  2. Is the job market bad right now? Should I not be picky with my first job there?
  3. How is the cost of living? How much does rent normally cost If I would soon want a place of my own?
  4. Any adjustments I need to make in terms of attitude, culture, personality, and others?
  5. Any general advice of someone starting out pa lang?
  6. How did you build your community/network/friends in a new place?

I think thats all I have rn but any advice especially related to finances or work would really help. thanks!

How do u know if u are performing well?

Hello! fresh grad na 1 month pa lang sa new job. Going 2 months na in a bit and tasks are being assigned to me na slowly. I dont know tho if i am doing well. No major mistakes so far. wala ring small mistakes also kasi pinapacheck ko talaga mga pinapagawa ko but i dont know if i am doing well. for context, probie pa lang and hopefully maregularize but if not then thats fine also. i want to stay kasi the work is fine and the team is good as well so overall its a nice environment and i see myself here long term. sabi kasi during our talks with hr, we should gauge if marregularize kami kapag 3-4 months na or at least check if kamusta ang performance. so i dont bring it up that often. however, pano nyo naggauge na u are doing well naman without hearing those words exactly. for example, u did a task tas wala namang revisions needed. is that a good sign? idk feel ko kasi im not performing well even if mukhang okay naman pinaggawa gawa ko. any thoughts on this? also, for those na hindi naregularize, did this hinder you from getting your next job? thanks!

Anxious or overthinking in new job

Hi! I recently started a job and 2 months in Im still anxious or overthinker masyado sa work. I have a great team tbh like they are so helpful and when i ask for questions they are very approachable and all that. they arent that hard sa mistakes as well. they genuinely treat it na okay you made a mistake thats fine just learn from it. pero ang pinakapinagaanxious ko is communicating. like nagooverthink ako whether i should reply to emails or messages na parang hindi naman need replyan but for the sake na ikaw ang last message so it doesnt seem rude. i think the corporate aspect of it yung medjo nakakaoverthink sakin lalo na like mga email etiquette and stuff like that. the job itself is fine but the way to communicate with others yung nakakano. also may fear din sa mistakes. yes i mentioned na okay sila with mistakes but idk may fear lang ako na something might happen. any advice on how to make me be calmer? is this normal for a fresh grad thats starting their first job?

overthinking and anxious sa job

this is my first real corpo job. i love the people and the work itself but i keep spiraling tbh. its been about 2 months and the first month, i didnt really do anything just a couple of trainings and tasks. the people here are great! the seniors are easy to talk to and when i have questions, they answer it agad. my problem mainly relies on me and my thinking. i keep overthinking things which leads me to ask questions na feel ko alam ko naman sagot pero takot ako gumalaw. it sometimes gets to the point where i would ruminate on the issues. i dont know how to stop thinking about it. my biggest fear is making a mistake. i genuinely feel so weak and sometimes drained over the thinking. the office is a great work enviormnet and i want to stay here long term but the way my mind is working feels like this could be so difficult.

I have a crush on a straight girl

this is the first time this ever happened. Ive been in relationships before and they were always queer. i never really had a crush on someone who was straight so this is all new to me. i dont really have plans on pursuing this person after learning na straight nga sya pero the little kilig moments are still there. like when she would message me what i think would be a little flirty but i know na baka ganun lang sya kafriendly. im really trying not to have a crush on her anymore but not really sure how HAHAHA i mean i dont plan to tell her my feelings either since we just became friends and we have a group project pa coming up soon and i dont want to make things awkward or what. not really sure what im looking for maybe just a place to let this out.
