My method to preventing leaky/loose pumps

My method to preventing leaky/loose pumps

Hey all, thought I’d share a method I recently discovered to prevent leaky/loose Omnipods. I’ve been having a lot of issues as of late, I wear my pods on my thighs and after about 2 days they start to leak pretty bad. People on this thread suggested I put a Tegaderm patch on first, then put the pod on top to prevent leakage, and that has really helped, but I still would experience leaky pumps. I’ve started to cut my Tegaderm patches in half, and I put the first half on my leg and put my pump on. Once it’s on, I take the second half and lay it over the top of the pump adhesive where the cannula is. It may sound pretty simple but having a patch under the pump and over the adhesive has seemed to help A LOT. I haven’t experienced any leakages yet since I started doing this and I thought I’d share if anyone else is going thru something similar!

Is this CarFax history strange for a 2018 w/ 48k miles?

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 48k miles. No accidents reported and 1 owner. Rear shock absorbers, fuel filler door and hood latch replaced all before 50k miles? Does this stuff seem normal?

Left my AirPod in a hot car and now transparency mode doesn’t work

Yesterday I got in my car and forgot I had my left airpod in, I had already driven away and didn’t have the case so I left it in my cupholder and planned to put it back in my case when I arrived home. Unfortunately I forgot about it and it was in my car in the sun for about an hour. We had a heatwave and outside temps reached about 100F (37C). The inside of my car was easily much hotter. I took it out when I realized and let it cool off inside.

It’s been 24 hours and it seems as though transparency mode doesn’t work anymore. If I have just one AirPod in my ear, it sounds like noise cancelling is on. When I put both AirPods in and switch to transparency, the left AirPod still sounds like noise cancelling is on. When I actually turn noise cancelling on, everything sounds normal and there is no sound distortion.

I know this is my fault, but I’m hoping maybe there is something I can do to fix it. Any suggestions?

Why does my skin look so… ugly?

I don’t know much about skincare but I’m really hoping that I can figure out why my skin on my face looks so bad. The first picture is a little exaggerated due to harsh lighting, so I added several pics in different lighting situations. My face is usually very red looking and kinda bumpy. I was told by a derm that I could have rosacea, but she prescribed me two different face creams and they made no difference (this was years ago and unfortunately I don’t remember the names). I also posted here before and was told I have sebaceous filaments which can’t really be removed. Currently, my skincare routine is that I use CeraVe Acne control cleanser in the shower (AM), and then put on CeraVe facial moisturizer with SPF35 sunscreen. At night, I use Eucerin face immersive hydration night cream. Is there anything else I should add?

Been on Lexapro for over 3 months. Unsure if it’s right for me.

I want to preface this post by saying that I see my doctor tomorrow and I’m going to discuss this with her. I’m not making any medical decisions with Reddit advice, I’m just looking to hear others opinions!

I’ve been taking 10mg Lexapro for a little over 3 months (I’m also on Adderall) and I’ve had an interesting experience with it. The first month was really rough for me, I was experiencing worsened depression and anxiety with a ton of other side effects. I know that this can be common when people start on Lex so I powered through it hoping it would go away.

My mood has seen a massive improvement on Lex, and I’m so much happier and less irritable. It’s like the clouds went away and I’m not constantly depressed. The one issue is that my anxiety has worsened since I started it. The severity comes and goes but my anxiety has been so bad that I haven’t been eating and I’ve lost 8lbs since I started. It’s like this anxiety feeling mixed with jitteryness. At first I thought maybe it has to do with my Adderall, but I’ve been on Adderall much longer and haven’t experienced this until the Lex.

My anxiety has gotten so bad that my Apple watch notified me that my average resting heart rate for the past few months (since I started Lex) is higher than normal. I’m really sad because I don’t want to go off of it, but if it’s making my anxiety this bad I might have to. I know that there’s an adjustment period, but it’s been over 3 months and I feel like by now I shouldn’t still be experiencing this much anxiety. Has anyone experienced this?

Sync 1 (4-inch) to Sync 3 upgrade

I have a 2018 Fusion Hybrid S with the 4-inch Sync 1 system. I’m looking at buying an upgrade kit from a website called “Foursynctech” (Link here) but wanted to see if anyone has bought this kit/has experience with it? I’ve installed car radios in older cars in the past so I have some experience but this seems to be a little more involved… is there anything I should know when I do it?

