Can this be a big opportunity for RKLB?

Source: TelecomTalk

So I’m in the very small minority of RKLB investors who are from India and live in India.
I’m going to be assuming that most of you don’t know what JIO is/how big of a company it is.
So let me give you guys a brief context:-
Reliance(the parent company of JIO) is the largest company in India with a market cap of 186 Billion dollars USD and is owned by Mukesh Ambani(If you are highly active on social media and pop culture you would know about the Ambani wedding that happened a year or so ago)

Jio is the largest telecom operator in India by a huge margin (524 million subscribers) and is the biggest enabler of connecting most Indians to the Internet.
Although its revenue is much lower than AT&T and Verizon at 13.4 billion USD but that’s because India has one of the cheapest Internet in the world.

There are looking to deploy a constellation of around 1500-1600 satellites for D2D Internet in the next few years.

Why they won’t just choose SpaceX?
So the biggest reason why Starlink still doesn’t operate in India is because of Jio and Airtel(the 2nd biggest) these companies are massive lobbyists and supporters of the incumbent government so Starlink is probably never going to clear the regulatory hurdle in India to operate on a profitable basis and secondly like I said India has one the cheapest Internet in the world,Starlink is too expensive for majority of Indians and there are very few people who have the money to pay for starlink and even fewer would would actually have a valid reason to get Starlink.
Tesla barely operates in India(again due to regulatory hurdles and being too expensive) and sold <100 cars last year here while most EV sales here are Chinese and Indigenous.

Obviously they are going to need a launch partner and SpaceX imo won’t be chosen for the reasons I mentioned(Musk was also one of the few billionaires not invited to the Ambani wedding)

So there are only 2 companies that comes to my mind that can pull this off and they are BO and RKLB.

This could be a massive opportunity for Neutron I think

What do you guys think?

How big can RKLB realistically get from here?

We are already a 65 Billion Dollar Company.

Currently to realise our full potential we would need to:-
1.Establish cadence with Neutron
2.Launch our own constellations
3.Make full use of the Iridium acquisition and their future planned products
4.Start making profits obviously
5.Become sort of like how TSMC is for semiconductors but for satellites for other companies.

If we can pull all of this off I can see us becoming a 500B dollar or so market cap company in the distant future.

So most likely we have the potential to 10x from our current prices.

But is that it?Like are most of you guys also expecting the same from this company and then you guys would either heavily or fully cash out and use that money for life stuff or look for other companies?

Or do you guys think RKLB has the potential in the future to be a 1T or even 5T or like sky is the limit kind of company?
If so please let me know what can we do besides what I just mentioned to reach a market cap of 1T and above?

Monday I’m shorting this shit out of this

Obviously im going to most likely lose money on this but I will post positions on Monday to back it up.Market is unfortunately closed today or I would’ve done it today itself.

Killing physical discs is a stupid fucking retarded decision

For me collecting physical discs was the coolest thing I could do as a teenager (back when I got my first gaming console aka the PS4)
I literally used to go out of my way to buy physical discs and have many times actually even paid MORE to get over their digital counterparts(I didn’t even particularly care about or was even aware of the ownership risks that digital games posses)
I just liked seeing a tangible output for my passion of gaming and stuff I used to save my pocket money for.
My mom also helped out a lot by buying many games for me(all physical discs because she didn’t have a card that supported international transactions back then for PSN store)
Now that I’m in my university doing my masters(I’m going to be a corpo gonk working for Arasaka most likely as I’m doing my masters in business)

I don’t have time to game much anymore but just looking the discs I have on my shelves brings me so much joy of a time gone by.

This is an absolute murder of an essential part of gaming and SONY should be ashamed of their decision

Besides satellites will we ever see any other space applications in our lifetime?

Like right now all space applications are around satellites being used for Defense,Network,Internet,GPS.
Obviously this is where all commercially viable applications are and where RKLB and all other space companies are focusing and rightfully so.

But to me it’s just feels like “How many stuff can we use satellites for”

One interesting thing I’ve heard Peter Beck talk about is that he’s pretty sure about some sort of small or maybe medium scale data centres in space definitely existing wether that is scalable or just as a one off proof of concept remains to be seen, but it’s definitely something he’s sure will exist at some point in our lifetime.

Are there any other space applications besides satellites you guys think that we might see in our lifetime?

