Anybody adding modern day things to their fantasy?

In my case im giving my characters with afrocentric features edges and im really considering adding drag queens, idk! Kinda like what they did in the Wicked movies. Kinda historic with very modern additions

I just finished the movie!

I had a really good time! I loved it! The music was amazing, the characters were good and its definitely better than the 4th one (as much as i love that one too)

Reincarnation

This might be a stupid question but when the avatar dies, does a baby pop right put their mother the same day? Or do they get born around 9 months after the fact. Indulge me

Jude is just a great main character

Do you ever read a book and sometimes you just want the main character to just shut up sometimes? I dont feel that with Jude. Idk if its because she's genuinely well written but its like im always rooting for her. Also a little off topic but I barely like s*x scenes but that whole chapter had me giggling and kicking my feet! Like she got the boy, she got the crown, she's on top of the world! Anyway im just always rooting for her success

Actors I would cast for charcters

1: Cynthia Erivo as Evelyn Sader. If you heard her voice as Queen Malkia of the Midlands in The Two Princes, this is self explanatory. She's also just an extraordinary actress!

2: Keith David as August Sader. He just gives off wise and blind father figure to me.

3: Hannah Dodd as Princess Uma. If you've seen Bridgerton you would understand perfectly.

4: Octavia Spencer as Sheeba Sheeks. Keep in mind, i just rewatched Ma days ago. And Octavia always seems a little sinister 😭

5: Lucy Halliday as Mona. I saw her in The Testaments and i think she would be a great Never.

6: Grace Ackary as Arachne. She looked alot like Arachne's portrait. just imagine her with just one eye

7: Johnna Dias-Watson as Yara. Johnna is Oliver Watson's (The guy who played Tristan) sister. And i can see the resemblance

Jack and Agatha

I kinda wish they had some sort of interaction with them both being from Gavaldon and all. Im assuming Jack wasnt really keen on being kidnapped and taken away from his family or home. He could've asked how it was over there or wtv.
