My uncle said she was the 'uglier' cat recently

Compared to her sister who isn't entirely black. Anyways this is her meeting her half-sister (her mother was a stray who kept returning to a family friend to birth babies- she's now neutered and all the way in Brazil). Even with her attitude so stank I think she's so beautiful. She loves her little sister now

Don't know if this is the right sub, but what are you essentials for a deep clean?

I'm quite young and still a student but I've been renting with my boyfriend. We're about to go away for two weeks and I'm trying to trick my ADHD into doing some life or death cleaning. However, I feel like everything is so dirty but I can't narrow down what? I wipe the tiles of the bathroom and despite not using too much spray and a decent microfibre- it just has this weird coating. I feel like I'm making it worse? What are some tips for helping me come back to a flat that doesn't cause me immediate anxiety? Anything and everything no matter how intense.

Painting dimensions and creases

I'm reposting this everywhere because I am losing my mind. Somebody please help it needs to look as realistic as possible despite this being my first time. I am a perfectionist. Thank you!

How to paint creases and dimension?

I am not a painter or artist but I work with children and love to make toys for them. Despite the fact I am very much not someone who paints- I am a perfectionist. I need help making this as realistic as possible. Thank you!

How many of you have bought Vs are renting?

Born and raised in North London. I don't think any of my friends will be able to buy a place. Just curious how many people here have bought and maybe their income/jobs? I'm really curious as someone raised here.

Edit: Why did I get downvoted for asking this lol?

Something that stood out to you during your nanny's trial?

I'm about to do a nanny trial and I'm quite nervous. What has stood out to you in the past when your nanny had a trial? Or nannies, what did your employers comment on? Thank you!

How long did it take everyone to become 'good'?

I've been working for days on a doll sculpture and have had to restart multiple times. Id love to build my way up to the level I see here- how long did it take you all?

AI was created to numb the critical thinking skills of individuals and rewire the brain to be more conforming e.g. being less critical of politicians and companies

Creating a new generation of individuals unable to think for themselves and thus easily swayed by propaganda and political ideals pushed by the media.

Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy/Santa was created to soft-launch religious belief systems in children

Making children into adults that are more susceptible to believing in a higher power (religion) or Monarch/President etc

I need a reminder

Please can someone remind me whenever possible (for when I wake up) to collect things from the fridge before I go to work. It's very urgent and I forget every single time but these things are necessary for work. A reminder for food colouring would help too lmao. This will probably get deleted but I need some ADHD on ADHD support

Edit:

Thank you everyone, I've packed everything up for work. Genuinely a massive help. Most successful start to a day of my life

Can't get myself to do anything

Even things that bring my enjoyment. Granted I am in a bit of a tough place but it makes me more miserable not doing anything. Is there anything I can do that won't give me ADHD paralysis but will keep me occupied? Not a promotion post

I am not seeking any traffic to this account. I simply have been uploading things just as people on nanny Reddit were asking about activities under one. I may be banned on here as well but I am not getting any money etc from posting ideas on an Instagram account that people requested. @theirdevelopment

This is not a promotion. I am not encouraging you to follow this account it's just if you want inspiration. I can't emphasise this enough. I don't want to break any rules.

Being an employee

I just think it's really hard sometimes to remember that in most situations, you will be treated as an employee before you are treated as a person (as with most workplaces). It's very easy to get comfortable and feel connected to the children etc and take a step back but it is very important when preserving your mental health. Employers, particularly rich ones, will often do what is convenient for them and you can be discarded.

I found a warning sign is when an employer discusses how good of an employer they are and how well they treat their employees. I think I realise now you wouldn't need to announce it if it were true.

Please just protect yourselves as this job can take a lot and not give a lot. Absolutely give your best, I don't regret spending hours of my personal time making plans and resources, but just being conscious of the sense of security you feel working within someone's home. Try to prioritise yourself when you can- as hard as it is.

I'm heartbroken

I'm aware the NP follows the nanny Reddit so I'm coming here for some advice. My charger plug is faulty and my worst fear is it not charging and the alarm not going off. Well that happened and I woke up two hours after my start time. I worked seven days last week and I am still working and thus have just not had time to get it fixed. I was spending every evening (shops closed) planning and making resources and activities. I was putting everything into this job.

I was fired. I can't stop crying and it's been hours. I was so excited for this job- it felt perfect. I have messages from yesterday of me telling my friends how amazing it is and how scared I am to mess it up. Financially, I don't even know if I can afford school next year (early years degree). I had booked things and planned daily fun activities and really just tried my best. But this phone being cheap and faulty just destroyed me. This is nothing against the mum at all.

I really am just inconsolable and I just need to feel like it's going to be okay. Emotionally and financially I'm wrecked and I can't bear the thought of my family asking about how it's going (also knowing how excited I was) and finding a way to tell them. I'm so angry at myself for not predicting this better and having backup etc- I've just been so exhausted and fighting off a virus. I don't know. I really am just shattered.

Any advice on how to process this would help. This has never happened to me before. Right by the third anniversary of my mum's death as well and everything is compounding together. My boyfriend needs emergency help as well due to a possible severe infection.

Edit: I will be fixing my phone and have also ordered a physical alarm clock. Thank you everyone for just saying things will be fine- I was in such a state earlier that I genuinely felt like everything was over. I feel much better.

Re Activity Inspiration

I just posted about possibly creating an account regarding unique activity ideas for children and things that parents have been impressed by. I was wondering if anyone had any specific age requests or focusses if people are still interested?

A lot of people struggle with activities with infant

I was wondering if people would be interested in me making an Instagram account where I share some activities (particularly with ages like 4/5/6/7 months). I tend to make quite unique activities and ones that go beyond toys and bubbles. This is not to seek any attention to an account or anything- I just thought it might be helpful for everyone asking.

What are some extremely unique names that you'll never meet?

My siblings and I all have unique names but I struggle to find beautiful sounding ones that aren't ridiculous.