Let’s talk about the financials of the deal

RKLB and Reddit has done a pretty solid job of explaining to me why spectrum is important and why Iridium was the best choice for us.It has applications in an area where it almost a part of an oligopoly.

What I particularly care about as a businessman myself is that obviously have we overpaid for it??
(I know the irony of asking this in RKLB subReddit and I know RKLB is a company that does NOT waste money)

The company makes 900m in revenues and makes 100m in profit (approx) that’s roughly 11% net margin.I know their EBITDA margins are much better at 56% and satellites are highly depreciating assets that’s just the nature of the beast. But we are paying 8 Billion dollars for them. That is basically at 80x their actually earnings.

Fiscal Year | Revenue | YoY Growth | Net Income | YoY NI Growth
-----------------------------------------------------------------
2021 | $614.9M | +5.5% | -$8.9M | —
2022 | $720.7M | +17.2% | $8.7M | Turned profitable
2023 | $790.7M | +9.7% | $15.4M | +76.6%
2024 | $830.7M | +5.1% | $112.8M | +632.5%*
2025 | $871.7M | +4.9% | $114.4M | +1.4%

The revenue growth is nice but it isn’t something extraordinary.

I saw on RKLB’s YouTube about that they are going to build upon this spectrum and enter new markets and significantly increase their TAM at the same time have a nice source of recurring revenues and greatly improve their profitability chances.

But like how are we actually going to make the money back, obviously they can’t reveal everything but like what can we make with this spectrum that would eventually make paying 80x earnings seem like a good deal?

Will it be better to invest in Iridium shares instead of RKLB or the other way around

Please pardon me if it sounds stupid,I’m bit of a noob in these things.
But say I buy 100 shares of iridium today since the company is getting acquired by RKLB what would happen to these shares?

Or is it simply better to just buy RKLB?

At what price would y’all start aggressively buying to reduce your avg cost to take benefit of this crash?

I’ve seen many people in this sub say that they’ll start buying again for $75 as that’s where the 200DMA is.
But then $75 could be reached today itself or most likely next week as the stock is being shorted aggressively. So like at what price does this stock become a too good to not buy or atleast start thinking about buying aggressively because we are still a lot of trading days away before the upcoming earnings call

Should we expect any positive surprises in the upcoming earning calls?

Clearly NASDAQ 100 inclusion didn’t really have any positive effects
SpaceX(which isn’t even primarily a Space company at this point) dragging the whole space industry down
Neutron most likely not launching this year
So it’s most likely that the Aug Earning’s call would be the only big re rating event we might get this year

If y’all thought that the top was in,you have no idea about the storm that is about to be unleashed

Just to give some context:-
These 4 brokers have a combined user base of 28.6 MILLION users, even if the average user here has way less capital than your avg WSB retard and even EuroPoors, the sheer amount of users about to start investing in Nasdaq is going to be insane.

Only downside?
Only Equity no FnO

And as per my sources in India, they all are itching so get a piece of US markets so keep “investing” as plenty of people are waiting to be exit liquidity

Please help me in checking whether my understanding about Neutron is correct or not

So the biggest reason RKLB is moving up the value chain to medium lift is because small-lift isn’t as commercially viable as Peter Beck originally thought it would be,but it allowed them to build credibility in the industry and establish successful operational cadence.

Neutron is specially designed to support constellation launches and that’s objectively where most of the commercial and even government and Defense application is for the next decade or so,and that’s why it’s payload capacity is around 13,000\~ kgs whereas most of RKLB’s competitors besides SpaceX are jumping straight ahead to heavy lift like New Glenn and Terran R,because they are anticipating that space operations are going to ramp up massively that the demand will be high enough for massive constellation launches and orbital data centres.
I’ve seen around 3-4 recent interviews of Peter Beck where he has repeatedly said that he strongly believes some data centres would definitely be built in orbit for various reasons and they are not going to be massive data centres that we are seeing propping up in America like the one in Utah but rather much smaller sort of proof of concepts (which obviously supports Neutron) but he has repeatedly said that he’s unsure whether most compute would actually be shifted to space whereas his competitors think the opposite and are more ambitious let’s say in theirs goals(for better or worse remains to be seen).
Regarding satellite constellations he believes medium lift should be enough for majority of companies and that most companies would not start big enough or even scale fast enough to require heavy lift for atleast another decade.

