How do you do these problems? [BB PT 11]

I have seen these type of trig quesitons before and remeber learning them a few years ago, but I don't know what they are called or really how to them properly. I got this question right but that was by reasoning, not because I knew how. I know these are simple but I just need a quick explanation please!

I signed up for the student free year of YNAB month ago and just got this email:

Woah, has it really already been a whole year already?

Not quite, but you've only got one week left of your free student year of YNAB. We hope you found a financial flow state 🧘 as you learned to use the YNAB Method to manage your money.

What does this mean? Why is my free year ending so early?

Dell G15 5511 Touchpad Failing — I2C HID Code 10 / HID Descriptor Failed

I have a Dell G15 5511 with an RTX 3050 and 11th-gen i7, and my touchpad keeps intermittently cutting out. In Device Manager, the failed device is I2C HID Device under Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 43E9, and it gives Code 10: “A request for the HID descriptor failed.” The I2C HID device uses the generic Microsoft hidi2c.inf driver, and the Intel Serial IO controller shows Intel driver version 30.100.2104.1. The Events tab shows the device being deleted/reinstalled, then “Device settings not migrated,” “Device configured (hidi2c.inf),” and “Device not started (hidi2c).”

I’ve updated the BIOS, installed the Dell chipset driver and Intel Serial IO driver, disabled power-saving options where available, tried a power reset, and disabled automatic driver replacement in Windows. Reinstalling or repairing the Intel Serial IO driver brings the touchpad back, sometimes even before restarting, but the issue eventually returns and the touchpad still cuts out from time to time. I’m trying to figure out if this is a known Dell G15 5511 Serial IO/I2C driver issue, a sleep/wake power-state bug, or a hardware problem like a loose touchpad ribbon cable or failing touchpad/palmrest assembly.

How do confidentiality agreements not infringe upon the first amendment?

I understand that the first amendment protects the people from the government precluding speech, and things like NDAs are between two private individuals/organizations so it is not government by the first amendment, but what about doctor-patient confidentiality which is in law or attorney-client privilege? The government is forcing confidentiality, no? Have we as a society just agreed that certain agreements can supersede than the first amendment?

If two cars back into each other while backing out their driveway, who's fault is it?

I am getting this from this reel I saw: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DULmiBbDbMd/

I'd assume that based on the principles of comparative negligence, it would be 50/50 so both parties would pay for their own damages, but is that true? Also, if it is 50/50, would it make more sense for both parties to not inform their insurance as to not increase their premium and since there is no benefit?

When do tickets for Dune 3 on the 21st come out?

Hi, I’m a regal employee so I typically just buy my tickets the day of because that is the only time our free tickets work, but it is my understanding that dune 3 imax at KOP is selling out almost instantly. I was wondering if there was a release scheduled for the tickets, if they release at 12:00 am in the day they are meant to go out, and how quickly they actually sell out.

Should I increase weight for my final set?

Currently, I go to the gym 4 days / week, do 4-5 workouts / day, do 3 sets per workout, and 6-8 reps / set. My goal is muscle hypertrophy. I was told by a friend who goes to the gym that I should do two sets with 1-2 RIR, and go to failure on my last set, but increase the weight by 10-15% before I go to failure. I was wondering if this is at all beneficial or standard practice, and if not, what should I do instead?

I was also wondering, on an unrelated note, how long I should rest between sets and if I should rest longer before a set where I go to failure. I know I could search this up and I have, but I have been getting people saying you can rest for 1-2 minutes and others saying 3-4, but 1-4 minutes is quite a wide range.

Free app for manually tracking spending on food

I'm looking for a free app that lets be track how much I spend on food. I don't need to nor want to connect a bank account, I simply want to put in an amount that I spent, where, and the date, and am able to see how much I spend on food per week/month/year etc. If it is the free version of a paid app that works too. I have tried Rocket Money and Every Dollar, but most of them lack in either all or one of the aforementioned departments.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

[TOMT][SONG] Rap/Hip-hop song that has a chorus where a purportedly female singer is spelling out a world?

There is a song, I am assuming it is wrap or hip-hop (and if it is it is most liekly from a mainstream artistst) becuase that is what I predominalty lsiten to, but otherwise it is probably a radio song. It has a chorus or hook, or at least a part in the song where the voice of girl (the don't think the girl is expliclty feat. but it is kinda like at 1:23 in Nelly's Hot In Herre where the girl just does the chorus_ spells out a work with the following intonation: (rapidy) bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum-bumuuuuh-pause-(slower) bum-bum-bum-pause-bum-bum-bum. Each "bum" is a letter. I think there is an S in the word that is being spelled out. The amount of "bums"/letters varies and I think song is mainly sung by a man, and the chorus is by a girl, but that might be wrong. Any ideas?

This in me trying to hum the song: https://voca.ro/1fzLuSgFt46P

What happens if you swerve to avoid hitting a moose but hit another car?

Let's say I am driving at night 5 miles above the legal limit (lets say i am going 55 mph) and a moose appears in the middle of the road. I apply my breaks but realize I will not stop in time so I swerve into the other lane and hit a car. Let's say everyone survives but there are injuries. Who would be at fault?

At separate but related question: when should you break, swerve, or collide with an animal to avoid liability? I have heard it is better to kill a bunny than to swerve and risk a human life in the eyes of the law, but would breaking and potentially causing an accident be a better compromise? And for larger animals?

Can you be rejected from a journal just based on who the author is?

Can a journal simply reject you because of your experience or lack thereof (e.g. being in high school or undergrad)? Or can you be rejected because your school isn’t prestigious enough? I know you can be rejected if you have a history of misconduct/ethical violations, lied, have been blacklisted, or have a conflict of interest, but that’s a given and is not what I am referring to.

Car smells like really bad when first turning on air conditioning.

I have a 2023 Tesla Model Y long range, and lately, when I turn on the air conditioning to cool the car down, the air it spits out produces a smell that can only be described as smelling like poop. After a while, the smell dissipates and the air produced smells as it should. I am figuring that the issue is the air filters as I recently learned no one ever had them changes, but if that is the case, why does the air conditioning (1) only smell bad when the car is cooling by blowing cold air and (2) not always have air that smells bad, as after a while the air smells fine? Also, is the unreplaced air filters the case?

How do I cut his nails?

I got my male guinea pig 3 years ago and for some reason, I never knew you had to cut their nails. I knew you could, but not that it was a requirement. I feel really bad and want to do it now as better late then never I guess. I’m not sure if his nails have grown far enough out but I heard that there are blood vessels in their nails so you have to be careful. What do I do so I don’t hurt him more?

Fine-woven wallet coming apart

I bought an apple fine woven magsafe wallet a few months ago and the part the is furthest away from the phone (the part the has the apple logo on it), there is some sort of rubber seal on the top of it that has started to peel off, which is causing the back piece to split. Is there anything apple can do or any way I can fix this?

Paper, poster, roundtable, or panel for first time presenter?

I am applying to a conference for research I conducted under the advisement of my professor. My professor has been great while I have been conducting my research, but he does not know that much regarding presenting at conferences as he has been out of the game for a while. I don't really know anyone else to ask so I am turning to Reddit. I loosely understand the difference between paper, poster, roundtable, and panel presentations and prefer paper presentations as I like slideshows more than posters (though I do have a poster made). Is there a difference in acceptance rate between the 4 options, or, more broadly, what are the factors I should consider when trying to decide which option to choose? The conference I am applying to only requires an abstract to be considered.