I know that I can probably do it cheaper by individually buying everything, but I would pay extra for the convenience of everything coming together and being pre-programmed and coming with a warranty.

I “downgraded” to a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid S and I love it

I made the decision to get rid of my fully loaded 2023 Mazda CX-5 because my car payments were too high, and it also got really poor gas mileage (I do a lot of city driving for my job). I found a 2018 Fusion Hybrid S with 48k miles and I was able to get the price down to 14k. At first, I was really sad about getting rid of my Mazda because I loved that car, but the Fusion is really impressive.

Sure, it has less features than my Mazda, but the ride quality and road noise is significantly better than I expected, it easily rides better than my Mazda. The seats, while being cloth, are also more comfortable than my CX-5 seats (Mazda notoriously has pretty firm seats). And to top it all off, I just got 43mpg on my last drive (compared to my CX-5 getting 27 on the same drive if I’m lucky)

The biggest complaint I have right now would be the headlights are awful and it’s definitely not a peppy car by any means… but I’m planning on upgrading the headlights and I’ll get used to the power (or lack thereof)

Aside from that, any tips for someone who’s never owned a Ford before? Is there anything I should know?

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid 49k miles just bought. Is this noise normal when turning it on and moving in hybrid mode?

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid S

I currently have a 2023 Mazda CX-5 PP. I love my car, but unfortunately with the price of living going up my car payments are too much. I’m looking to have either a very small car payment or none at all.

My aunt is moving and she will sell me her 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid S with 48k miles for $7k which is well below asking. It’s a one owner and in good shape. If I bought it, I’d be able to sell my Mazda and have no car payment whatsoever. Plus it’s a hybrid, and my CX-5 gets 22-25mpg usually.

I’m not happy about making this decision, but I really need a car that will be cheap/low cost that will last me for a few years and hopefully in the future I’ll be able to buy something nicer.

Is this car reliable *enough*? It doesn’t have to last me forever, but if it can’t last me until 100k at least then I don’t want it.

Can’t tell if I’m balding or if this is normal

(I’m 23m) The hair left side of my head above my ear looks like it has noticeably less hair than the other side. It’s been this way for the past few years at least. My hairline hasn’t receded from what I can tell. Fourth pic is how my hair normally looks (it is curly)

Trying to find the name of this royalty free music off an Instagram ad

Trying to find this 8-bit music off of an Instagram ad. The ad itself didn’t have the song name anywhere. I tried Shazaming it but no results came up.

Lexapro is not working for me, I think I’m going to go off of it (with my dr’s approval)

I’ve been on 10mg Lexapro for over a month, and I haven’t really had any good experiences. My anxiety and depression got worse in the beginning, I’ve experienced so many side effects (sweating, nausea, trouble peeing and sexual function issues), and occasionally I’ll feel high or disconnected. The only positive experience I’ve had was my mood improved slightly on it as of recently. My anxiety is actually worse now than it was before I started taking it however. This morning, I felt so nauseous and high it was like I was on a different planet. I was at a family event and the entire time I felt awful.

I know that this medication takes time to work, but it’s been over a month and my life has gotten worse on it. I really wanted it to work after hearing all of the stories, but I think it might just not be for me.

I was prescribed 10mg and I’ve been taking it for the past 4 days. The first day I got incredibly nauseous for about 30 minutes approx 1 hour after taking it. The nausea went away and I felt fine for the rest of the day. The second day I felt a little drowsy but overall normal. Yesterday I woke up around 8AM, took the Lexapro and went back to sleep (it was my day off) I woke up at 1PM feeling incredibly dazed, like how it feels when you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I continued to feel out of it the entire day, almost like a high feeling. I stayed that way almost the entire day, the effect wore off by the evening. Last night, I woke up at 4AM with a ton of anxiety and I had trouble falling back asleep. I woke up later and got ready for work, and I went through most of today feeling fine. I got home from work and took a nap (not uncommon for me) and I woke up again with the same anxiety feeling mixed with feeling like I’m sick. I also feel kinda in a bad state mentally.

I was told that side effects are normal within the first couple weeks, so I was gonna wait a week before reaching out to my Dr. I’m curious to know if anyone else has experienced these symptoms, and if they do go away? I know several people also on Lexapro and they told me they experienced none of this.