And with Neutron the goal is not to replace Falcon9 but to build itself as a reliable #2 competitor with matching or potentially lower costs and comparable launch cadence directly targeting SpaceX’s most commercially viable launch segment to break their monopoly which obviously gives Neutron the fastest path to immediate revenue which also makes the most sense economically speaking rather than keep working on an operational loss hoping for demand to scale up to make heavy lift the more commercially viable option, and so far it looks like among the heavy lift making competitors(besides SpaceX) RKLB might be the first to market with their new rocket i.e Neutron whereas the competition besides SpaceX is no where near their first launch planned for their heavy lift rockets.

I know they also build software and critical satellite parts which is also currently their most profitable revenue stream and a big chunk of their revenue comes for that which in turns allows them to sustainably fund their Neutron, which wouldn’t have been the case probably if they jumped straight into heavy lift and would’ve most likely gotten into a capital crisis.

I just kinda sorta maybe wished that they designed the payload to be closer to 20,000 kgs for a bit of future proofing.

Hopefully the price stays stable till Neutron launch or remains around this range(I know this will be unpopular wish) so that I can pick some more shares before Neutron.

Full ported into RKLB 5 mins ago

I am a firm believer Space is the next frontier of investments and big money once we stabilise with AI.
Besides unlike AI where besides big corpos a good chunk of people hate it for various valid reasons.
Everyone wants space companies to succeed, because they’re just cool and it’s very fun to “invest” in a company that does cool shit.

My entire portfolio was only $500(broke college student in an Asian country would do that to you)
But this entire $500 can go to 0 and I won’t lose any sleep as it’s money I’m okay with losing and in a company I want to be a part of in whatever small micro way I can be.

The only reason I’m investing in RKLB over SpaceX is because I don’t think SpaceX valuations makes sense and I’m not the biggest fan of musk even tho he really builds cool companies.

The investment amount being so small doesn’t give me the luxury to meaningfully diversify and I honestly don’t want to either.

Since it’s my first investment into RKLB(after tracking it over a year) maybe I’m too late to the party from a financial view but I really do plan to stay in it for the next decade or so mostly because I don’t need the $500 so I don’t have to pull the money out.

Can anyone play with me for an hour or two just for today

I’m currently in ACT 3 about to start the final steel foundry mission(the mission after you save all the prisoners from the underwater prison and raid the factory with them to destroy it)

I ALWAYS play the game with my friend but she’s unfortunately busy right now(mostly because I’m completely shite at this game without her…she has beaten the game on honour mode,so it’s basically her carrying me till here with me just holding my own and two shotting enemies with my paladin)

We couldn’t play today unfortunately because I had an issue with graphics driver today that messed with the game so she wasn’t able to join the game unfortunately…..Long story short after a lot of trial and fixing I think I’ve fixed the game (I literally had to perform a full clean reinstall of my graphics driver and steam and the game itself)

I play as a paladin(my custom TAV)and Karlach
She plays as shadowheart and her custom TAV whose a sorcerer, you can play with her characters or any other of your choice obviously but I plan to do SH’s final side mission so if you can play as SH that would be really cool.

We can literally start playing right now OR an hour later.
Also this would help me to check whether multiplayer is working correctly or not.

I am free to play literally right now but we can also start an hour later if you want.

I’m 23M if it matters to any of you

I’ve got 51$ and a dream(this is all I can afford to lose)

Using indMoney for this:-

1.Alphabet-11$
2.Rocket Lab-10$
3.ASML-10$
4.TSMC-10$
5.Broadcom-10$

And apparently indMoney gives you 3$ worth of stock free so 3$ of NVIDIA

Obviously not expecting anything too drastic if hit 100$ I’ll be happy and if I lose it all ,atleast it’s an amount that won’t give me sleepless nights

ZEE ENTERTAINMENT(TICKER-ZEEL)Gambling on this share purely on vibes 🫡

Literally entirely, the full entire of my gamble on this stock is based on them winning the “World Cup” broadcasting rights in India, that’s it.

Obviously it’s way below its ATH and has been on a massive decline till recently but yeah.

Maybe because of this,it puts more eyes on their OTT series and original shows and stuffs and gives them a massive turn around.Or maybe this ends up in a disaster.

I’m gonna be gambling with 5k rupees and buy it at Monday market opening price
