3DPrintingTools.org - Community Catalog

A few weeks ago, before even finding this Subreddit (thank you for creating it!) after seeing the flood of epic community projects for 3D printing I built 3DPrintingTools.org - a catalog of tools, where you can also build your own toolbox. Users can rate and comment on tools. Free, no ads, no bias. Feel free to add your tool or start building your toolbox today! Open to feedback!

Printventory - FREE and OPEN SOURCE local 3D Model Management

I tagged this as New Tool but in reality, I have been working on Printventory for over 2 years and we are getting ready to release Public Version 2.2 with many new improvements.

What is Printventory? Printventory came to life one morning I was unable to find a model I knew I had downloaded, Windows search could not find the file and I went to download it again, and sure enough, ModelName(5).stl. So it started as a simple index of my files. I quickly realized I was not alone in this problem, so I had a few people test it as I built out the UI, added new features, made it handle massive libraries, ect. It's free, it's open source, and it's my way of thanking the amazing community.

I have seen many vibe coded solutions trying to solve this problem recently, but they all want you to pay and are closed source. Don't fall for those please, check out Printventory.

Features:
- Supports Windows, Linux and MacOS
- Runs locally but also has a Docker/Server mode
- Handles massive libraries with ease
- Multiple file type support
- Thumbnail and Live Previews
- De-Dup by file hash to free up space
- Print from Zip Archives
- AI Tagging
- Advanced tagging, search and filtering
... and more, I am sure I missed features

Anyways, if this sounds interesting or you are looking for a tool like this, check out the download link below, and I also invite you to join our Discord for feedback, feature requests and troubleshooting.

PaxxTouch for BTT Panda Touch/K-Touch

I've been working on a remote display for the BTT Panda Touch/K-Touch. If you're running Paxx Firmware, this uses the remote screen functionality and lets you take your printer's display with you!

The beta can be installed via the online flasher here -

New chainlink tension- Is this acceptable?

We had a professional installed a new chain link around our back yard last month and we discovered that our dog can press the bottom of the fence enough to escape - does this seem like acceptable tension?

Sometimes you have a model and you want to quickly add a chamfer or fillet to an edge. Design in Tinkercad and miss the ability to make nice edges?

Check out EdgeMagic, free and browser based method for making edges chamfered or fillet. Check it out!

I created a tool for creating templates as well as tracing svgs from within the browser, including the ability to apply fill textures. I use this to make images that fit objects I'm printing on perfectly. It's free and the source code is on GitHub, I created it out of need and figured the community would find it useful as well.

Finally got around to taking apart my Baby Banter to get images of the frame for some X-ray scales for it. The frame of this knife is unique so I love the design
